About this game

Secrets of Antares is a walking (and flying) simulator designed purely for peaceful exploration. No combat. No crafting. No objectives. Just you, a jetpack, and an alien planet full of breathtaking beauty — and raw, untamed nature. This isn't a game about action. It’s about presence.

Wander or fly freely through an alien world orbiting the red supergiant Antares — from paradise-like beaches and glowing caves to towering peaks and harsh weather-swept wilderness. There’s nothing to do but exist and explore. Most of the time, you don’t even need your hands — just drift, breathe, and let go.

Key Features:

  • Pure Freedom
No missions, no UI, no distractions. Explore vast environments at your own pace. This is a retreat, not a challenge.

  • Jetpack-Driven Exploration
Walk, hover, or soar across diverse biomes using a smooth, comfortable jetpack system built for VR. Unlock upgrades to reach floating islands, sky bridges, and remote corners of the world.

  • Stunning Visuals
Powered by next-gen VR technology, every landscape is crafted for immersion — from lush forests and crystal-clear lagoons to bioluminescent caves and dynamic cloudscapes.

  • A Planet of Contrasts
Experience moments of calm in paradise... or find yourself drifting through sudden alien storms, heavy rains, and other atmospheric events that bring the planet to life.

  • Effortless Relaxation
No controls to master. No items to manage. Just move and exist. Ideal for winding down, meditating, or escaping into a peaceful alien dreamscape.

  • Always Something to See
Enjoy a real-time day/night cycle, glowing wildlife, and weather that shapes your surroundings — whether you’re lying on a quiet beach or watching a storm roll in across the mountains.

If you’ve ever wished for a VR experience that simply lets you be — in a place that’s not Earth — Secrets of Antares was made for you.

    - Complete overhaul of existing world, including new islands, mountains and secret areas - Further jetpack improvements - Hovering over water more realistic - Fixed distance view low quality graphics - Fixed graphical artifacts, including clouds - Flashlight fix at night - Fixed snow trails and snow on snowy mountains - Fixed floating islands not rendering correctly when flashlight is on during night - Added SteamVR support including Valve Index Known issues and requests - Game still does not support FSR or DLSS (game looks not as good as I want even on quality settings on AI upscale, need to sort that first - tested with AMD card with FSR. Will test DLSS with Nvidia soon) - Pause menu only works on higher elevations, currently when you are too close to ocean or on lower elevation, VR cursor is not visible so hard to choose anything - Jetpack boost with left grab trigger only works from flat surface or in the air - Ocean waves on the shoreline not 100% accurate when game runs on lower resolution - Ocean waves sound not playing correctly on some computers - Snap turn does not work correctly, smooth turn applied in default until fix
