Patchy Fixy
Enhancements PatchSo, there were some other things that needing fixing and polising. Even found a soft lock that needed fixing! Here are the things fixed and improved upon:BIG ONE: Soft lock fixed when pressing continue. It was using the wrong info to reload the level, making it impossible to keep the grapple gun.The sleeping croc no longer respawns in the stone bridge area. Only once per level play. The crocs on the bridge can no longer run all the way to the second hook bridge. Created too much frustrationAdjusted SFX for special item pickups (non special items like ropes and keys have the same sound as before)Players were loading in with the catch and throw gloves due to an error. Those have to be unlocked! (possible in demo)Included a section in the level that sets up a learning moment. It shows that sliding blocks can vanquish enemies.People complained about the moving and stopping when lining up throws or the grapple, so I improved that. Now it takes a split second when pressing a direction initially for the character to move. You can tap a direction and he'll face that way without moving as much. He also stops much faster now.Recap for other recent fixesAs seen in the gif, it's more apparent now that you must be standing on the grapple hook bridge start section, for the end section to be enabled and work. You can unlock the running boots much earlier now (Yes, you can unlock running in this game, but nobody seems to have been able to figure it out).Add a cannon ball earlier in the level and other markers to clarify a small puzzle gate (cough, cough, running boots, cough)Hope you enjoy the extra polish!DavidRead full article on Community Announcements (gentlygiantllc)Patch NotesOfficial
Lil Polish Update!
Demo and Main Build UpdatesHello everyone, after seeing some people play the game a bit, I've managed to polish a few things to better fit what players expect. Some of the updates.Added a cannon ball earlier in the game (making the running boots unlockable much earlier - No more walking around for much too long).Added a cannon ball to the cannon ball lock/gate, to make it more apparent.Fixed some problems with enemy stun stage animations (when hit by grapple).Fixed the hitbox for the small frog, making it easier to hit with the grapple.Updated the grapple rope bridge to make it more apparent in how to use it. Now, when you step into range, the target grapple lifts up, signaling it can only be grappled from the beginning hook point. Nice little juice! The gif is showing the target hook in action. The update that will make the biggest impact in my opinion is the cannon ball being accessible earlier. Can't wait to see new game play footage!DavidRead full article on Community Announcements (gentlygiantllc)
