Join forces or play solo in Scrubbin' Trubble, Odd Object's 2026 strategy game. Navigate treacherous levels, using teamwork to defeat Nasties and the Four Filths of the Apocalypse.

About this game

Hold on to your bubbles! Scrubbin’ Trubble is a cooperative turn-based roguelike clean em’ up where you and your buddies each play one of six unique character classes to deal with some of the nastiest grime you’ve ever seen… and this filth fights back. Sometimes to get clean, you gotta get dirty.

In The House, the cleaning and the fights never seem to end. Go it alone or team up with up to three other players to wipe out the Nasties infesting every inch. Think strategically and defeat foes to earn powerful upgrades for the whole team and their special abilities, working your way from one floor to the next. But don’t get too cocky; while running to the next stairs is always an option, if you end up fleeing too much or doing poorly, you may find yourself woefully unprepared to take on the increasingly dangerous detritus on subsequent levels, and if you hit a game over before you scrub out one of the Four Filths of the Apocalypse, you’ll need to start all over from the beginning.

Features:

  • Play solo or with up to four players in online co-op

  • Six different classes with unique skills and strengths to support the team

  • Upgrade your attacks to add new effects and powers

  • Take on pun-riddled Nasties like Mildude, Asbeastos, Refusphynx, and more

  • Wield items and equipment like "Wiper Rifle" and "Splash Bang" to clean up your foes

  • Clean your way to the top of the leaderboard with friends

  • Approachable learning curve and quick sessions whether you have a little time, or a lot!

    Scrubbin' Trubble is out NOW!

Sometimes to get clean, you have to be willing to get dirty. Grab your sponge and your fists 'cause Scrubbin' Trubble is out TODAY!Grab up to three friends and team up (or play solo!) to fight your way through levels chock full of Nasties and take down one of the Four Filths of the Apocalypse! We designed Scrubbin' Trubble to be an approachable roguelike set up for quick gameplay sessions, while still delivering on challenge. Beat, splash, and blast your way through enemies like the Dust Devil and Refusphynx, and level up your chosen cleaning agent from a scrub to a power-washer to write your name on the walls of history (in washable ink, of course)! In addition to the friends by your side, wield an arsenal of weapons, armor, and cleaning products to tackle challenge levels; rooms obscured by darkness, survival stages that continuously spawn enemies, and the gradual accumulation of deadly difficulty modifiers like “Haunted”, “Crusty”, and “Australian”, and more. It's been a long short road to get to this point, but we did the dang thing! Thanks for stickin' with us and we hope you have as much fun playing the game as we had making it!- Odd Object (Stevie + Ty)

    We're Launching March 31st!

Hey all! Thanks so much for following and wishlisting the game! We've finally got some big news: A launch date!Look forward to Scrubbin' Trubble coming to Steam on March 31st. That's this month! Tell your friends, pets, and grandchildren to wishlist it too!We originally planned to release the game in late 2025 but realized that there was still more room to grow the game into something special. So, we spent the time adding more level-up abilities, steam leaderboard support, and really just polishing the thing into a "cleaner" experience. The result is something that we think is quick to pick up but has even more depth to it. We set out to make a game in a shorter development cycle, with a smaller team, and despite the slight delay from our original intended launch date, I think we can truthfully say that we met that goal! We’ve learned a lot making Scrubbin' Trubble, but we’ve also had a lot of fun, and we hope you do as well when you check it out at the end of this month!Tyriq and Stevie, Odd Object

    July Dev Log

Hey folks! We’ve been hard at work since announcing the game, and wanted to show off some of our progress. Let’s take a peek!Note: Some material such as ability icons or skill text may be WIP or missing final assets.First up is the reveal of the final two playable character classes for the game; the Pod Person and the Detergilist! The Pod Person can spawn a clone of herself that mirrors her movements and attacks things in its path for a limited amount of turns. If you prefer to let your fists do the talking, the Detergilist may look chill, but his Crystal Crash lets him barrel through enemies for short distances, doing damage and getting out of tight spots. All of these classes also have access to a whole slew of different perks that can be selected when you level up between stages. The options you’re given are drawn from a pool of random upgrades that range from simple boosts to stats like health, to more complex abilities that will let you jump farther or equip multiple weapons at once. We’re also working on more enemies for the game, which involves a fair amount of iteration. Take a look at the Bug Bear’s sketch vs final sprite. There’s a fair amount of creepy-cute in Scrubbin’ Trubbles roster of Nasties, and we think the Bug Bear definitely leans more towards the latter. Please don’t try and hug him if you value all your limbs. We’ve also done a lot of work this month on general gameplay balancing and mechanics. We’re working on making each stage a little more dangerous by including traps that can snare you and enemies, as well as having some lasting consequences for individual runs if you let the overall grime in the house reach a certain threshold. While Scrubbin’ Trubble is designed for shorter play sessions compared to some roguelikes, we want to ensure it still has the variety and challenge players expect from the genre. We’ll go into that and more next time, but for now, thank you for your support, and don’t forget to wishlist us if you haven’t already!

    Announcing: Scrubbin' Trubble!

We here at Odd Object would like to introduce you to our first game: Scrubbin' Trubble! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45645323/644c34022915d56120d16a68fd055ee48c496dc7.png Scrubbin' Trubble is a traditional, turn-based roguelike where you and your buddies play as miniature Cleaning Agents tasked with cleaning up The House. As you traverse the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and other spaces in The House, you'll take on roaches, slimes, dust bunnies, and all kinds of other Nasties, tidying up as you go! You'll be able to play with up to 3 friends as you level up and eventually face down the Four Filths of the Apocalypse. You..."and your buddies"?! Yup, that's right! A basic characteristic of classic roguelikes is that they're completely turn-based: When you move, the world moves. Everything is synchronized in lock-step. This is straightforward for single-player games, but with ST we're trying something unique to allow multiple players to engage in the same play space simultaneously without forcing a global turn lock or limiting turns with a timer to keep the action. A shorter dev cycle Scrubbin' Trubble's lead designer, Tyriq, has most recently come up for breath from a series of games with particularly long development times; he worked on UFO 50 for six years, and Catacomb Kids is now over a decade old (and still underway!). When we started Scrubbin' Trubble, we knew we wanted to keep it smaller in scope than those games, so it's a simpler and shorter game than we're used to making, but with no less quality or passion put into it. In game development, spending less time on a project can be harder than spending an indeterminate amount of time. But this commitment is a much needed change of pace for us, and we expect it to be more sustainable in the long run. We're stoked to be able to create and share more games more quickly. Excited to share more details soon -- see you in the filth!
