About this game
Step into the chilling world of Whispers of the Dead, a psychological horror game that blurs the lines between love, fear, and reality. The story begins with Eve Levine, a college student caught in a nightmare after being abducted on a rainy evening in the shadowy St. Peters Park. Her fiancé, Adam Hale, a poet haunted by his own creations, must confront the darkness that emerges from his mysterious writings.
As Adam, you’ll navigate his dimly lit apartment, gathering scattered poems that weave cryptic tales of the seven deadly sins. Each verse pulls you deeper into a web of eerie phenomena, unexplained sounds, and unsettling encounters. But the true terror lies in what these poems foretell—a connection to Eve’s fate and the horrors yet to come.
The nightmare intensifies as the story shifts to Eve, who awakens in a desolate forest, surrounded by whispers and shadows. A crackling radio voice informs her she’s the prey in a deadly hunt. Armed with a single weapon, she must evade and defeat three merciless foes:
Leviathan: A silent predator who only moves when unseen, her presence a constant threat.
Belthazar: A patient killer who strikes when you linger in a firelight.
Mammon: A relentless pursuer who knows no boundaries.
Survival demands cunning and courage as Eve fights her way through the darkness, uncovering fragments of a sinister plot.
Back in Adam’s apartment, the final act begins as he awakens to an alarm blaring through the quiet. When he investigates, he’s met by a celestial figure cloaked in shadow, standing before a portal of fire.
As the series progresses, the hunters are revealed as grotesque manifestations of sin, the radio voice shifts between sinister and sympathetic, and the truth of Adam and Eve’s connection to this nightmarish world comes to light.

WOTD released over a year ago, and what a year it has been. The game was fun to make, and is currently being worked on, along with another game yet to be announced. This whole journey was a huge learning experience for me, and I plan on taking the skills (and mistakes) that I personally learned from Whispers and implement them into a new experience. Until then, I understand that some people would rather watch than play, so here is a full gameplay loop of Whispers of the Dead. Which ending did I choose? Thank you again for continued support, and we will be back soon with our next project. - Lead WOTD Developer, Michael ColvinRead full article on Community Announcements (LazyIRL)Patch NotesOfficial
