Reimagined Game Announcement!
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! This game's page was published just over a year ago, and there were plans to release the game itself last year as well. But something went off the rails. As always. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45218344/886d599a2ac6ed0c9fe77d906a18d1d53739da6a.jpg This is the first news for this game, and in it, we want to share updated information about the game, some details, and the reasons for the delay. And while we're at it, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who added the game to their wishlist and is still waiting for it just a little, despite the silence for a whole year. Reasons for the Delay It's all very mundane: we didn't like what we were coming up with, and the idea lost its appeal. Originally, the plan was to create our own modified version of card football, where you'd have to battle simple enemies and then take on several bosses (the "Idols" in the title kind of hints at that). Just like in the first game in the series, Ells Tales: Egg, the core feature was controlling each of the character's hands: pressing something at the right time, grabbing, selecting, constantly keeping an eye on different areas of the game table, and so on. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45218344/46507ed6b6944317a22a440eac72e63bd9fe64f9.jpg But for the third, and moreover the FINAL game in the chicken series, all this felt so-so, weak, and not fun enough. The final game simply must be special and head and shoulders above the previous parts. So in the following months, the game was reworked several times—it still remained a card game and still turned out to be nonsense. Our weird games may appeal to you, they may seem like utter nonsense, but honestly, we don't release what we don't like ourselves. Some things turn out more successfully, some less so, but that's the absolute minimum standard. Reimagining It's worth noting that in 2025, we planned to release several games, but we only managed to come up with and make one: Ells Tales: Chairbound. But it was worth it—even with all the ...Read full article on Community Announcements (nnme_dve)AnnouncementsOfficial
Important Announcement!
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! In this news we want to pay attention to such a habitual thing in our daily life, like social networks. If big texts tire you, you can skip the entire text until "In general..". https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/45051997/bcbceb81268cb7cd25a0547b86c270bdaa4d14bb.jpg Stupid or not, we didn't originally plan to actively manage social media or promote our games on them. The only thing we find useful and actually use is YouTube, for posting our game trailers. Sure, we have a half-dead account on Reddit and Twitter (X, sorry), but we log in there, like, once every 3-9 months, lol. Recently, we connected with another developer and even agreed to join him in a Collaborative Bundle celebrating the release of his first game. We'd never done anything like that before, so we were curious to gain new experience and check out what it's all about. But the point is different, the developer asked us: "why don't you create your own community on Discord? It's the coolest platform, definitely do it!". After mulling over his inspiring words a bit, we figured it's worth a shot. Honestly, we'd like to gather people here on Steam, as this is our most important platform. But even though players love Steam, and it's not just a game store but a whole ecosystem (profile, game library, achievements, badges, trading market, and so on), as a social network, it's just awful. There are many basic things missing here that could be organized simply, accessibly, and intuitively for both players and developers. In general.. We'll try to gradually develop our Community on Discord, although it will take a lot of time and there's no idea if it will be worth it or not. There we'll have the opportunity to: Conveniently share news regarding the development and updates of our games, so that everything is in one place. Periodically show our works in progress, various funny things that don't belong here. Hold polls. Yeah, sometimes you really want to know the opinion of your aud...Read full article on Community Announcements (Ells&Pills)AnnouncementsOfficial
