About this game
Battles Against Endless Enemies
Defeat the endless waves of enemies to collect souls and gold. At the end of each wave, decide how to use your resources. Skills and items may work to your advantage or lead to failure depending on your enemies’ traits.
Diverse Weapon Skills
Use skill points earned through leveling up to select a variety of skills. Each character possesses 4 skills, with each skill utilizing unique weapon.
Various Items
Spend coins earned by killing enemies to buy items and strengthen your character. Depending on the enemy composition, you must adapt your strategy to overcome them.
The Journey of the Exiled
You have been banished from Heaven, branded as a heretic. Now their armies march toward you. Defeat them and ascend from Hell to the Land of Mortals, and from the Land of Mortals to Heaven. Spend the souls and gold you earned from defeating enemies to upgrade your skills and purchase items. Emerge as a stronger warrior and slay the archangels to showcase your power. For those abandoned by Heaven, salvation is something you must seize yourself.

The Heretics Playtest 0.0.0.6 Patch Note 2025.05.18
New Hell-Themed Maps Seven new Hell-stage maps have been added. Waves 1–3: These maps are themed around escaping the dungeon where you've been imprisoned. You can strategically use spike traps to eliminate enemies, and breakable objects such as crates and barrels now grant additional resources when destroyed. Waves 4–7: Having escaped the dungeon, you must now travel through the fiery caves of Hell on your way to the Mortal Land. In these caves, lava bursts occasionally create flame zones, which inflict the burning status on both the player and enemies. These hazards can also be used to your advantage with proper positioning. Ongoing Work on Map Interactions Map interactions for Waves 4–6 are still in development. One notable addition is in The Cave of Wrath, where you can now interact with the Skull of Wrath. Activating it will summon additional, stronger enemies not normally found in the Hell stages. It’s up to you to decide: take the risk for more action, or play it safe? More maps, interactive elements, environmental traps, and boss monsters at the end of each Wave 7 are planned for future updates.
