Patch 1.0.9
Patch NotesPlease report any bugs here or write me at wlad@no-more-sleep.com and I'll try to fix them as fast as I can, so you and everyone else can have fun with this game :) Damn, I tested the game on ~16 computers, but now with 600+ players we're finding bugs we never even thought of. I'm really sorry for the crashes and visual bugs, but there should be way fewer of them now, especially with the new zone loader from 1.0.8.Gameplay/Visual Changes:Added a hint to the Hacking Cubes puzzle that shows that the glitch displays the numbers above the cubes. Thanks https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199787221517/Bug Fixes:I got the info that there are still crashing instances when getting into a zone loader when the shaders have not been compiled yet in that zone. This is a very tricky bug which only happens the first time the shaders are viewed. But to fix this I went over every mash and tried to compact all materials in less shaders. We went from 152 unique ones down to 115. This will make everything a little bit easier and hopefully load the zones faster which prevents the crashes.Fixed a bug where the lightmap sometimes didn't load correctly and a whole room looked super glitchy (white walls with lots of dots). Thanks https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199787221517/If the shaders weren't baked yet and you took the central elevator down to the underground, the game could crash. That's because 6 zones got compiled in a really short time, which could max out the GPU memory. The game would then lag so hard that Windows went "this game took all the memory and isn't responding, kill it". Now we load 3 zones at the top of the elevator and 3 at the bottom, so the GPU has more time to do its thing.Fixed a bug where slower systems had a way too fast or way too slow laser in the cube puzzle. When the host crashed for whatever reason, it took the client down with it, because a hard disconnect removed the networking instance the client relied on. Now the client waits a ...Read full article on Community Announcements (TheRealWlad)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 1.0.8
Patch NotesPlease report any bug here or write me at wlad@no-more-sleep.com and I will try to fix anything as fast as possible, so you and everyone else can have fun with this game :) Thank you so much for the 300+ sales already, you are amazing! I also got some feedback that we have bugs, so here is my little patch for that:Gameplay/Visual Changes:When entering the ring cube you are now rotated toward the ring by default. No more searching around for where you are.The speedrun timer now also starts if you already hold a movement key while the scene loads. Thanks to DaPodato and Sl1me_y.The speedrun timer now runs several clock syncs to correct for differences between both players' system times, so you should both see the same time. The timer always starts on the first input from either player, so waiting until both of you have finished loading gives you the best run.Added a little secret for some players from the Discord community.Added a note on the battlefield hinting that you need to look at the stones to activate them.Added an option to disable the VoIP filters. Thanks to .Added a hint to the secret puzzle, since the starmap was confusing. Thanks to https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197989372872Reduced the file size a little by compressing the lightmaps more (-200mb)Bug Fixes:A zone could sometimes fail to load. There is now a retry mechanism that drops the cache between each attempt. Thanks to for sending your log file! The zone loader could lag badly because 5-6 zones were loaded at once. Loading is now sequential: one zone at a time, and the next starts while the previous one is added to the world. Thanks again to .Fixed the Russian translations.Chapter Select was not accessible with controller. Now it is :)Read full article on Community Announcements (TheRealWlad)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 1.0.7
Patch NotesA big thanks to all Streamers and Youtubers playing the Game, this patch is mainly the things you found.Gameplay/Visual Changes:You can now keep using the walkie talkie while reading papers, the hint system or even the settingsAdd a new warning sound when one player is speaking and the other wants to interrupt. Before there was only the red light which was not always noticable while in deep thoughts. Add a small text with the label "Help" above the Hint SystemThe Fov slider has now numbersChanged the Voice Filters in the walkie to sound more like a walkie :) The last room in Chapter 1 was hard to find for some players, so there are now conviniently placed arrows on the floor. The middle button on all keypads now has a different symbol, so players click it to see what it actually is (the color change).Add the steam username as thank you in credits. Pushed up the default microphone gain.Bug Fixes:Fix an untranslated field in the chapter 1 generator sequence.Fix lots of typos. The Owl Container dials sync was broken.Fix a bug where you were given an older shader compile.Fixed a bug where pc controlls where shown randomly while playing with controller. If you have any feedback or find any bugs, please report them in the Steam discussions or on our Discord.
