About this game
Ocean Survivors is a bite-sized, pirate-themed survivors-like. It features minimalistic gameplay, including score-attack and roguelite elements.
Fight off hordes of enemies and level up your ship. The more you level up, the bigger your advantage against other pirates is.
Can you survive a 15-minute run?
No Endless Grinding: This game is made to be completed within ~3 hours.
New Builds Every Run: Every run starts from scratch. Adapt to the choices you are given, combine powerful weapons, and find the ultimate build.
Skill Over Meta-Progression: Aside from unlocking new abilities, there are no permanent stat boosts. Your survival depends on your tactical upgrades, skills, and a little bit of luck.
Increase Your Destructive Power: Level up during combat to expand your arsenal with burst-firing cannons, overwhelming power-ups, and unique abilities.
Chaotic Bullet Hell: Dodge incoming cannon fire and navigate around enemy fleets as the intensity ramps up.
Plunder and Loot: Pick up gold from sunken enemy ships to increase your score.
Global Leaderboards: Compete directly against other players. Climb the ranks, secure the #1 spot, and prove you are the ultimate pirate captain!

1 Week Until Endless Mode Launches! And a Leaderboard Reset!
Ahoy!Endless Mode & LocalizationIt's almost time for the Autumn Sale, and I've planned to launch the Endless Mode & Localization Update on the exact date when the sale starts, October 1st - 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM CEST. Leaderboard Reset & MetricsDue to the localization, there might be an increase of new players who will be setting scores on the leaderboard. As of now, I currently have no way of verifying entries, especially when players set their profiles to private.With the new update, I'm planning to reset the leaderboard and have added metrics in the backend that I will be tracking. Things like time spent in Survival Mode or Endless Mode as well as the number of abilities the person has unlocked, achievements, and so on. So pretty basic stuff. These are solely used by me to gauge the legitimacy of an entry and to try and act accordingly if something seems fishy. Resetting the leaderboard gives me a clean slate to work with.This also gives you a new chance to fight for the top spot!Additionally, the Endless Mode will have its own leaderboards. Ahoy everyone!It's the final week of Ocean Survivors' launch month, and I'm blown away! The 33 reviews are almost 100% positive, AND Ocean Survivors hit a huge milestone of ~1500 sold units! I am super grateful to every single one of you who has played, streamed, or reviewed the game. What's next?Planned UpdateInstead of implementing smaller updates over the course of the next couple of weeks, I intend to bundle them into one major update. I am planning to drop the update at the beginning of October. As I work solo, this gives me some time.Endless ModeSurvive for as long as you can. The ability level cap will be raised from 10 to 100, and the time limit is completely removed. Additionally, more difficulty levels are added, which bring more chaos, in terms of numbers, to your run. Lastly, this mode will have its own leaderboard for you to compete on. Test your builds against large numbers of enemies!LocalizationAlongside the Endless Mode, the languages Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, and German will be added to the game to reach more players. Other languages aren't implemented due to budget reasons (sorry!). As I didn't plan ahead (...!), this will take me a while.VisualsTo reach a more cohesive level of quality, more visual elements will be added to the level.
