About this game

Twinkleby is a laid-back decoration game set in a nostalgic, cozy universe with an absurdist twist; you progress through an archipelago of floating islands, build neighbourhood dioramas, and throw whatever items and creatures you don’t want over the island’s edge. Twinkleby is a universe where the mood changes on a whim, where you create elaborate environments by controlling the soundtrack, scenery and lighting, and build dreamscapes that range from eerie and gothic to adorable and romantic.

In Twinkleby, the world is your inventory. Throw anything you don’t want off the side of the island, and it will be returned to your collections. Rebuild, redesign, and unlock the full range of customisation for scenery and items, including colours, backdrops, weathers and seasons. As you customise the scenery you change the soundtrack, and gradually gain full control over the ambience of your dreamscapes.

Your islands and decoration choices will attract a variety of whimsy new residents, who all have traits that affect how they interact with the environment and each other. Some of these neighbours are rare sights in the archipelago, and only the most dedicated player will collect them all. Like everything else in Twinkleby, any neighbour can be evicted at any time – just throw their luggage off the side of the island, and they’ll take the hint.

It might be a good idea to not be too hasty with the evictions though, because every neighbour carries gifts in their bag, and should you make them happy, they will reward you in return.

✦ Progress along Twinkleby’s star chart to unlock new islands to make your own, and gather map fragments to discover hidden islands along the way.

✦ Grow your item collection to decorate your islands, and return items to your inventory by throwing them off the island’s edge.

✦ Furnish your houses to attract and collect new neighbours (common and rare), and should you grow tired of their company – evict them at a moment’s notice!

✦ Make your neighbours happy, and they’ll reward you handsomely with a variety of items, including paintings, keys, and even houses!

✦ Compose the soundtrack of your dioramas using the weathers, seasons and backdrops, and create unique audio-visual dreamscapes for each new island.

✦ Collect the shooting stars known as Stellars and spend them in Molligan’s Antiques on whatever catches your eye! Generate more Stellars by making your neighbours happy, and find new, secret ways to make the stars fall.

✦ You’re not the only one throwing things into space in the Twinkleby archipelago; catch chests that fall past your islands, and loot them to expand your collections.

✦ When you have delved deep into space, you will be able to play on parallel islands – new clean-slate versions of the islands you've found. Keep exploring new, creative ways to decorate with all the stuff you've gathered!

✦Capture your magnificent creations and adorable moments in the photo mode.

    Anniversary 2.0 update

2.0: One year of Twinkleby 🎉✨🥳Celebrating a whole year of cozy diorama decorating with our biggest update yet!TrailerPatch notes What's new?Our biggest update yet is bringing much requested features, even more items, and even more Neighbours for you to collect!Introducing Cornell, The Travelling SalesmouseCornell, the Traveling Salesmouse, has been off exploring the stars, collecting curiosities from around the constellation. You can now find him on an island near you! Giving you a new way to obtain items, right from the comfort of your star-chipelago.Eleven new item setsWe've added items before, but never like this! Eleven new item sets will be hitting the shelves of Cornell's sale-boat: - Birdwatching Set - Outlook Motif Set - Garden Set Ⅱ - Cabinet Set - Shelf Set - Forest Set Ⅱ - Full Breakfast Set - Crystal Set - Salon Set - Stone Set Ⅱ - Plank SetSeasonal items... all year roundPreviously, seasonal items were only available during the timeframe of the in-game event. This posed a problem to anyone looking for that sweet 100% trophy or those who ended up one cherry blossom tree short of their perfect winter orchard. We heard you and Cornell will also shelve seasonal items. Though you are guaranteed the availability of these items during the in-game event, as before, you can now rest assured that your plans for year-round Hallowtide, or Midsummer-in-December, are much more easily achievable.Three new common charactersWe couldn't help but add a few new friendly faces to the world of Twinkleby. We tried not to. We thought to ourselves: "no, this update is too wonderful, too cute. If it gets any cuter, our community may suffer from some sort of adorable-ness overload!"But then we saw Mr. Beaufort's adorable tiny glasses but tall hat; Basil's cozy introversion; Madame Eleanor's little matching hat and bow, and we knew we had to share them with you.Why stop there? One request we've seen over the years is to remove the item cap of 99 of any one item. Quite how you folks...

The (super small) summer vacation update

A sunny hello to you, Neighbours ☀️ We hope you’re all having a fun summer; whether you’re exploring the stars or enjoying the sun! We’ve prepared The Super Small Summer Vacation Update just as a little something to celebrate the season of chill and cozy relaxing. Something fun to bid you over on the rainy summer nights and the too-hot-to-do-anything-else days! The update introduces three new Neighbours who’ll be visiting your islands. They all decided to book their summer vacation to the Twinkleby Starchipelago and were so taken by your beautiful islands that they decided to stay! MARGARETMargaret is your typical indoor cat. You can usually find her slinking around the house, sceptically staring at the outside world. UNCLE GODWINUncle Godwin is the complete opposite of Margaret, he loves the outdoors! Contrary to what his outdoorsy spirit might suggest, he's the least spry person you’ll find in Twinkleby. If he visits your islands, be sure you’ve got plenty of room for him to lounge around in nature.AMBROSEAmbrose will be sure to feel at home wherever the shelves are filled with books. His favourite read: Wuthering Heights - the french version. All of the new Neighbours have one thing in common: they’re exceptionally lazy. So don’t expect them to move mountains anytime soon. We hope you’re all having a great summer and have fun enticing these friendly faces to your islands 😎/ Might and Delight
