About this game
Wishlist and follow Mars Clicker — every wishlist genuinely helps a solo dev get this game off the ground!
Mars Clicker is an idle clicker / incremental game: click crystal nodes until they crack, spend what they drop on automation and base building, and watch your output climb whether you're at the keyboard or not. Every prestige run — logged internally as a Cycle Reset — wipes your progress and issues Dark Matter, a permanent currency that makes every following run faster, deeper, and more "efficient." ACE calls this optimization. You're free to call it whatever helps you sleep in the crate.
Cycle Reset: your entire progress, collapsed on purpose.
Trigger a Cycle Reset and watch your entire colony collapse into the point where one cycle ends — and the next, stronger one begins. Every reset converts your progress into Dark Matter, the one currency ACE cannot reclaim, recycle, or confiscate. Nothing is truly lost. It's just compressed.
Hundreds of upgrades. Zero required breaks.
Manual clicking + idle automation: Click to break crystals with your Mining Drill. Unlock Auto Drills, Crystal Farms, Laser Drills, and Drones that keep extraction running while you're offline — full idle / AFK progression.
Depth-based progression: Every layer of Mars is denser and more profitable. Descend to unlock the Maintenance Terminal, the Reactor, the Secret Laboratory, and more.
Dark Matter prestige system: Build the Reactor, trigger a Cycle Reset, and convert your progress into Dark Matter — a permanent currency that carries across every run and unlocks upgrades available no other way.
Secret Laboratory: Spend Science Points on classified research. Permanent gains to building output, drilling efficiency, and refinery yield.
Crystal Entropy system: Every break has a chance to yield a rare crystal: Solar, Aurora, Stellar — and, once in five billion attempts, an Infinity Crystal. Upgrades can shift the odds in your favor. ACE does not guarantee they will.
Lunar Drops: Unmarked supply crates arrive from the Moon without explanation. Contents undocumented. Do not question the shipment.
Lo-fi ambient soundtrack: Approved for extended shifts. Designed to keep morale stable and output steady.
Meta-progression that stacks across runs
Your player level is permanent record. Earn Output Index (XP) with every crystal broken, level up, and unlock structures available no other way — including the Lunar Drop Facility. Push far enough and you enter Unit Classification, ACE's late-game ranking system for its most "productive" workers. Dark Matter and Laboratory upgrades survive every reset. The colony compounds its returns. So do you, whether you asked to or not.
If you ever suspect you're being exploited — check the horizon. There is no shuttle back.
"The surface is only the beginning." — ACE Transmission #1

Mars Clicker — v0.8.0: Art Shift & More
Hello explorers! 👋I've made a new version of the game after checking that the changes were stable. The biggest change is, of course, the art (which is not generated by AI). The main change is to the shaders to get that effect. As well as the artistic changes, I've also made lots of small improvements to the gameplay. Now, you can improve the Lunar Drops, and there are more statistics to check how well you are doing. ACE always keeps an eye on these things.⚠️Warning about regression⚠️If you spot any errors or unusual behaviour, I suggest using the hardcore reset or deleting your saved game and starting again from the beginning. If you make changes during the DEMO, you might lose your progress. Remember that these won't be included in the final version.A few things to bear in mind regarding the demo: The demo has no time limits, but it does have TIER (player level) limits. Once you reach TIER 5, you will no longer be able to gain EXP whilst mining, and as a result, many upgrades will remain hidden. Saved games will not carry over to the final release.NewNew Borderlands-style art materials for a fresher look. Two new permanent Lunar Drop upgrades: shorter drop interval and a bigger bonus multiplier.New refinery statistics.ChangedLunar Drops now wait until you claim the previous one before dropping againResource totals are now overflow-safe, so huge numbers keep counting and display correctlyLaboratory keeps 25% of its efficiency while you are offlineRefined essence is now handled correctly during offline progressMining drill damage rebalancedBuildings now track max level reached and amount ownedMeta game speed capped at x4Critical chance capped at 60%Terminal and laboratory now refresh automatically when you level upController input reworked for smoother, more reliable navigationModals can now be closed with a controllerCursor hides automatically when you switch to a controllerAchievements reviewed and polished across several passes, with a new lock iconRefinery panel re...Read full article on Community Announcements (Adrián Corbalán)AnnouncementsOfficial
Mars Clicker | Artistic shift
Hi! I’d been thinking for a while about making a significant change to Mars Clicker, and with this latest update I think I’ve reached the point I really wanted to be at. The entire colour palette (AKA shaders) has been modified to achieve this Borderlands-style art effect; as a fan of the series, I couldn’t be happier with the result. I hope to have a version ready soon, with improvements to the controllers and this visual update. As always, I’ll be keeping an eye on the communities to answer any questions you may have!If you want to follow the progress: 👉 Wishlist Mars Clicker on Steam and get notified when the next update lands! Thanks for still being here,Adrián Corbalán.Read full article on Community Announcements (Adrián Corbalán)AnnouncementsOfficial
Mars Clicker — v0.7.0: Controller Support & New Languages
Hello again explorers! 👋Wow! It’s been a while since the last update, and although I said I wouldn’t update until launch day, I couldn’t help but hear your comments in the community, videos, etc… The jump to version 0.7 comes following a major refactoring to handle controllers – yes, controllers in an idle/clicker game. From now on, you’ll be able to play using your controller; for the time being, only Xbox controllers and similar devices should work, but I’ll be adding more compatibility options later on.Translations into many more languages (I’ll be preparing more translations for the final release). New statistics have been added to track your performance in earning crystals; certain stats still need refining ahead of the final release. Lunar drops now retain their status between games – a known bug that should now be fixed. Mars Clicker Demo is out!
Hello everyone! 👋I’m thrilled to announce that the Mars Clicker demo is now live! 🎉🕹️ Download the free demo: At last, you can play a small section of the game. I’ve decided to limit the demo to a single prestige level, you’ll be able to play the rest of the game without restriction, but you won’t be able to progress beyond Tier 5. A few things to bear in mind regarding the demo: This is an early build, so a few bugs or glitches may crop up. Saved games will not carry over to the final release. If any serious issues are detected in the demo, I’ll upload patches to resolve them, but the content will remain the same until the day of release.I don’t think there’s anything else to add, I hope you enjoy the Martian landscape, or that they let you get on with your work efficiently. Have fun! Adrian.Read full article on Community Announcements (RealCorben)
