About this game
Endless Descent is a high-stakes roguelike adventure where every decision matters. Players descend into an ever-changing labyrinth of procedurally generated dungeons, armed with medieval weapons and the resolve to survive. But beware — in Endless Descent, you only have one life. If you fall, everything is lost: your character, your progress, and your hard-earned treasures.
Across multiple dungeon worlds, players search for rare and powerful Soul Stones, mystical artifacts capable of enhancing their abilities or empowering their weapons with unique effects. Each descent presents tougher enemies, unpredictable encounters, and the constant pressure to survive. Victory means growth, but defeat means starting over with nothing but hard-earned knowledge.
With intense, permadeath-driven gameplay, deep customization, and endless replay ability, Endless Descent offers a relentless challenge where only the strongest, smartest, and most adaptable adventurers will endure. How far will you descend before the dungeon takes its toll?

Controller Support, Merchant Upgrades, and Combat Fixes
Controller support across the main menu, inventory, merchant, and Game Over screen, with a stick cursor and scrolling. Rebindable controls, including a Hold to Sprint option and an Options screen for display, audio, and controls. Opening cinematic and a smoother tutorial that follows whether you are on keyboard or controller. Merchant upgrades: buy consumables in quantity, sell several items at once, and clearer shop feedback. Loot fixes: the first weapon drop only happens on a new run, and that chest is no longer empty. Tougher bosses, even if one shows up outside a boss room. Combat cleanup: lock-on no longer sticks through walls, enemies face you before they swing, and beam attacks hit reliably again. Inventory: soulstones go into the next empty hotkey slot, and the equipment layout is cleaner. Runs keep your difficulty when you restart from Game Over.Read full article on Community Announcements (Team Emberlight)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch — Boss Rooms & Ability Audio
A small post-launch patch is live. This one is about fights feeling fair and soulstone casts sounding right. Boss rooms Bosses now spawn on the arena floor inside the room, instead of appearing outside or stacked on top of each other. Fire World boss rooms use an updated NavMesh so placement matches the actual floor. Lordenfel bosses can reach the center of the room instead of missing the walkable mesh. Soulstones & audio Ability sounds now follow your SFX volume (cone, slash, projectile, blink, scan, buff, and trap). Multi-ability soulstones use a consistent cast animation, and each ability can still play its own sound. Extra ambient dust on the player character is turned off. If something still feels off in a boss room or on a specific soulstone, tell us in Steam Discussions.Read full article on Community Announcements (Team Emberlight)
