Manage airplane movements across different airports in ATC Ground Point. Navigate planes to stands or runways safely and on time, ensuring smooth operations as a ground controller.

About this game

While air traffic controllers are known for keeping airplanes safe in the sky they also ensure airplanes move safely on the ground. Do you have what it takes to move airplanes safely and arrive on time at the stand or runway?

Airports around the world

Try controlling the ground movement of 10 different airports from around the world. The layout of each airport challenging in it's own way. Full airport list:
CYVR Vancouver
EFHK Helsinki
EGLC London City
KRSW Fort Myers
KSEA Seattle
LIRF Rome
RJBB Osaka
RKSI Seoul
YMML Melbourne
ZSSS Shanghai

And many more airports in the workshop

The community has created many different airports. See if you can find your favorite airport in the workshop. If not try out the airport builder to create it.

Point and click

The game has a simple point and click system to make it easy to get started. If things feel a bit too easy or too hard the arrival rate can be change both before and while controlling. In addition to the endless mode, there are aircraft movement and time-based game modes as well.

Text or voice Control

In addition to the point and click system it is also possible to control the airplanes via text or voice commands.

Customize the radar and more

The game allows for customization in multiple ways. From the icons of the airplanes to the time between pilot messages.

Give and take from the tower controller

Remember to handoff airplanes to tower when they get close to their assigned departure runway or are about to cross an active runway.

Changing situation

Turn on the automatic change of arrival rate to have a variation of hectic and calm times during the session.

Handle issues and towing

Sometimes things do not go according to plan. Sometimes you might need to handle airplanes that need extra time or has to return to the gate. Also, make sure to give tow clearances to push tugs that are towing airplanes from one stand to another.

Set highscores

The scoring system for arrivals is based on how much time they spend standing still on their way to the stand. Departures are scored on the difference between the actual takeoff time and the planned takeoff time (slot time). Try to be as close to the slot time as possible but do not be late.

Good luck!

Schedule Viewer and Builder fixes - Update Notes September 1st

This update to the public beta has few visible changes. However, the schedule viewer backend solution has been changed to simplify the development in the long run and also give better support for Linux via Proton. Also, the issue with stand numbers containing parentheses has been fixed so the file loads. However, it is still recommended to not have parentheses in stand numbers (a warning has been added when trying to save a file with stand numbers containing parentheses). Thanks for playing!Changelog:- Added warning if stand number contains parentheses (builder).- Changed schedule viewer backend solution.- Changed so aircraft cannot be selected while changing frequency to avoid unexpected input.- Fixed so "save view window" appears above other windows when active.- Fixed so airport files with parentheses in stand numbers load in builder but still recommended to not have parentheses in stand numbers (builder).- Fixed so schedule files are not shown as invalid airport files in main menu.

Stand selection override and bug fixes - Update Notes August 25th

This update to the public beta mainly focuses on solving bugs so this version could also be used as default version soon. However, it also adds the possibility to assign arriving aircraft to any stand even if for example the stand already is assigned to another aircraft or the stand tag of the flight does not match the stand tag of the stand. While the "set assigned stand" command is active these stands will change between red and yellow and a warning will appear when hovering over them. Thanks for playing!Changelog:- Added outline to text on layout in builder for better readability (builder).- Added warning before assigning aircraft to a stand that is not recommended (for example if another aircraft already is assigned to the stand).- Changed so aircraft can be assigned to any stand.- Changed so flight labels change from showing runway to showing stand during landing instead of after aircraft has exit the runway.- Changed so the controller is given 10 minutes of standing still time for a departure that has to return to stand.- Fixed bug that made it possible to click start button twice.- Fixed bug that made it possible to move session information window in main menu.- Fixed issue with changing color of taxiway and stand labels.- Fixed issue with custom border color on flight labels.- Fixed issue with default routes not being activated automatically for landing aircraft.- Fixed issue with hex field in color input.- Fixed issue with manual status mode.- Fixed issue with moving mouse over aircraft while setting default route.- Fixed issue with question marks in view rotation input field at session start.- Fixed issue with setting taxi path with mouse.- Fixed so loading screen text uses same anchor as menu objects.

    Hotfix August 14th

This hotfix for the public beta is mostly to fix some bugs but also includes a change so aircraft slow down when turning. Also the error messages for instructions are now more detailed. So if there are issues there is more information that can be added to bug reports.Changelog:- Changed so aircraft slow down for curves.- Fixed airplane highlight circle following aircraft instead of staying with icon (when not using instant moving icons).- Fixed bug causing tag line to appear when selecting an aircraft even if there is no tag for that aircraft.- Fixed issue with automatic handoffs and inactive runways.- Fixed issue with departing aircraft crossing the runway it is assigned to.- Fixed issue with go around not activated by aircraft on runway from rejected takeoff.- Fixed issue with taxi path from voice getting stuck processing.- Fixed issue with voice recognition of runway number without leading zero.- Fixed so the departure/arrival marking on flight labels changes color if aircraft has to return to stand (same as radar tags).

Talk circle and auto handoffs and collision override - Update Notes August 10th

This update to the public beta contains various bug fixes and three new functions.First, an instruction to ignore collisions has been added. This can be useful near stands or other areas where space might be limited. The instruction is "continue taxi, use caution" and can be activated both via voice/text and clicking. The aircraft icon will flash while it ignores collisions. The aircraft will stop ignoring collision automatically when arriving at a stand or at the end of the pushback. The aircraft will also go back to normal mode if given the "hold position" instruction. And yes, it is a bit ironic that the instruction is "use caution" and it becomes less cautious. However, it seems like a realistic instruction to give an aircraft when taxing in close proximity to other aircraft.Next, an option has been added to show a circle around the position where an aircraft started talking. It stays in that position and does not follow the aircraft as that seems to be how that circle behave in real radar software. The setting can be found in the Pilot Interactions tab in the Settings window. Also in the Pilot Interactions tab there is a new option for automatic handoffs. When an aircraft arrive at an active runway it will automatically switch to tower if it has a path across the runway or can depart from the holding point. Two short notices to end with. If someone is looking for the Default Routes tab in settings it has been moved to its own separate window and the loading code for the builder has been reworked so airports should now load a lot faster in the builder. Thanks for playing!Changelog:- Added an instruction which makes the aircraft ignore collisions.- Added automatic handoffs option.- Added cross instruction to aircraft popup menu.- Added option for movement sensitivity in builder (includes zoom) (builder).- Added option to display a circle around currently talking aircraft.- Changed button layout for time speed control.- Changed callsign detection rules a bit for bette...
