New Early Checkpoint Added
First, I want to sincerely apologize to those most affected by this issue. This update took longer than I had hoped. Since the game was already complete, adding a new checkpoint wasn’t as simple as it might sound, especially while I’m deep into development on my third game. Some players mentioned that the first checkpoint took too long to reach, and in some cases, players exited before getting there, forcing them to restart from the very beginning. I didn’t want that to keep happening, and it bothered me knowing it was hurting the experience for some of you.So I locked in and got it done, I’ve added an earlier checkpoint to the game.I truly hope this improves your experience. Thank you all for the incredibly helpful feedback and for your continued support. It really means a lot.Read full article on Community Announcements (TSGAMESLLC)Patch NotesOfficial
Player Experience Update
My goal with this update is to enhance the experience for everyone, including more casual players. As I continue developing my third game, The Butler, I’m learning more with each update. I want my games to offer challenge, not frustration, and to feel tense and rewarding without becoming overwhelming. Many of the changes in this update are a direct result of player feedback, and I truly appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts and experiences.Thank you all for the great feedback and continued support, it genuinely helps shape the game. The Update:Enemy AI & Gameplay ImprovementsAI Grace Period Added Enemies now have a short grace period before reacting to the player’s light or when the player is standing in lit areas. This gives players a brief moment to notice the threat and turn off their light before being detected.Sprint Behavior Updated During Chases Players can now always sprint during chase sequences. Sprinting no longer requires the enemy to be actively chasing you to activate. (But sprint only becomes available during certain parts of the game)Improved Running Feedback Player run speed and camera shake have been adjusted to better convey the feeling of running.Slight Walk Speed Increase Player walking speed has been slightly increased for smoother exploration.Story & AtmosphereLore Text Adjustments Some longer lore entries have been shortened to improve readability while preserving key story details.Chapter-Specific ChangesChapter 2 Enemy Adjustment Reduced the chance of the enemy blowing out candles, making encounters feel more balanced and less random.Inspection & VisualsImproved Zoom Inspection Increased the field of view while using the zoom feature, allowing players to better inspect key items.Read full article on Community Announcements (TSGAMESLLC)AnnouncementsOfficial

Chapter 2 Balancing
Update Notes – Chapter 2 BalancingThe enemy in Chapter 2 now has only a 25% chance to blow out lit candles, rather than extinguishing them immediately. The player's lighter now features an increased attenuation radius, offering better visibility in darker areas.I want to sincerely thank everyone for the feedback on Chapter 2. I understand it may have felt overly difficult for some, and I’m still learning how to strike the right balance between challenge and enjoyment. While some players found creative ways to push through, others struggled, so I truly hope this update brings a more fair and fun experience for everyone.Your support means the world to me, and these lessons will absolutely help shape my future projects.Thank you again for playing!Read full article on Community Announcements (TSGAMESLLC)
