About this game
"Home Wars: Battlefield" is the long-awaited spin-off of the "Home Wars" video game.
In this title, the player will experience the Home Wars universe exclusively from a first/third-person perspective, temporarily abandoning the strategic aspect of its predecessor.
What is "Home Wars: Battlefield"?
It is a highly cooperative PvE multiplayer shooter in first/third person.
Here, strategy has given way to tactics and the courage of individual soldiers!
What are the factions of "Home Wars: Battlefield"?
There are 3 factions: Army, Insects and Dinosaurs.
The first two were also in the first title, while Dinosaurs are the new faction.
Why dinosaurs? We all had at least one small plastic dinosaur in our childhood ... and on top of that, dinosaurs are always super cool!
What characterizes "Home Wars: Battlefield"?
Finally, as you requested, in Home Wars, the player will be able to play as both soldiers and insects, and in this case, also dinosaurs.
Another thing that you have loudly requested is the possibility of playing with your friends.
Competitive multiplayer video games are great, but in my opinion cooperative games are a cut above, both in terms of fun and social function.
Have fun fortifying a point of interest with a friend and defending it with your allied bots.
An unlock tree will allow you to unlock better equipment gradually using the resources earned in battle.
No microtransactions! No shortcuts! Here, to advance, you have to play!
What differentiates the 3 factions? What type of gameplay will they have?
They will have 3 profoundly different gameplays.
The Army will have the most destructive and versatile weapons but also the most expensive, so you will likely find yourself in physical and numerical inferiority. You can call on the battlefield a wide variety of vehicles, including static defenses, light vehicles, tanks, artillery, planes, helicopters, ships, submarines, and mechs!
The insects will be the most agile and fastest faction and the only ones that can use poison. Some units of this faction are perfect for quickly attacking the enemy, perhaps from the blind side, while other units, larger and more armored, allow for a more direct and terrifying engagement.
The Dinosaurs are the heaviest faction in the game. Many are giants designed directly by Mother Nature, who made them walking death machines. Here, you will see giants of flesh that are difficult to take down and speedy creatures perfect for attacking the enemy from the flanks.
Main features of "Home Wars: Battlefield":
Hundreds of bots on the screen, both allies and enemies!
Play as your beloved toy soldiers again in first-person or third-person.
Fight alone or with your friends or strangers around the Earth who share your cause.
Fight as a toy soldier, a bug, or a dinosaur.
Each faction can fight against every other faction (so yes, even Army vs Army!).
Highly cooperative PvE with innovative mechanics that favor even more team play.
Dozens of vehicles can be called on the battlefield: static defenses, transport vehicles, light vehicles, tanks, behemoths, mechs, artillery, transport helicopters, attack helicopters, fighters, bombers, torpedo bombers, gunboats, speedboats, destroyers, cruisers, battleships, strategic submarines, hunter-killer submarines and more.
Fortify the points you want and how you want, using various static defenses.
Field and home battlefields.
In battle, you earn resources that can then be used to improve your equipment.
No microtransactions, finally!
Units are divided into classes! (still to be defined).
Old school fun, baby! (watch the last screenshot to understand me ;))
A cooperative PvE developed by a player who loves playing cooperative PvE and who does not have to answer to any investors except his players! Incredible! It's Sci-fi!
The game is still developing, so come forward with ideas in the Community Hub!
There are no stupid ideas or out-of-place proposals for Insane Dreamers, so don't hesitate to brainstorm with me!
I have been reading every comment and review of my games for years, so rest assured that you will not go unnoticed.
Add "Home Wars: Battlefield" to your wishlist and follow the game's progress in development. I was hoping you could share your opinion with me, and let's create the most cooperative PvE ever!
Also, always remember:

MEET the T-90 "Siberian Tiger"!
Hello, brothers in arms!Today I’m bringing you a real metal tiger straight from cold Siberia: here is the T-90 "Siberian Tiger"!This tank—an MBT (Main Battle Tank), to be precise—is a vehicle inspired by the Russian T-90.You might notice that this tank features weaponry not found on its real-life counterpart. Why is that? The main reason is co-op play!Main Battle Tanks are true beasts of war, perfect for capturing key strategic points or acting as defensive strongholds. However, in actual gameplay, that immense firepower wasn't being fully utilized—and, more importantly, it was all controlled by a single player. Sure, a second player could technically use the machine gun, but a standard 7.62mm or 12.7mm gun hardly does justice to a behemoth of this caliber. That’s why all the modern MBTs in the game will be equipped with extra weapons, ensuring the second crew member has just as much fun as the first!I’ll gradually show you all the different modern MBTs, and you’ll see just how cool they are compared to the base models! In this case, the T-90 will mount a 120mm cannon, a 12.7mm coaxial machine gun, and two medium-caliber rocket pods. These pods could carry the same type of warhead (High Explosive) or two different types—High Explosive for the first, and... well, you tell me what the second should be!The second crew member will also have access to a 12.7mm machine gun and two small rocket pods; it might make sense to dedicate one pod to explosive rockets and the other to armor-piercing ones—what do you think?Whenever I add new content, I always aim to maximize the benefits for the co-op experience. If you have any questions or suggestions, please leave a comment below; I always love seeing you engage with the development of this project.I also encourage you to spread the word about "Home Wars: Battlefield" to your friends so we can build a great community right from the launch.HWB might not be the greatest co-op PvE game in history, but I’m sure we’ll have a blast togethe...Read full article on Community Announcements (Insane Dreamers)AnnouncementsOfficial
MEET the "Bulldog"!
Hello, brothers in arms!Today I'm showing you a type of vehicle rarely seen in video games, probably because it's a hybrid between a powerful artillery piece and a nimble infantry mortar.Meet the "Bulldog"!This vehicle was originally a troop transport, but was later modified to carry and deploy a large 120mm mortar. As you can see, the Bulldog must absolutely not get close to the front, or it would be massacred, as it has no short-range defense weapons. The goal of this big guy is to hit the enemy from medium range, one shot after another, until its own rounds (or its enemies) are exhausted.Being a cross between heavy and light artillery, the Bulldog has advantages and disadvantages, like any vehicle. It doesn't have the range or firepower of heavy artillery, BUT its rounds spend less time in the air, so they're less affected by enemy movement. It also has tracks, so it can move to increasingly more suitable firing positions, as well as escape from the enemy... if the enemy isn't particularly fast.On the other hand, it's not as cheap and portable as an 81mm infantry mortar, BUT its 120mm rounds are much more powerful, it can carry different types of warheads, and, finally, this vehicle has light armor, which soldiers don't have. What warheads could this vehicle's weapon have?Definitely explosive ones, perhaps even nerve gas ones, but I'm waiting for your suggestions before giving a final assessment.Another advantage I haven't told you is that the Bulldog is an amphibious vehicle! What does that mean?It means that, like all other units, it can cross water, but, unlike them, it can fire its weapon while doing so, and its cruising speed will be higher than if it weren't an amphibious vehicle.Surely some of you might be thinking, "Wow, I can bomb enemies from the sea, making me practically unstoppable!"... umm... no.Non-amphibious land enemies won't be able to attack you, but you'll be easy prey for flying, aquatic, and especially underwater enemies. In this game, enemies wil...Read full article on Community Announcements (Insane Dreamers)AnnouncementsOfficial
MEET the "Stegosaurus"!
Hello, soldiers!I'm animating the dinosaurs that will be featured in the game demo, and I thought I'd show you the beast I have in my hands right now: the "Stegosaurus"!I imagine you all know it; it's one of the most famous dinosaurs, and perhaps one of the dumbest, considering it had the lowest brain-to-body mass ratio of any reptile at the time. The Stegosaurus will be one of the tanks in the dinosaur faction. It will have plenty of health, good armor, decent speed, and a real desire to hurt you!The attack animations I'm developing are:- the tail swipe to defend itself from the rear.- the tail swipe that attacks enemies from the front, taking advantage of the animal's rotation.- a kind of earthquake produced by standing on two legs and then landing violently.- the head-down frontal charge.- An imaginative yet fun ranged attack: the reptile leans forward and uses its tail like a catapult to launch one or more bony plates.Let me know if you like this one or if it's too much.IMPORTANT: I'm considering increasing the size of the dinosaurs because otherwise they would appear medium-sized compared to the average insect. For example, the Stegosaurus measured 4 meters, but in the game I'm going to make it 6-8 meters, making it a truly tank worthy of its ancient name. What do you think?Suggest what abilities and attacks you would add.As you've probably figured out by now, you can either fight this great beast or use it firsthand to wipe out your enemies, be they toy soldiers, insects, or other dinosaurs!THE ONLY GOOD DINO IS A DEAD DINO!Read full article on Community Announcements (Insane Dreamers)AnnouncementsOfficial
Two-seater aircraft
Hello, brothers!Today, a quick post to clarify the introduction of a feature that came from my imagination and wasn't a copied idea.I love the "Top Gun" series; it's my favorite movie.Years ago, "Battlefield" was my favorite game too. Unfortunately, lately it's become too frenetic, and I think it has lost its tactical component. As you know, Battlefield 6 is about to release a Top Gun update, which makes me very happy. They're finally introducing a co-pilot on some planes, which is a really cool thing and something they've been waiting for years.I'm writing this post specifically to let you know that this feature about two-seater aircraft is already implemented in HWB; it's already working, so it won't be a feature copied from BF6.I know it might not make a difference to you, but since the only asset of indie games is originality, I want to highlight the most innovative ideas I include in my games.Sure, two-seater planes might not be a new idea, but it's still very, very rare. While we're at it, I'll throw in a few weapons the co-pilot will be able to use in HWB upon release:- 7.62 mm machine gun- 12.7 mm machine gun- 20 mm autocannon- 30 mm autocannon- 40 mm grenade launcher- anti-aircraft missiles- anti-tank missiles- rockets- guided bombs (various warheads and guidance systems)Two-crew planes will be a real step ahead of single-crew planes in terms of firepower, but they will suffer a penalty in agility due to their greater weight. As I've said before, I really care about the cooperative aspect of the game! For me, seeing people cooperate to achieve something is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Therefore, I'll try to include as many features as possible that give those who cooperate an advantage.I might write a post dedicated to this later. As always, if you have any features you'd like to suggest, whether original or otherwise, feel free to suggest them. Maybe one of your ideas will be the one that will make this game a success in the future! At the next "...Read full article on Community Announcements (Insane Dreamers)AnnouncementsOfficial
Gameplay imbalance in naval warfare
Guys, as you may have read in the title, I have a gameplay problem in naval warfare.Let's see if we can solve it together.First of all, the most important faction in the game, obviously, is the toy soldiers, so it serves as a sort of reference for the roles of the other two. Here comes the problem: human warfare needs are not reflected in the biology of this planet... let me explain. What's the problem? Most of the military units of our armed forces, namely navies, move on the surface of the water, namely boats and ships of various kinds. There are also some units that operate under the surface of the water, such as submarines, but they are far fewer. In biology, the vast majority of present and ancient life forms move underwater, not above the surface. So here comes the problem: who are the toy soldiers' ships fighting against if almost all the enemies are underwater?Of course, you can stage huge naval battles if you pit toy soldiers against toy soldiers or have insects fight dinosaurs. However, when a naval battle between toy soldiers and insects/dinosaurs unfolds, the toy soldiers find that almost all enemy targets are underwater, so torpedoes, harpoons, and depth charges are fine, but are cannons, heavy machine guns, and anti-ship missiles useless?I'm making "biological modifications" to achieve satisfying gameplay, but this compromises the pseudo-realism.For example, I'm thinking of making both jellyfish and crabs swim so that about half of their bodies are exposed above the water. Also, as I mentioned in a previous post, I'm arming certain ships with turrets under the hull, equipped with harpoons, because otherwise even the most imposing battleship would be cannon fodder against a mere shrimp.Another system could create a range, for example, from the surface of the water to 5 meters below, which counts as a surface, meaning weapons like cannons, machine guns, and missiles can hit targets submerged a few meters below.Consequently, the barrier for bullets and bombs won'...Read full article on Community Announcements (Insane Dreamers)
