About this game
Sami is a 2D platformer fantasy adventure that combines narrative storytelling, meditative puzzles, and exploration to create an immersive experience centered on emotional well-being and mindfulness. Players will embark on a journey alongside Sunu, as he navigates different worlds, each rich with its own challenges and symbolism.
Sami is not just about overcoming obstacles—it's about reflection, transformation, and self-discovery.
Play as Sunu, an ancestral oniric being in search of spiritual evolution. He travels through surreal environments where light and shadow constantly vie for dominance, reflecting his internal struggles.
The narrative is designed to provoke deep thoughts and personal reflection, encouraging players to question their own emotions and inner conflicts.
Throughout his journey, Sunu must aid lost souls, guiding them back to the right path while also grappling with his own doubts and fears. You get to use a set of special abilities, like the Ohm, to collect yout inner peace to transform everything around you.
The game levels are inspired by the different phases of mental health, divided in 6 magical worlds with unique visual aesthetics. Explore each level while transforming misguided souls, invoke guardians powers and boosters, and solve meditative puzzles.
The lost souls called “shadows” talk to Sunu when they are healed by his Ohm. These messages are positive reflections on love, the universe and tips to overcome depression and anxiety and come from real people that suffered and overcame these issues, in an online process where every player could read them.

Sami Playtest: play the first stretch of the journey In mid October we are opening Sami's first playtest, and we want you in it. What you will play \ 23] You'll join Sunu as he begins his journey: having already gone through the initial encounters and on his way to meet the Guardian Spirits. About 80 minutes of gameplay. You will also see the part that matters most to us in action: real messages from real people appearing above the souls you purify. How to get in Hit Request Access on this Steam page. Access is granted at random among everyone who signs up, so the earlier you join, the better. You are free to record and stream anything you play. We would love to watch. What we want to learn from you Whether the controls feel right: the jump, the dash, the Ohm. Whether you know what to do without anyone explaining it. Which moment made you feel something, and which one pulled you out. Anything broken. Especially the broken things. When you finish we will ask for a few minutes to fill a short form. That form is literally how the final polish of the game gets decided. We are a small team in Lima who have been at this for four years. Your words can live inside Sami In Sami you do not defeat lost souls. You heal them. Every time Sunu purifies a shadow, that soul releases a few last words before joining him. We do not write those words. Real people do, from anywhere in the world. More than 400 messages are already inside the game. When Sami launches in 2027, any player might meet yours in the middle of their journey, exactly when they need it most.
