September Update
Hello, hoomans! The past few months have been chaotic, and we haven’t had a chance to slow down and carefully look into new improvements for A Planet Full of Cats until now. When we released Update 2.0 a few months ago, we believed that the game was always indicating where to go next whenever you accessed the map. After receiving many negative reviews about the game not showing where to go next, we watched several gameplay videos and found a number of situations we hadn’t anticipated where the game failed to provide any indication. We’ve added new markers to cover these cases, and we believe the map should now always show where to go next. If you find a case like this, please leave a comment explaining where it happened. Thank you once again for your patience. Love and purrs, The Devcats ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅRead full article on Community Announcements (Devcats)AnnouncementsOfficial
A Planet Full of Cats 2.0
Hello, hoomans! After the initial feedback following the launch, we realized just how cryptic some of the game’s navigation had become. We focused so heavily on the variety of environments, quests, and overall progression that we ended up overlooking how difficult the bosses were, and the game lacked clear progression guidance for players who were not carefully reading every dialog or taking notes themselves. Since launch, we have made countless improvements: adding map markers, visual hints, fast travel, new dialogue, adjusting the boss battles, and now fully integrating a complete quest tracking system. You can read all the changes we did since launch here. From now on, whenever players are unsure about what to do next, they can simply access the quest icon or open the map to see exactly where they need to go to continue progressing. For anyone starting playing the game now, the experience will no longer be frustrating in terms of figuring out what to do next. We would like to thank everyone once again for your patience, especially the players who stayed active on our Discord and Steam forums helping others who were lost. We can assure you that this is a mistake we will not make again. To those who felt frustrated, as most of the negative reviews were along the lines of “I love the series, but this game is frustrating”, we would like to invite everyone to try this definitive version of the game. As many of you know, we always try to make each game in the Full of Cats series feel unique, and integrating metroidvania elements is something we absolutely intend to revisit in the future. We currently have four Full of Cats titles in development, and one of them is another metroidvania. Next year you will see just how much we learned from this release. Quality of Life Update
Hello, hoomans! ːcathspawː One of the main pieces of feedback we received was that backtracking felt too time consuming, and having to repeatedly retrace your steps between rooms became tedious. To address this, we’ve added a quick-travel capsule to the game, available at key locations across the planet. We believe this update will make quests flow much more smoothly. ːwinkycatː Over the past week, we’ve also introduced a number of quality-of-life improvements (you can read about all of them here). In our latest patches, we’ve added this new quick-travel feature, improved the unlocked door system, introduced new map icons, enhanced performance, and revised some dialogue that was appearing outside of the dialogue box in some languages. We believe the game feels much smoother now, and we hope you enjoy these changes. ːfofino2ː But that’s not all. We also feel the game would benefit from a quest tracking system, making it easy to check at any time what has been completed, what still needs to be done, and where to go next. This wasn’t part of the game’s original structure, so it will take some time to implement, but we’ve already started working on it. Thank you again for your patience. ːfofinoː Love and purrs, The Devcats ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅRead full article on Community Announcements (Arntor)Patch NotesOfficial

If they don’t show up, try launching the game to force recognition. We’re also adding a “How to Play” section to the main menu for those who aren’t familiar with our games. It’s currently being localized into all supported languages and will be available tomorrow. New dialogue for locked doors and future-use items is also high on our priority list. We’re pretty exhausted, so it’s time for our nap. See you tomorrow.
