I've played around with some other assets I purchased (a few), and only one seems to be better. I've replaced the grass that was in the main menu scene with this new asset for now, and eventually will replace the old grass across Chapter 3 and update the demo again. Demo Patch 1f hotfixes and mini-boss update pass
Hey everyone, based on player feedback and other tests I've been working on balancing the spider mini boss, and this is a first pass in making the encounter more fair, and manageable. It's a mixed update, here's the notes: - Removed a debug GUI label showing session playtime- Fix flipped grab point for the journal before the spider boss- Fix new sticky bomb grab pose- Fixed a bug related to a local UI pool in the onboarding room- Spider Boss now loses aggro when the player dies- Added a wander state after the Spider Boss loses aggro- Reduced Spider Boss HP slightly- Added a dust VFX when the Spider Boss lands after its jump attack- Increased the delay between boss jumps in Phase 2- Spider Boss minions now lose aggro faster than regular enemies- Players can now break Spider Eggs during the boss encounter, but doing so causes them to spawn prematurely- Other minor fixes and optimizations(A note regarding the boss encounter - contains spoilers) For those that have tried, since the encounter happens in two phases, and the second phase spawns minions, players can pop the spider eggs in order to manage the encounter in a more tactical manner, before entering the second phase where the minions spawn automatically.Until next time, thanks again for playing and providing feedback. - MarcoRead full article on Community Announcements (Marco Giardina Dev)Patch NotesOfficial
