Death Parade: Dev Update #2
Hello again, my fellow Vampire Survivors Crawlers, It is I, Marthello, your very serious community manager.First things first. Development on the mobile version of Vampire Crawlers is going well, and it’s still planned for release in 2026. But on to Death Parade. Last time, we discussed throwing away cards on purpose. This time, we’re going to talk about the new stage and explain very little about why the patch is called Death Parade. A few spoilers ahead.Welcome to MoongolowSome of you already spotted it in the last post, so yes: Death Parade also adds Moongolow, a new challenge stage built around limited hands and discarding. On your first visit, the new Relic that caps how many cards you can hold will already be active, and Moongolow will guide you through some of what Death Parade has in store. If you complete the stage once, your future visits will play a little differently. You’ll also unlock the Relic as an optional toggle for Moongolow and every other stage.Future challenge stages will follow the same rule (and yes, there will be more). Beat the challenge and its new mechanic becomes an optional toggle everywhere. Turn it on, leave it off or use it to break the game in new ways. You’ll have access to all the new content either way.Anyway, destroying a Moon Amphora might also reward you with a Switch Gem, so, as ever, property damage is encouraged. What is the Death Parade? The Death Parade is here to make one thing clear: once you’ve beaten Red Death, there is nothing else waiting beyond it. That’s all. Enjoy the patch. We wish you and your deck the very best of luck.Speaking of Luck Death Parade also introduces three new ways for Luck to make things more inconvenient for your enemies:Bouncy gives attacks a Luck-based chance to bounce between enemies (requires at least two enemies).Crit Explosion turns critical hits into explosions. Those explosions can also crit and create more explosions.Roaring increases Area damage every time an attack spreads to another en...Read full article on Community Announcements (Vendetta)Patch NotesOfficial
Death Parade: Dev Update
Hello my fellow Vampire Survivors Crawlers, I’m Marthello, your new, very serious community manager. It’s nice to meet you all, but enough with the pleasantries. My first task is to deliver a very serious update: Death Parade is taking longer than expected. We’re sorry. Development is moving along, but rather than stay quiet until it’s finished, we thought we’d show you some of what’s on the way.Not all of it, obviously. That’s not how previews work.Discarding cards on purposeOur roadmap already mentioned that Death Parade would introduce limited hand sizes and discarding. The limit comes from a new Relic, NAME REDACTED, which caps how many cards you can hold. Simply giving you fewer cards wasn’t particularly interesting, so we’ve been adding new ways to manage exploit a smaller hand and started turning discarded cards into something you can build around. For example:Sir AmbrojoeSir Ambrojoe can Switch cards, discarding random cards from your hand and immediately drawing replacements. Whenever a card is discarded, he deals damage and adds Scavenger to a random red card still in your hand.Scavenger makes that card stronger for every card discarded during an encounter. The more you cycle your hand, the stronger your Scavenger cards become. His weapon, La Robba, combines Discard, Scavenger and Bouncy. It rains furniture onto multiple enemies, grows stronger as you discard more cards and has a Luck-based chance to bounce between targets. Other cards can activate through Afterlife when discarded. So yes, throwing away perfectly good cards is now an actual strategy. Big TroublerWhen you discard 500 cards, you unlock Big Troubler. His weapon, Unearthly Bolt, fires multiple green lightning bolts and evolves into Spirit Disturbance, a green dragon. Playing Big Troubler discards two cards and adds two Coin Purses to your hand. While Big Troubler is active, gaining gold makes a random card free for the turn, and discarding a card gets you another Coin Purse. He works well with...Read full article on Community Announcements (Vendetta)Patch NotesOfficial

Vampire Crawlers finds the perfect balance between strategy and automation, and it gives me that Survivors feeling all over again
It's impossible to talk about Vampire Crawlers without referencing Vampire Survivors, so let's get it over with. The optimal way (and I won't hear otherwise) of playing Vampire Survivors is to get so powerful that the game plays itself. I want to put the work in, so I don't have to work at all. After playing Vampire Crawlers for around 20 hours, I can tell you that it's the same thing here.
