Explore a world on the brink of annihilation as you guide a cult escapee in Nothing At Stake. This early access RPG from wrongwarp challenges you to build and protect a community amidst incomprehensible horrors.
About this game
Nothing At Stake is an open world action-adventure with a roguelike structure styled in the vein of classic n64 games, specifically taking inspiration from the first 3d Legend of Zelda games.

Within is an oblique dark fantasy world packed full of dungeons, ruins of a recently dead civilization, and colorful characters doing their best to survive in a seemingly hopeless world.
Help them make something of the scattered chaos that remains or set down your own path accumulating power as you scope out a land you'd been long isolated from. Whatever your path, tread carefully, as there is no coming back from death.
Story
OVER A DECADE AGO, THE DOMINANT CIVILIZATION FELL.

STRUCK BY AN OTHERWORLDLY FORCE, MANIFESTED IN THE FORM OF A 100 QUADRILLION TON CONGLOMERATION OF ROCK, METAL, AND OTHER INDETERMINATE SUBSTANCES.

A WORLD IN TATTERS, STREWN BY PILES OF RUIN AND UNDYING, UNMANAGED MACHINERY REMAINS.

FORMERLY SUBJUGATED PEOPLES SPREAD OUTWARD FROM THEIR FORMERLY PENNED-IN CORNERS, TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF THE RUBBLE AND THEIR IMPENDING DOOM.

GUIDANCE & DIRECTION A completely revamped opening, with a playable minimal tutorial which does not repeat each cycle, much better shot direction for the starting meteor, and better direction towards the opening meetingBetter sign-driven guidance to first dungeonA bit better tutorialization for first dungeon major puzzle PLAYER Movement improvements across the board! This includes higher global turn rate, jump drifting, slight slide turning, slide into wallclimb, a vault, and moreMany actions faster (door opening, land, launches from damage, etc)A much improved gamepad control schemeFree aiming throw SOUND Audible character speech grunts! Some new sounds (mostly player action related) MISC Some major map design adjustmentsSome dialogue adjustmentsBetter looking concreteMany more pause menu optionsShop stealingTHE FOLLOWING AREAS HAVE BEEN CUTouter fieldouter forestlibrarybeachbeach villagedungeon 2Regarding cut areas:We decided that not only are these areas not sufficiently ready for robust play or showcase, they distract from the core trimmed down experience we would ideally want most first time players to get in a demo- hence the concurrent effort towards making the "golden path" up to completion of the first dungeon much more accessible and tutorialized. For the overwhelming majority of players, this patch will be a vast improvement across the board.Read full article on Community Announcements (Fenner)Patch NotesOfficial
