    Development Diary 20260913

Even though it is only mid-September here in Japan, the weather has started to feel like autumn. I hope everyone is doing well. I recently finished playing the Mark III version of *Haja no Fuuin* (Seal of the Evil-Destroyer) that I picked up last month; it was a fantastic experience. I’m looking forward to seeing *The Backrooms* with my son next week. My family is also hooked on *Lanterns*; since I know the backstory regarding Manhunter, I’m holding back on spoilers and just enjoying it quietly. I'd also like to see "Sword of Azrael" made into a movie.Regarding game development, I have temporarily paused the event creation I was working on last month to focus on building the final dungeon. At the same time, I am checking for overall consistency across the game and making necessary adjustments.I plan to implement boss battles in October, post-game content in November, and the remaining events in December. It’s exciting to see the full picture of the game taking shape as I prepare for the coming year. However, I’ve realized that my knowledge of Steam is outdated and that I need to be mindful of how things used to be done versus current norms. I had originally intended to release an Early Access version next year, but since there seems to be a growing negative perception of Early Access titles lately, I plan to change that strategy. (I’ll take my time and consider my options throughout the coming year.)At the current pace, we expect to see the project nearing completion sometime next year. Once we reach the stage where a release is certain, we will begin updating the store page and releasing a demo, so please bear with us a little longer.Wishing you all a wonderful gaming life!

\Summer is drawing to a close—how has everyone been doing? I spent this summer fully immersed in family time, games, and movies, playing whenever I had a spare moment. I’m really looking forward to the release of *The Backrooms* in Japan next week. This week, I’ve been enjoying videos from Gamescom; it’s always exciting to see American games thriving. Today features an indie game showcase, so I probably won't be getting much sleep tonight! As with the previous update, I’ve been working on implementing in-game events; specifically, I poured all my energy over the past month into the game's mid-section—the most exciting part of the story. Although this pushed my schedule back by a month, the result is something truly great, and I hope everyone gets the chance to play it someday. Now that production is entering its final stretch, looking back at the process, it’s incredibly rewarding to see *Rabbit Conquest* becoming a culmination of all the gaming memories I’ve gathered over the years. I really look forward to the day I can share those memories with the people who play and enjoy the game.↑ This time we will talk about options during battle.Combat options are on the far left and allow you to speed up messages and effects, as well as lock the camera. If you are prone to screen sickness, you may find it easier to adjust. The image of speeding up was inspired by the rhythm of the FC version of "Wizardry". We are still adjusting it, but we will be releasing videos on the store from next year, so please refer to it.In September, I’ll be implementing the mechanics for the final dungeon and adding new events. I plan to temporarily put any delayed tasks on hold to verify that the overall design is functioning correctly. That’s all for now—wishing you all the best in your gaming adventures!*P.S. I’m super excited because I recently got my hands on the Sega Mark III version of *Haja no Fuuin*. It’s a game I’ve wanted to play since I was young, so... apologies in advance if develop...

\It has become the hottest time of the year here in Japan; personally, it feels a bit more bearable than last year, but I hope you are all doing well. My son has started his summer vacation, and we are planning to go see *Spider-Man* next week—I’m really looking forward to it.I have continued working on implementing the game event since last month. Although there is a lot to handle for this pivotal mid-game sequence, improvements in my technical skills give me confidence that I can deliver an enjoyable gaming experience. From August onwards, I will press ahead with implementation, aiming to complete the final dungeon.I have been creating original artwork using a Rotring pen since 2019; however, as I had just started my creative journey at the age of 45, my art style varied significantly from one drawing to the next. My style began to stabilize after I switched to using a G-pen in 2025. While I certainly won't be redrawing everything from scratch, I do plan to correct the pieces where the inconsistency is particularly jarring before the final release. The main quests in the first half of the game unfold primarily through cutscenes styled like manga panels. Conceptually, the game starts as an introduction designed for RPG beginners, shifts to treasure hunting in the middle, and evolves into a *Wizardry*-style hack-and-slash experience in the latter half. The cutscenes also transition to more cinematic, movie-like sequences as the game progresses (though the second half isn't implemented just yet). We plan to release a demo version next year that covers at least the first half, so please stay tuned! There is a rush of new game releases coming up, so let's enjoy a variety of titles. Please take care of your health this summer and have a wonderful time gaming! See you next time.

\Hello! How are you doing? In Japan, it's hot and humid even at night due to the typhoon.I recently went to see the movie *Masters of the Universe* and really enjoyed it (I actually saw it twice). I couldn't stop thinking about Pigboy, and I laughed every time he appeared. Next, I plan to go see *Michael Jackson* or *Supergirl*.As for game development, I’ve been frequently building the game to squash bugs and adding sub-event scenes. From the mid-game onwards, short cinematic sequences (a few seconds long) will play when certain monsters appear. You can customize the player character shown in these cutscenes using your portfolio settings (you can even import original illustrations). This will be my main focus through around October, so expect a similar update next month.See you again next month!May your gaming life be filled with happiness!

\Hello! How was your long weekend? I watched Tokyo Game Dungeon live streams with my family. Seeing the amazing works of young developers is inspiring and motivates me. I'm aiming to participate in Tokyo Game Dungeon next year."It begins with Tokyo Game Dungeon, and it ends with Tokyo Game Dungeon."I want to make that a reality.Lately, I've been debugging the battle system and creating backgrounds for the battle screen. I'll do a build this month, and if there are no problems, I'll start the full-scale assembly work next month. (Currently, 30% is playable.)This game allows you to add portraits in various places, so those who enjoy drawing or have original characters should look forward to it. Sample full-body portraits and faces are also available.See you again next month!May your gaming life be filled with happiness!
