Happy Winter Solstice!
Happy Winter Solstice! Today marks the longest night of the year and also the first day of winter in Seasonala Cemetery -- if you play the game starting today you’ll see the cemetery in its full winter glory. Winter is one of my favourite times of year to visit cemeteries in real life. It’s the most quiet and serene time to visit, aside from the non-migratory birds like blue-jays, cardinals, and starlings who keep the cemetery from becoming too quiet (you may even hear them in the game). We hope you enjoy visiting the cemetery during this season.AwardsSome exciting news! Seasonala Cemetery has been nominated for IndieCade’s Visual Design Award and we also recently were honoured with an Indie Game Awards’ Indie Vanguard award!! We’re so very grateful to be recognized, and are honoured to be nominated / named as vanguards alongside so many of our favourite games. 1.2.1 PatchI recently put in a small patch to fix some issues with missing audio and a missing reticle. If you update the game both of those issues will be fixed!Thank youThank you to everyone who’s played the game over this past year! Since launching in June, over 60,000 people have played Seasonala Cemetery (which is approximately 59,995 more people than I expected). We appreciate every single person who’s played the game: the fact that you took time out of your day to play our little game means the absolute world. Thank you. We hope 2026 is a good year for you all. May your winters be warm (or summers be cool, if you’re playing in the southern hemisphere), and see you in the new year!-- The Seasonala Cemetery TeamSteam Winter Sale Recommendations Since Seasonala Cemetery takes place in Toronto, I wanted to recommend some of our favourite Toronto-made games that are on sale right now if you’d like to pick some up :)Read full article on Community Announcements (gabbydarienzo)Patch NotesOfficial

Achievements
Hi there! I have a small update for you all -- achievements! Originally I didn't think people would care about achievements, but quite a few of you asked for them so I decided to add some to the game. There are 7 achievements, all of which require you to visit the cemetery on certain days. I hope these will encourage you to visit the cemetery throughout the year and see how the cemetery changes with the seasons! My goal was to get these out yesterday so that you could all get the father's day achievement, but unfortunately I pushed this update pretty late in the day. However I did test these achievements with time travelling and they still work, if you'd like to change the date on your computer and play the game you'll be able to unlock yesterday's achievement. Thanks for your patience. I hope you enjoy these new achievements! Here's a hint for the hidden achievement: it's a reference to A Mortician's Tale. I worked on Seasonala with most of the same people I worked with on A Mortician's Tale and the game is very near and dear to our hearts. There's a lil easter egg in the game and you'll get an achievement if you play the game on a certain day related to it.Read full article on Community Announcements (gabbydarienzo)AnnouncementsOfficial
Seasonala Cemetery is OUT NOW
Hello! We're so excited to announce that our game Seasonala Cemetery is available now, completely free for both Windows and Mac!Seasonala Cemetery started as a small project I prototyped in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. I found a lot of solace going for walks through cemeteries (namely Mount Pleasant Cemetery and Toronto Necropolis) and it was cathartic seeing how places we often associate with death could breathe with so much life. I wanted to recreate that experience in game-form, hoping that maybe this game could help someone find solace during times of their own grief and anxiety.I worked with most of the same people I worked with on A Mortician's Tale, plus a few new additions, who all helped me bring this little game about death to life. Seasonala Cemetery is the product of all of us, and I hope you all enjoy playing it and visiting the cemetery throughout the seasons. Be sure to also check out the original soundtrack by halina heronLove from, the Seasonala Cemetery teamRead full article on Community Announcements (gabbydarienzo)
