Content notice: Nexvultus features graphic depictions of violence, including blood, and corpses. Players can use tools, like hammers, to attack deformed humanoid, and non-humanoid entities. Some entities may be grotesque, and display unnatural movements and character designs. The environment in all maps is decayed and abandoned, leading to the possibility of random objects, which may fall on player characters, crushing them. Blood and corpses will be visible. They are also visible in entity attacks. The narrative contains themes of trauma, cult behaviour, madness, dread, fear, and isolation (leading to madness). This game does not have any sexual content.

Navigate through a collapsing reality in Nexvultus, an action-adventure game where strategy meets horror. Use your wits to patch the cracks and prevent dark forces from breaking through.
About this game
Dear Jonathan,
What have you done?

The Veil will not hold.
Use your VISOR to locate unstable fractures in the Veil. Deploy the Nexal Resonator to patch them up. Avoid increasingly aggressive threats while sealing their entry points off, before they overpower you.
Each sealing attempt requires precision. Every failure destabilizes the Veil further, giving more power to what's on the other side.

Seal the Fractals. Contain Exteros. Every operation is a race against collapse.
Nexvultus brings to life a rich, immersive world that players must navigate through. Only environmental clues and fragmented records remain to guide you. Reality is breaking down, and each location reveals how close it is to collapse.
As operations progress, players uncover the truth behind the Veil and what lies beyond it. Each chapter introduces new mechanics, evolving threats, and improved strategies. No operation feels the same.

Features:
Up to 6-player online co-op with proximity communication systems.
Chapter-based campaign with persistent progression that expands the world over time.
Competitive multiplayer: Team Sealer vs Team Monster.
Immersive sound design and original soundtrack built to enhance experience.

Warning:
Nexvultus contains flashing lights and jump scares that may not be suitable for all audiences.
Headphones are recommended for full audio immersion. Contains intense audio cues and sudden visual changes.
Some themes are intended for mature audiences.

Dev Log #3 - The Environment and Immersion
Nexvultus is focused on an immersive environment. With any game, one of the first things that jumps out to most players is: Are we immersed in this? Is this an experience I would want to continue? We know exactly how important that is in Nexvultus - And we're focusing on exactly that. The most obvious and most important aspect here is lighting and graphics. With the limitations of an indie development studio, how can we achieve a timely release, update schedule, and developer workload whilst also balancing an immersive environment. With that being said, Nexvultus has spent nearly 2 years trying to get this just right, so we can get to where we are today in development. We're focused on making sure you always feel a sense of unease whilst playing the game. And that goes beyond just graphics, it goes to how we tell the story. We've spent 2 years writing and re-iterating the storyline, so we feel confident we can achieve one that feels engaging to the player, whilst also balancing gameplay elements that make every round feel different.A big problem with story games is replayability, so we've focused on elements that can make Nexvultus feel unique and different every time you try the story again. Every round brings new possibilities. Every time you play Nexvultus again, you will feel like you're playing a different campaign, or round. There will never be a round where you'll see the same entities in the same places, or the same tools in the same places. You never know what your sealing strategy will be. It will be unpredictable, adding to the unease of Nexvultus. One other often overlooked feature, especially with indie developers, is sound design. We want to make sure that whenever entities are nearby, you feel a heightened sense of unease. Along with that, we felt that making sure the sense of unease is consistent throughout gameplay, so you never truly feel that your safe. When players achieve checkpoints/accomplishments in the story, Nexvultus' developers have composed sever...Read full article on Community Announcements (defergy)AnnouncementsOfficial

Dev Log #2 | Fractal Transformation
Hey Sealers! We've mixed up a fresh new coat of paint for you to assist in your sealing journey. All of the VFX and SFX related to Fractals and sealing tasks with the Nexal Resonator have been revamped to better fit the visual style we're aiming for. Fractal (New vs Old) The Fractal is supposed to represent a fracture in reality, and we felt the old design wasn't effectively doing that. It's VFX have been redesigned to better fit the infinitely repeating void that has been "punched" into space. It's effects better reflect its instability, giving a sense of urgency when sealing them. Fractal Rend (New vs Old) The Resonator has the ability to open or "Rend" new fractals for the purpose of transporting sealers to a site of interest. Originally, this looked very simple and clinical, but has been changed to look like a struggle, since the Resonator is essentially tearing a hole in reality. Fractal Seal (New vs Old) Likewise, it takes real effort to seal a hole punched in reality. The old VFX involved simply closing the Fractal, whereas its redesign shows the true struggle it takes to achieve this, especially on an unstable fractal. Overall, the new Fractal VFX provide a more immersive experience and better capture the chaos of the collapsing veil. Every interaction went from boring and clinical to disorderly and dangerous. Let it serve as a reminder of what's at stake. More updates coming soon! Happy Sealing!Read full article on Community Announcements (FizzyLemon)AnnouncementsOfficial
Developer Log #1 | Welcome, Sealers.
Let me introduce to you the journey ahead.➜ We need you to help us. Only environmental clues and fragmented records remain to guide you. Reality is breaking down, and each location reveals how close it is to collapse. As your operation progresses, you have to uncover the truth behind the Veil and what lies beyond it. Each hour introduces new problems that you must overcome. No operation feels the same. You can choose to go in alone or with a team. There's advantages and disadvantages to both. You can either get more help from others, but you also risk the others causing more problems for you. This is unlike anything you've experienced.➜ This is real. You're the only hope that the world has in order to survive, but the issue is, everything is working against you. You have to work into areas we haven't explored, into entities we've never faced. I'm sorry, but you will be going in blind at certain points of your exploration. Are you ready? Well, you better be.Don't end up like the people that came before. We'll give you time to prepare.➜ For your success, you have the time to prepare. Discuss in our lobby, using the tools we provide to help you succeed. If you're working with a team, discuss what everyone will do. There's a lot of tasks, from gathering key items, to sealing fractals, to distracting entities.Collaboration will become the key to success (in some cases).Decide whether you want to split up or stay as one team. Don't get lost in the sounds.➜ We've heard that the sounds can get disorienting in your expedition. However, they do signal danger. Keep the sounds that you hear in mind, as the more disorienting they get, the more danger you are probably in. It might be too late once you see something, so your ears are one of the best tools you have. Nothing can beat your ears.Nothing you carry will be more reliable than your senses. Not even the tools we provide. So use your common sense when approaching danger.Sealers, you've got this.Read full article on Community Announcements (defergy)
