About this game
An interactive musical adventure for the whole family
Adventures of a Cat in Space is a family-friendly point & click adventure. After being accidentally launched into space, a cat is on a mission to find their way back home. Along the way you will need to solve puzzles and explore distant planets across the galaxy to unlock original music and songs to power up your navigation system and get back to Earth in this cosy adventure purrrfect for all ages.

Adventures of a Cat in Space stars Olivier award winner Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Legends of Tomorrow) who not only voices the ship's onboard computer, but also performs the game's main theme song.
A cosy creative collaboration
Adventures of a Cat in Space is a creative collaboration between narrative designers, musicians and game developers, with the sole purpose of creating a beautifully immersive, fun and rewarding experience for children and families.
Little Seeds Music
Little Seeds Music was established in 2015 with the mission to provide children and families with unforgettable, high quality musical experiences for all generations to enjoy and share together. Our work is supported and recognised by Arts Council England and we have created work in association with Half Moon Theatre, Z-arts, The Story Museum, and The Met, Bury.
As well as producing theatrical touring work, we also coordinate engagement projects across the country with a focus on providing opportunities for young people to develop songwriting and composition skills. Our 2020 digital production ‘Rolling Down The Road’ was named by the Guardian as one of the best pieces of theatre to stream that year, and their work has toured extensively across the UK to venues including Sage Gateshead, HOME, Warwick Arts Centre, Nottingham Theatre Royal, and The Marlowe.
Tall Story Games
Creators of the acclaimed adventure game Lucy Dreaming and the upcoming Heir of the Dog, Tall Story Games Ltd was founded in 2020 by husband and wife creative team Tom and Emma Hardwidge as a way to tell stories in an engaging and creative way.
With over 25 years with experience in the creative and storytelling industries, Tom is the creative driving force behind the narrative-driven adventure games we produce. Emma's career in children's television, and marketing brings specialist insights and strategic expertise to the team.

Adventures of a Cat in Space receives backing from Arts Council England!
Award-winning West Midlands indie studio Tall Story Games and family arts organisation Little Seeds Music have secured significant funding from Arts Council England to bring Adventures of a Cat in Space to full development — and to deliver a meaningful community engagement programme rooted in the heart of the Midlands.The demo for the musical point-and-click adventure has already racked up nearly 100k downloads, earned a 96% review score, been included in Apple’s Featured App showcase and received a "Most Anticipated Game" nomination at the Debug Game Awards 2026. The game will enter full production in November 2026, targeting a 2027 release on PC, mobile and consoles.Taking the Game into Innercity SchoolsAs part of a partnership with Wolverhampton Arts & Culture (WAC), the project will bring hands-on game design workshops to primary schools in the West Midlands. Pupils will collaborate to design their own level and characters for the game and take part in interactive songwriting workshops — giving children from innercity communities direct, practical experience of the creative process behind a commercially released video game.The workshops are designed to break down barriers between young people and creative cultural engagement, using an accessible, music-led format to explore storytelling, world-building and interactive design.A Public Game Station at Wolverhampton Art GalleryA dedicated public game station will be installed in the Family Gallery space within Wolverhampton Art Gallery, giving visitors free access to play Adventures of a Cat in Space as part of their visit. Demo released early!

We have since learned that some lucky people in the games industry press get exclusive access to all the games featured in Next Fest on 13th February! Our demo has now been thoroughly tested, localised into five languages, and it's ready for an early launch, so we're pressing that big green "Release" button early to make the demo accessible to all those lovely, good-looking people in the press (who are hopefully reading this), and everyone else interested in playing it.
