Bug Fixes for Halloween Event
Since the first release of the demo on steam I have made some changes Added Halloween Event (for a certain period) Added Steam Achievements for the Halloween Event Had to restart the save system on a clean slate due to a bug where you can collect more gems than the limit when you rejoin a level. I hope to not do this again, even though this is a demo. (Please do understand though that in unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary to do this to prevent save files from being corrupted or unanticipated. Or I don't understand how to keep the save data on multiple builds as of now. Your steam achievements will retain itself regardless.) I will refrain from doing this to the actual full release of the game, unless it is absolutely necessary. Again, please understand that this demo is for a game in active development, so the save system is being tested and may undergo changes (for the most part I know what I am doing). By the time the game is finished, I am quite confident that I wont have any need to wipe the save files Changed the start location of 1-2, back to the start of the level, because the story cutscene is still in progress there. Changed the description of the gems on the Halloween level, and prevented the door at the end from being skippable (sorry lol) As of right now the game is in active development of course. I recently released the halloween event, and am working on finishing the second world. There are 5 worlds in total.Read full article on Community Announcements (Project Hyperlia)Community & EventsOfficial
Lab 42 Halloween Event
Hello, I wish to announce that I will be launching various events for you to play throughout the development process. These will be free to play on the demo. These events will be active for a period of time and will feature limited steam achievements you can get, while also experiencing some cool platforming gameplay. After the event period ends, I will revert the game demo back to its original state, and hide the achievements, as they won't be obtainable normally anymore. You will be able to access this "event" content in the full game alongside other worlds that are outside the scope of the demo. There are also a number of bug fixes in this update, and i'm still working on fixing other issues as well; (notably with the pause menu and crouch) Anyways I hope you enjoy! Happy Halloween season! I will keep this event active for a month or so, to compensate for a release close to Halloween. If you would like to spread the word around, that would be greatly appreciated, but again, simply playing this game and enjoying it (and maybe wishlisting if interested) is more than enough. Thank you for reading this! (Its also possible that I will have unlockable costumes that can be switched on your character based on the events you complete; but I'll have to experiment with that later) {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45256959/049959150b41c2d0d1344d565e9aeb37efea4410.pngRead full article on Community Announcements (Project Hyperlia)AnnouncementsOfficial
Why this 3D Platformer has a demo
I've read in various forums and discussions that releasing a demo is not recommended. However, considering that I have very little visibility in the first place, I would rather have a playable demo that gives SOME impression leaving SOME people interested; rather than a blank slate for a steam page that PROBABLY NOBODY will have an interest in. If you weren't interested in the demo. You PROBABLY won't be interested in the full game, which... is why I have a demo. So you don't have to buy something you regret without the chance of playing it beforehand. At least you could wait for these chances, or, move on. So in other words I have everything to gain and nothing to lose. (Expect my entire game failing on release :D) I need impressions and feedback, because without it, this game will absolutely fail on launch if I don't address it as soon as possible, early in development. Especially with my relatively void state of marketing, and the oversaturation of games in the market; impressions and wishlists are crucial. While I do believe the demo is fairly polished, the demo is not perfect and has bugs. However I would RATHER have a bad received demo, then a bad game. A bad demo can be improved or taken down. A bad GAME, can also be improved or delisted, but that has DRASTIC consequences if the game was initially received bad, and CATASTROPHIC consequences if the game becomes delisted. Anyways, while I will not be posting crucial game content outside the first world for the demo, I will be making quality of life updates to the game, which will include changes to the first world you can play right now. i also will be aiming to have my game in the next steam "next fest". If you feel inclined to give feedback, you can check out the various links outside of steam, or do it through steam in the reviews or discussion forums. I am new to this process, but I will try to read and address any feedback. If you also feel like spreading the word of this game to other people, that would g...Read full article on Community Announcements (Project Hyperlia)
