About this game
In this fast-paced adventure / action game you steer and navigate your way through many different types of Mines each with a different mode!
Equip your Goblins with Swag from their Rucksacks so they can enter the Mine with Style whether they come back or not!
Discover Stories to read about the Mines and the history and events that have happened there through finding pages about the Goblorepedia!
Enter special challenge Mines to obtain Steam Achievements however there is nothing easy about these Mines!
➊ 90 Levels through 3 different Mines!
➋ Different Modes in all the Mines!
➌ Multitude of Pickaxes to equip your Goblins with!
➍Lots of Safety Helmets for your Goblins to wear in the Mine!
➎Unlock entries & read the Goblorepedia a book of stories about the Goblins and the Mines!
➏Finish special Mine challenges for Steam achievments!
Right now They Yearn For The Mines can easily be picked up by anyone and I don't plan on making it complicated so every person no matter who it is will always have fun!
Even if you don't get much time to play They Yearn For The Mines you will always be able to eventually get all of the Mine levels and Goblorepedia Entries unlocked without having to grind the game like no tomorrow!
For those that want a harder challenge however and enjoy the game will be able to do the "Special Challenge Mineshafts" of Mines leading to Steam Achievments but warning some of these will be rough and fury inducing!
The Goblins will always have a Future!

To each and every one of you that has a go at They Yearn For The Mines thank you and I hope there is some good feedback, I appreciate you all this is my first ever Steam release of a game and is exciting but also scary just knowing how games can be recieved.
As an indie dev and a new one I know I cant have the most polished and beautiful work of art but lets hope in the future and with you guys help They Yearn For The Mines can turn into an amazing fun game with countless things to do while you spend your time in it I will definetly be actively updating for the foreseeable future!

On Hiatus For Now
They Yearn For The Mines was made in UE5 as my first commercial project swapping over to that engine from Unity but because of that it put together super super jankily as I didnt know better, I plan to rewrite and fix it all later this year so that i can do alot more alot better and cleaner, there is quite a large amount of things I want to do with it but the project is essentially held together with Duct Tape.You will not have to buy They Yearn For The Mines again I will just upload over this version when its done I appreciate everyone who has played and I hope to see some of you later in the year back playing the new version.\I hope everyone is having a terrific year!TheQuokkaBlokeRead full article on Community Announcements (TheQuokkaBloke TTV)AnnouncementsOfficial
FLOODHOLLOW HAS RELEASED!
I have just released Floodhollow Mine adding 30 Levels & 1 New Pickaxe (I will add 2 new Pickaxes and 2 new Safety helmets to it within the month) also im keeping it off the highscores for now as I am going to rearrange how the highscores page is shown so i can fit more mines in there! There will be no work done on They Yearn For The Mines apart from the 2 New Pickaxes and Safety Helmet releases for the next month as im doing a Month Long Game Jam, So I really hope Floodhollow can keep you occupied! I Changed Shimmerglow Mine Menu to a cleaner look so I can add additional stuff tell me what you think? Sorry that we havent had too many updates ontop of being busy I took a tiny holiday but am cooking up some big things such as a new Trailer fully voiced and 10x funnier. Completely Revamped Leaderboard Levels
Leaderboard Levels have been Revamped to be more exciting instead of getting 1 point per minute played it now has a collect ore mechanic, I hope this makes the levels more exciting! I have had to reset the leaderboards due to this change and being able to get stuck on the side and ramp up your score so you had a false score i apologise. Thankyou for bringing this up to me though coulda had fudged scores everywhere and it also made me strive to make it funner!
