Delve into Recurrence, where puzzles and peril intertwine in a cyberpunk nightmare. Solve mysteries and fend off grotesque creatures as you fight to break free from the endless loop.

About this game

Recurrence is a classic survival horror game set in a cyberpunk world caught in a time loop, where time, humanity and technology converge in a spiral of mystery and terror.

Discover the truth behind the loop.

In a future corrupted by a strange signal, you will step into the shoes of Vera, a researcher who awakens in the body of a replicant. Explore a strange world that has succumbed to the influence of a cosmic horror. Solve puzzles, confront mechanical horrors and unravel the origins of the signal that started it all.

The loop changes everything.

Each repetition offers new opportunities to explore, learn and survive. As time marches on and the world crumbles, you'll discover clues that only exist at specific times and events that unfold in unexpected ways.

A classic horror adventure.

Recurrence combine classic mechanics with a modern take. With fixed cameras, brain-teasing puzzles and retro-style graphics, you'll experience a nostalgic and revamped horror experience.

Prepare to face your deepest fears on a journey where time is not your ally and every cycle could be your last. Can you break the loop?

Recurrence Update – Tank Controls, Map Improvements & More

Hello everyone!A few days ago, we shared some of the changes we wanted to work on following the launch of Recurrence. The first batch of those improvements is now available! Here’s everything included in this update:Map improvements. You can now draw directly on each map to help you navigate, mark points of interest, or plan your route. You can also place predefined markers if you want to quickly mark something important. All drawings and markers are saved automatically.Tank controls. Optional tank controls are now available! You can enable them from the Controls section in the settings menu. You can also adjust the rotation speed to your liking.Storage box improvements. We’ve improved the visual feedback when storing, moving, and retrieving items from the storage box. You can now also split item stacks, so you can choose exactly how many items you want to take with you or leave behind. No more having to move the entire stack at once!End of the loop. We’ve added some visual feedback to make it clearer when the current cycle is running out of time. We’ve also improved the visual feedback when sleeping in the chair to better communicate the passage of time.Camera improvements. The third-person camera is now more stable and will no longer collide with certain elements of the environment. We’ve also added a new effect that makes objects blocking the camera automatically become transparent, improving visibility during exploration and combat.Input icons. We’ve added specific input icons for PlayStation and Steam Deck, and also updated the Xbox icons.General gameplay adjustments. You’ll now deal slightly more damage to the final boss. Once you’ve reached the boss for the first time, you’ll no longer need to re-enter the door codes, and the portal will already be active, making subsequent attempts less tedious. We’ve also adjusted the elevator camera so that it now focuses on the elevator screen when you enter.Bug fixes. We’ve fixed several texts that were not properly local...

    Next steps

Hello everyone! It’s been a few days since the launch of Recurrence, and before we talk about what’s coming next, we want to thank you all for the incredible support we’ve received. We really appreciate all your feedback. It’s helping us a lot to identify what we can improve and, most importantly, decide what our next steps should be.So, we’d like to share some of the things we’ll be working on:Map improvements. We’re going to implement a system that allows you to draw directly on each map. We believe this will help you navigate the world on your own, mark things you find interesting, and even plan what you want to accomplish during your current loop, without breaking the philosophy we’ve always wanted to maintain with Recurrence.Adjustments to the beginning of the game. As some of you have pointed out, the first enemy encounter can feel a little abrupt. We want to rework this section to build up the tension before the encounter and give it a little more context, ending with a short cutscene that introduces this first threat in a more natural way.Tank controls. We’ll be adding classic tank controls as an optional control scheme. Of course, you’ll still be able to use the current controls if you prefer.Illustrated sequences. We want to add new scenes using 2D illustrations, both at the beginning of the game and for its different endings. We think this is an important addition that will help provide more context and strengthen the story at both the beginning and the end of the experience.Splitting item stacks. We’re going to add the ability to split item stacks in the storage box, so you can decide exactly how many items you want to take with you and how many you want to leave behind. A small change that will give you more control when organizing and managing your resources.Third-person camera control improvements. We’re going to review the behavior and controls of the camera during third-person sections to make them feel more natural and comfortable.Better feedback whe...
