About this game

Jumpy vs. Chompy is a fast-paced 2D vertical platform action game.

Keep jumping upward, find your footing from platform to platform, stomp enemies, collect coins and power-ups, and always watch out for the one closing in from below—Chompy!

The longer you stop, the closer the danger gets.

If you want to survive, there is only one way—keep climbing.

Core Gameplay

🟡 Keep Jumping Up

Master the rhythm of your jumps and move continuously between platforms.

Judge your landing points, adjust your direction, and chain enemy stomps together. Every jump could determine whether your run continues.

👻 Escape Chompy

Chompy keeps rising from below.

Falling, hesitating, or making repeated mistakes will allow Chompy to get closer and closer.

You can temporarily knock Chompy back, but the real goal never changes—keep going up.

💥 Stomp Enemies and Chain Jumps

Enemies are not only obstacles—they can also become your stepping stones.

Land precisely on enemies to bounce again, chain multiple stomps together for smoother upward movement, and earn higher scores.

✨ Buffs and Special Abilities

Collect different power-ups throughout the levels to change the course of your run.

Use them wisely to break through dangerous areas, knock enemies back, and buy yourself more time to keep climbing.

50-Level Challenge

The game features 50 levels.

As you progress, platform layouts, enemy arrangements, and the pressure of Chompy's pursuit will continue to change.

Your final score depends not only on how far you can go, but also on your movement, enemy stomps, combos, and overall performance throughout the challenge.

Two-Player Co-op

Supports:

  • Single-player

  • Local two-player co-op

  • Shared / Split-screen play

  • Keyboard and controllers

  • Steam Remote Play Together

Two players can take on the challenge together on the same computer, or invite a distant Steam friend through Steam Remote Play Together.

Only one game world is running, so both players face the same enemies, platforms, and Chompy.

Jumping alone is already intense. Escaping together is even more chaotic.

Global Leaderboards

Push your own limits and compete with players around the world.

The game includes:

  • Global Solo High Score

  • Highest Solo Level

  • Co-op High Score

  • Hall of Supporters

Keep breaking your records and see who truly is the best jumper.

Free Revival Cards and Optional Support

The game gives you free Revival Cards, which are generally enough for normal play.

Players who choose to support the game can make an optional in-game purchase through Steam to unlock the permanent unlimited-revival privilege.

Revive on the Spot + 30 Seconds of Invincibility

You will also receive a permanent honorary title and supporter status.

A revival can save you from one mistake, but how high you ultimately score still depends on your own skill.

Jump.

Keep jumping.

Don't look back.

Chompy is coming.

Major Update Feedback Request: Co-op Experience Improvement Plan

Hello everyone,Over the past days, I’ve received feedback from players, curators, and content creators. One thing made me especially happy:many people seem genuinely interested in the co-op mode of Jumpy vs. Chompy. That made me more certain about the direction of the next major update.I’m planning to put a strong focus on:improving the co-op experiencemaking teamwork more fun and more meaningfulmaking two-player sessions smoother, more engaging, and more replayableBefore I make this update, I want to hear from youInstead of changing everything in isolation, I’d rather ask the people who played the game — or are interested in it — what they actually want most. What would you most like to see improved in co-op?For example:Is the co-op mode fun enough right now?Does teamwork feel strong and satisfying?Does the level pacing work well for two players? What parts feel the most exciting, and what parts feel frustrating?Would you like to see more of:stronger co-op mechanics?more intense rescue/chase moments?clearer player roles?better co-op challenges or leaderboard goals? The feedback I want mostIf you have played the game, I’d especially love to know:What is the most fun part of co-op right now? What is the biggest problem or frustration in co-op?If I make one major improvement first, what should it be?Would you prefer co-op to feel more casual/fun, or more hardcore/challenging?The goal of this updateI don’t want this to be just a small patch.I want this update to push Jumpy vs. Chompy’s co-op mode one real step forward:more fun, more interaction, and more memorable moments. If you’d like, please leave your thoughts in the comments. Whether it’s a short suggestion or a detailed breakdown, I’ll read it carefully.Thank you very much for your support. Your feedback can directly shape the direction of this major update.— Hu Ping

Dev Update: The First “Unit World” of Jumpy vs. Chompy 2 Is Complete

    # Dev Update: Our First “Unit World” Is Now CompleteDevelopment on **Jumpy vs. Chompy 2** has reached an important milestone. For a long time, I was experimenting with how the horizontal world should work.Should it loop forever?Should it simply become a very long stage?Should every dungeon exist as an isolated level? After many iterations, I finally found the structure I want.## A World Is No Longer Just One MapThe first major area of Jumpy vs. Chompy 2 is now designed as a **finite Unit World**.Instead of endlessly repeating scenery, the main horizontal world is now approximately **10,000 pixels wide** and has real boundaries. The player enters near the center of the world, inside a safe area. From there:- Travel left to discover the **Dungeon**- Travel right to reach the **Mine**- Continue toward the far edges of the world to find **locked dimensional portals**- Those portals will eventually connect this Unit World to completely new worldsThe idea is simple:> One Unit World contains its own overworld, dungeons, caves, enemies, secrets, bosses and events. And several Unit Worlds can eventually connect together to form a much larger adventure.## The Environment Is Becoming Part of CombatAnother major focus has been the environment itself.I don't want fog, dust and atmosphere to exist only as visual decoration. The game now uses a **real-time 2D fluid environment system**.Players, monsters and attacks can physically disturb the environment.Running through the world pushes the medium around.Combat moves it.Some attacks pull the surrounding environment inward before violently releasing it again. The goal is for the world itself to react to combat rather than simply displaying particles on top of the screen.Different areas can eventually use different kinds of environmental media:fog, dungeon smoke, mine dust, ash and other atmospheric materials. But they all share the same physical foundation.## Movement Rules Are Becoming More ConsistentThe world also now has clearer traversa...
