About this game

After a failed heist, a group known as the Renegades is forced to flee, crash landing near the mysterious planet Paimo. With no other choice, they descend into its depths in search of help and uncover secrets that should have remained buried.
DESCEND WITH FRIENDS
Descend solo or with up to two friends into the dangerous depths of PAIMO. Coordinate your abilities, share gadgets, and work together to survive. But watch your back... sometimes you’ll need to unleash your inner Renegade and break away from the group to maximize your rewards.
GADGETS, WEAPONS AND ULTIMATES
Inside the MineGeon, every run is a chance to grow stronger. Level up to unlock powerful Gadgets that grant a wide variety of upgrades to aid you in battle, equip a variety of weapons to match your playstyle, and choose Ultimates that can completely change how you approach combat. Combining Gadgets, Weapons, and Ultimates creates unique synergies that will shape your descent into PAIMO.
BRING OUT YOUR INNER GREED
PAIMO is filled with minerals that bring out your inner greed. The deeper you descend, the greater the rewards and the risks. Collect valuable minerals and trade them for permanent upgrades, but choose wisely when to send them back to your ship.
FACE ENEMIES DESPERATE TO STOP YOU
The biomes of PAIMO are home to a vast array of enemies. Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter the Scavengers, who will do anything to stop your descent. Why are they so determined to keep you from going deeper? Each biome culminates in a boss battle that will push your skills and strategies to the limit.
GROW STRONGER EVERY RUN
Progression is key to your survival and success. As you explore and gather resources, you can upgrade your skills and equipment to grow stronger with every run. Invest in permanent upgrades for your spaceship and enhance each Renegade’s attributes to prepare for the challenges ahead.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR SHIP
Access the Galactic Express PC to buy over 200 items, decorations, and themed objects from the biomes you explore, and customize the interior of your ship to your liking. Organize your base, visit other Renegades' ships online, and show off your setup to the community.
CHOOSE YOUR RENEGADE
Choose from three classes, each with their own ultimate ability and unique stats. From Marshall, the resilient Tank, to Trevor, the deadly DPS Gunslinger, and Ari, the balanced Engineer. Find your role within the team and combine your strengths with other Renegades to maximize your chances of surviving the descent into PAIMO.
CHOOSE YOUR DESCENT
Deep within PAIMO lie mysterious monoliths pulsing with ancient technology. These relics let the Renegades decide how to continue their descent, vote as a team to choose the path that benefits everyone, or follow your own ambition.
Add MineGeon: Renegades to your wishlist and join the adventure!

Patch 3 update: Rest between biomes, resume any run where you left it,40+ Fixes
Three patches in, and once again almost everything here started as one of your reports or suggestions. Thank you for keeping them coming, and thank you for the patience while we built the big one.The headline this time is that a run no longer has to be a single unbroken sitting. Two separate features make that possible, and it is worth being clear about which is which: resting lets you stop after a biome boss and bank everything you earned, and room checkpoints mean that if a run gets cut short, you come back exactly where you were. Alongside those, We are working on Steam Deck support. Here is what changed:NewRest between biomesKilling a biome boss no longer teleports you straight into the next one. A prompt now asks whether you want to rest. Resting ends the run the way a normal finish does: you cash in your minerals and experience and return to the ship. Your next descent starts directly at the level selector of the next biome, with your gear equipped and an empty backpack.Everything carries over: gear, gadgets, weapons, ultimate, food, coins, experience, spores, reroll charges, recruits and pets and it works in co-op. There are now three run endings: Victory (green), Defeat (red) and Rest (blue).Leftover underground coins are no longer auto-converted at 50%. When you rest, you choose: exchange them now, or take them back down with you. The drop pod shows a summary card of the run you are about to resume, with your stats, gadgets, weapons and ultimate. And if the boss drops a character key, the cutscene plays first and the rest prompt waits its turn.Room checkpoints and resumeThe game now saves your run every time you enter a room: position, entry door, full loadout, food, keys, difficulty, resources, rooms already visited, burned cards and experience. If a run is cut short, the main menu button changes from PLAY to RESUME and drops you back into your room without going through the base.Health is the only thing saved mid-room. Everything else is the snapshot from ...Read full article on Community Announcements (kickstonestudio)Patch NotesOfficial
Week One Update: Thank You for a Week of Feedback
It has been a week since Minegeon: Renegades launched, and we want to start by saying thank you. Every report, suggestion and bit of criticism you have sent our way went straight into this patch, and we are committed to keep improving the game until it is the best experience we can possibly give you. A huge congratulations as well to everyone who has already beaten the game. Seeing you get all the way to the end this quickly means a lot to us. Here is what changed: New Customizable crosshairConfigure your crosshair from Settings: color, size and style, with a live preview. Fully navigable with gamepad and with keyboard/mouse. More ore variety across biomesOres are no longer locked to their home biome. Biome 2 can now yield Slium, for example, so you can build up a wider spread of minerals wherever you happen to be exploring instead of farming one specific biome for a recipe or an enhancement. Difficulty flamesRun difficulty is now readable at a glance: blue, yellow and red flames based on accumulated points. Shown on the HUD, the pause menu, the difficulty panel and the end-of-run screen. Reloading no longer breaks when you jumpYou can jump mid-reload and the reload keeps going. Switching weapons is now the only thing that cancels it. New icon: Lethal BulletThe Lethal Bullet gadget now has its own art across all three levels. Balance & ProgressionAchievement targets massively reduced. Cosmic Geology: 100,000 → 5,000 ores mined. Needs Therapy: 100,000 → 20,000 kills. Paimo's Biggest Employer: 100 → 50 recruits. Rich and Reckless: 10,000 → 5,000 coins. Underground Economy: 100 → 50 merchant purchases. The max-difficulty achievement was impossible to earn. The required total counted every difficulty lever, including ones with no playable button, so it asked for 27 points against the 18 a player can actually set. Only real levers count now.Default rock XP reduced by 60%. Mining common rock is no longer the most efficient way to level up.Cheaper recipes: five foods (Infec...Read full article on Community Announcements (kickstonestudio)Patch NotesOfficial

Quick Fix — Stuck Enemy swarm Rooms
Fixed enemy arena rooms that could never be completed when an enemy got stuck out of reach, knocked outside the play area, trapped in geometry, or otherwise unkillable. The room now detects a stalled fight and clears the remaining stragglers so the monolith always unlocks.Read full article on Community Announcements (kickstonestudio)AnnouncementsOfficial
Note #1: Release
First of all, we want to thank everyone who bought the game. We're a small team, so every purchase and every Steam review helps us directly and allows us to keep improving Minegeon: Renegades. This week was launch week, and we won't lie: having to delay the game two days past the promised date hit us hard. Even so, staying optimistic, yesterday we finally released our game.Since then, we've received a lot of feedback and we're reading every single comment, both on Steam and on our Discord, and applying improvements along the way. Today's changes are the following: Starting Weapons & Co-op XPWe've been reading everything you've been posting on Steam and Discord, and it's clear there are a few things about the game that need to change. Here's the first round, and we'll keep iterating from here.A better start: more starting weaponsYour opening weapon pool used to contain just 3 options, which meant most runs started the same way. We've added the most common weapons to that pool, so you now roll from 12 starting weapons instead of 3.The result is a smoother, more varied opening, and the more exotic, specialized weapons stay where they belong: out in the dungeon, waiting to be found.Co-op XP: everyone earns nowWe noticed that playing co-op was leaving you badly under-levelled, and the reason was simple: experience only went to whoever performed the action. If your teammate mined the ore or landed the kill, you got nothing for it.That's fixed. XP is now shared with the whole party, from mining and from kills alike. Play together and you'll level up at the pace you should have been all along. We'll keep iterating and shipping changes like these. Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming. Our goal is a game that's fun and challenging in equal measure, and you're helping us get there.Read full article on Community Announcements (kickstonestudio)
