Delve into the quirky adventures of Mr. White, a long-eared detective, as you gather clues and question odd witnesses in this indie adventure game from Project TLDR.
About this game
One day, a white rabbit finds out—by accident—that he’s now a detective named Mr. White. Right away, he gets a strange case: to find a missing math professor, a gecko named Mr. Sturt. But things get even weirder when Mr. White finds parts of the professor’s body at the crime scene… and those parts are feeling great and don’t want to go back where they belong!
Mr. White gets a case—and of course, he needs your help. You move him around the map to different places, where he can talk to witnesses. You’ll visit all kinds of places—like tree houses, an airship home, and even the ocean floor. One chapter usually takes 1–3 hours to finish.
Mr. White’s Agency is a cozy and funny detective story. You’ll solve fun puzzles, talk to odd characters, and enjoy a paper theater world.
Use keywords in conversations
While talking to characters, you’ll find important words. You can use these words to ask more questions and unlock more clues. It’s a loop that keeps going until you figure everything out.
Fill in your journal
Use the keywords you’ve found to answer questions in your journal and move the story forward.
Solve puzzles
In each location, you’ll solve puzzles together to unlock new clues, meet new witnesses, and discover new keywords.
Our story is all about the characters. We tried to make each one funny and memorable—like Dolly the maid sheep who hates cleaning but loves pickling cabbage, Captain Hogg who always falls asleep on the job, the rude but smart gecko professor, and a surgeon praying mantis who is a little... unstable.
So, dear detectives, grab a cup of tea and follow the white rabbit! 🕵️🐇☕

News: art rework
Dear players! Project TLDR finally has news: we’re completely reworking the game’s art! Sounds like a small update, but trust us — it took us a long time to get there. Since 2021, when we first started shaping the game, we’ve had five different artists work on the project (not counting our game designer. And almost all of their work made it into the proof of concept . All this time, we’ve been searching for the right style, experimenting, and trying different approaches. Now, we’re finally on the right track! First Steps On the left – the very first piece of art created for the game on October 11, 2021. On the right – how this character looks in the "proof of concept" version (and not final yet). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45473605/7b0805c9560aca9e5e957f8a7f3f549c1f465cf9.png We’ve come a long, looooooong way in designing the game’s locations. Finding the right style and gameplay took ages. At first, we envisioned the game more like a hidden object adventure, and the art reflected that. Here’s what it looked like back in 2022: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45473605/d97d67819ad73325e847f44a6f9bc847176f1a98.png How We Ended Up with the Paper Theater Style The picture below is the moment when we first realised that we wanted to go for a paper theater aesthetic. The reason? A deep understanding of game design and thoughtful planning for the project’s future? Nope. We just really liked how the white outline looked (which we then, for some reason, decided to ditch in the next version but now we’re bringing it back again). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45473605/e0e487348377d163d009299c8de162fb67eae220.jpg Then we doubled down on the idea. Unfortunately, this is also when the visuals started falling apart completely. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45473605/9776253b039d0c5f2bbfc6d13f0f6f8db7c472e0.png In the end, we took this whole chaotic mess and tried to turn it into something that actually looked cohesive. The missing pieces? The game designer just slapped things together. Good enough for a proof of concept, rig...Read full article on Community Announcements (gatodebarcocorsario)
