Mach1 - Update 0.11 Released!
July 2026 update 0.11.016 adds new tracks as well as MAJOR physics and gameplay improvements!Mach1 July 2026 update 0.11.016 is finally here! (Hey, we did say it was coming in July, didn't we? ;D)Game development can be a real challenge when every member of the development team also has to work a 9-5. We wish we could develop Mach1 and deliver updates faster, but we're proud of the progress we've been making at Transmission and we hope you enjoy the new tracks that come with 0.11!This will be the last of the monthly updates for a short while as we will be focusing our efforts on putting Mach1's public demo together, hopefully in time for Steam Next Fest! Stay tuned for further announcements!!Full change log:New Tracks!Added two new tracks:Weekend Cup: Desert Highway - Deadly Curves. A dangerous figure-8 with no walls!Weekend Cup: Asteroid Mall - Loops, Jumps, and Wall Rides. A twisting track around a shopping mall built on an asteroid in outer space! Both new tracks are works in progress; course layout will be adjusted based on community feedback and visuals are still early, pending any changes to course layout! We have of course play tested the tracks and ensured they're the right balance of challenging and fun, but now it's time to open them up to more players to gather even more feedback. Be sure to let us know what you think!Major Physics Improvements!Massively improved game engine/vehicle physics:Increased game engine physics timestep and set worst-case-scenario minimum timestep to ensure cars never launch or fall through walls or floors due to frame rate. Loops and jump landings are much more solid as a result.Properly implemented vehicle soft-collisions, meaning cars now bounce off of and push each other away instead of causing each other to flip and roll. (Momentum tradeoff is WIP and is planned to be improved.)Gameplay Improvements!Updated drone racing lines on Castle City 1 and Polar Spikes.Updated checkpoint positions and data on Castle City 1 and Polar Sp...Read full article on Community Announcements (Transmission Interactive)Patch NotesOfficial
Mach1 - Update 0.9 Released!
April 2026 update 0.9.0 brings new cars, updated visuals, improved physics, and a major audio system rework! There's way too many changes to list everything, but here's all the biggest patch notes!NEW CARS!Added three new vehicles:Quasar LGM-1 (Center) - An abstract and alien racing machine built and driven by a mysterious entity from a previously-unknown alien race. It's small and sleek yet massively heavy, but it's advanced construction and technology make it a fiercely-competitive machine.Luminous Wasp Model-2 (Left) - A true oval circuit racer through and through, it's durable and fast in a straight line and it's recognizable appearance is sure to bring a hit of nostalgia from land-based racers of yesteryear.Toro Bullhorn SuperVelocity (Right) A sleek retro racing machine built for two things: racing fast and embarrassing Team Rosso at their own game using their very own machine.UPDATED VISUALS!General:Greatly improved visual quality and optimization of Mach1's unique shaders.Added comic-book style speedlines and stylized "speed-streak" motion blur for high speeds. (We promise, the motion blur actually looks really good, but we'll still add an option to disable it at a later date.)Added depth (Y-Level) fog, so the abyss below the track feels more immersive.Added unique damaged/exploded models for every car.Vehicle boost flames and trails are much more vibrant and have improved RPM-based animations.Added an arcade-style ready screen after car/track select.Updated fonts across the board to be more consistent and match Mach1's style.Atmospheric vapor around the car now distorts light at Mach speeds!Castle City I:The giant loop is now transparent, allowing drivers to see the sky above (and abyss below)!Added randomized billboards - every race, the billboards are shuffled! We've also included a billboard as part of a collaboration with Kaido Genkai: An Anime Racing RPG.Retextured the road surface to have an appearance more like a race track should.Added a distant cit...Read full article on Community Announcements (Blake Martin)
