About this game
Crab Crawl is a short, single-player game that has you guiding a hungry crab from its cave into the wider Chesapeake Bay in search of morsels of food to eat. The waters are alive with hungry catfish, voracious bluegill, and mindless jellyfish who twirl around the salty currents, grabbing whatever prey bumbles their way.
Key features:
Bright, cartoony, hand-drawn art;
An expressive soundtrack to scuttle along to;
No penalty for getting caught, and overall a design appropriate for most ages and skill levels;
Surprising encounters with sea creatures, enemy crabs, and polluting fishermen.
Find all the food to complete the game, and flee a terrifying predator while saving the bay from its greatest threat!

Version 1.2
The only gameplay change is making the final boss slightly easier if the {redacted} spawns on a certain side. Some players liked the challenge, but I figure challenge isn't really what this game is about. - Fixed a UI bug when the player ignored the tutorial prompts and then never dashed in the game. (Crazy to me, but players were doing it...) - Fixed the music volume slider on the title screen - Fix a bug that kept food from being eaten when the player was dashing and stopped right on the food (now the food gets eaten as soon the player releases the dash when previously they had to move away and come back).Read full article on Community Announcements (PatientRock)Patch NotesOfficial
Update notes for version 1.1
Just a quick update with some small fixes after watching my game get played a bunch at the recent "District Arcade" hosted by the Washington, D.C. chapter of the International Game Developers Association. The mouse cursor now goes away when you're using a controller I put a timer on most of the tutorial UI elements so they'll go away after a while. Previously they wouldn't go away until the player did the thing and it's amazing how many players just... won't.Read full article on Community Announcements (PatientRock)
