Action, Indie, Early Access · More free games
Drive through treacherous roads, outmaneuvering fiends and allies alike in this intense action game. Defy fate and the Devil as you race and shoot your way to survival.
About this game
Take the wheel as Lucky, an arrogant greaser, as she battles the Devil and her legion of darkness. Sentenced to an eternity of reaping souls with no final exit in sight, she’ll take down every Devil-sent demon and undead summoned to torment her, and leave them hitchhiking for eternity. Leather jackets, pompadours, grease, and gasoline. A world gushing with style as thick as oil and carnage at 100mph.
Gunning for the End of the Road
As a Road Reaper, you’re bound to the very highway where you drew your last breath and condemned to harvest mortal souls for what may be eternity. Yet behind the wheel, you are a force to be reckoned with and you've got that shotgun shine. You'll gun down every Devil-sent demon and undead on your way to that elusive end of the road. With each attempt to escape your hell, you'll grow stronger and unravel more about yourself and the world you're tethered to.
Perks, Powers, and Pit Stops
Need to make a pit stop? Make strategic stops and visit other Road Reapers on route who will lend you their powers and help you go that extra mile. Choose to visit key allies along the way to score new perks, abilities, and skills, which when combined create powerful character builds that’ll make the Devil herself tremble in fear.
Geared for Replayability
No two attempts to escape your tether are ever the same. With each attempt, discover more about your fellow Reapers, the fiends who stand in your way, and even yourself. Enemies who get the best of you and ran you off the road in previous runs will remember you. Stop by the Junkyard to purchase permanent upgrades to soup-up your ride and earn that revenge.
The Devil’s Diabolical Designs
The Devil is always one step ahead as she orchestrates her symphony of carnage against you. Enemies sent to stop your escape will differ in number and strength, as she watches your every move and fine-tunes her strategy. She is always plotting against you.

Retiring the Old Demo
Hey folks,Scaravan's demo hasn't been updated in roughly a year. The full game has moved forward and left it behind! We don't have the capacity to keep it up to date, evidently, so we've decided to take it out of commission for now while we get a new one ready. We'll call it a pitstop...Meanwhile, as the band plays, the dev crew is still hard at work cramming more chaos and polished chrome into Scaravan. Three more areas are in the works, and the enemy roster has grown a bunch since you've last seen it.Other things Since the last demo update we've rebuilt enemy core smarts, navigation, and spatial awareness; reworked mouse and gamepad controls (yes again!); overhauled the story beats and upgrade paths based on user feedback; and a ton of other stuff we plugged in there during the year. The current demo is missing all of those, so it's an outdated first impression that we'd rather keep offline until we can get it road-ready again.A new demo will land closer to launch with all the new bells and whistles, so wishlist if you haven't yet and you'll hear from us when it goes live.Read full article on Community Announcements (Al)Patch NotesOfficial
Burnouts & Buffs. This Update Hits Harder.
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45288720/4deb64b0191b0302ca55531b5218e3d8341d0573.png Hi gang! It's been a month and 10 days since the last demo update and we're back for another! While a lot of our time and effort has been on content beyond the demo region, we've still managed to have a significant number of changes for the demo. I'll leave you with a list of highlights followed by the detailed release notes, that might be interesting to someone. Suggestions and feedback are very welcome! Come talk to us on Discord or here on the Steam forums! Highlights Major Rework of Aiming: We've heard from quite a few of y'all in the feedback forms about the un-good aiming in the previous version. The aim assist was aggressive and sticky, it was required for aiming to work at all, the mouse movements would get stuck on the corners, and aiming behind the car was clunky and unintuitive. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45288720/5ceec8479b5806fc2a4379f1905f66e22d543ce2.gif We've been trying a lot of things out and we're happy enough with the progress so far to add it in this update. There were many little changes and fixes that I won't go into, but the gist is that the aim should just feel better now, as we've fixed all the issues I mentioned in the first paragraph and then some. Importantly Aim assist is no longer required to be playable, it acts more like a magnet to targetable things and is only enforce on flying units; since aiming controls are horizontal only, this is still needed. I still think some aim assist is more fun with this kind of control scheme, but it's optional now. Additionally, the reticle now interacts directly where you're aiming at, instead of finding hotspots to lock onto, helping to feel more responsive. Also in this update, we've added many more aiming poses for Lucky so she can track targets vertically and instead of blocking Lucky at the back angles, she'll snap into the other direction immediately so it feels seamless to aim backwards (she contorts herself a bit, but we're prio...Read full article on Community Announcements (Al)AnnouncementsOfficial
Steam Deck and Handheld Support
Playable on Steam Deck? YES! Fully playable with good performance in our internal testing (with Proton). Performance Snapshot As of the July 16th demo build, v0.6a-35, we're able to run the game, at low/medium mixed settings, consistently well above +30fps on the Steam Deck OLED and ROG Ally (with Windows) while unplugged, usually above 40fps. The game currently uses just a bit above 20w with these settings, though it does spike while loading threads are active. We intend to keep the game running smooth on these handheld devices in all future updates and to improve power usage where we can. Recommended Graphical Settings Medium for most settings EXCEPT Global Illumination and Reflection Quality (set these to Low) Resolution: Deck @ 1280x800, ROG Ally @ 1280x720p Higher resolutions are playable, but expect increased battery usage (up to ~30W on Ally). Note: The game does run ok on medium settings, though there are some hitches and slowdowns, so reducing a few Graphical settings to low can help with that, eg. Global Illumination and Reflection Quality. Need Help, Have Suggestions, or Want to Chat? Come talk to us on Discord! https://discord.gg/d56vheUkR4 Thanks for playing! New Demo!
Hey there reapers! Here's the latest gossip: Scaravan 66 will NOT be in early access this July. While we announced, not too long ago, that it would be heading to Early Access, we've decided to delay this and instead refresh the demo while the full game bakes a little longer. Development is going very well, the other areas are being fleshed out, and our enemy roster is really filling up! BUT with all of the feedback we've received, we want to spend a little more time tweaking and polishing while we can, before putting it out there. The good stuff: New Demo!, As I've mentioned, we've got a new demo up on Steam. The release notes for all the changes can be found here Here's what's up, we've put a lot of work into the game game since we released the early preview demo during February's Steam Next Fest, and while we can't do EA just yet, we could keep updating the demo and treat it like a type of early access with a smaller scope, and as a bonus: demos are FREE! So that's what we intend to do!Read full article on Community Announcements (Andy)
