About this game

Am I Nima is a psychological-horror game where you play as Nima, a girl who has lost all her memories and is being trapped in the basement by her mother. To escape, all you have to do is pass your mom’s tests and convince her that you really are her daughter.
As you explore, you uncover words tied to the objects around you: a worn-out plushie, a locked drawer, an old note scribbled in hurried handwriting. These words represent Nima's thoughts and emotions, giving you a peek into how Nima thinks and feels.
However, to really find the truth, you must actively combine words in Nima's mind, experimenting with different pairings to unlock deeper meanings and access buried memories.
When it comes to the tests, you’ll use your new found words to direct the conversation. Choose your words carefully, as they will change how Nima responds to her mom. Will you tell her what she wants to hear? Or will you probe her for the truth?
The more you uncover, the more questions arise: Why has your mother locked you in the basement? What do these tests mean? And are you really Nima?

Update on Am I Nima's release date and peek into development
Hey everyone, We’ve been working very hard on finishing up the game, and we want to give you guys an update on the development of Am I Nima. After careful consideration, we have decided to shift our release date to November 27th, 2026. While we’re confident in how the game is shaping up, we also realize that there’s a lot that goes into launching a game, and we want to be absolutely sure that we get it right. For us, having that extra time means that we can further polish, test, and bug fix the game so it can be in the best shape it can be when it releases. Your patience and support has meant the world to us, and we don’t take that for granted. We know you’ve been excitedly waiting for the game to come out, and we are equally eager for you guys to play it. We can’t wait to see you guys enjoy everything we’ve been working on when November comes. Speaking of which, we want to give you guys a peek into what we’ve been making! Am I Nima has grown a lot since we released the demo. Let's take a look at how it's changed. Peek into developmentNew RoomsIn the game there will be 5 different environments to explore, which includes over 300 objects to inspect. Some of these environments contain multiple rooms for you to navigate, and some hide extra secrets for you to discover. Shown below is the laundry area of the Basement.New TestsWe have Over 15 different tests spread across 5 Chapters in the game. As reference, the demo contained Chapter 1 and half of Chapter 2. There's also 7 additional tests that you can find if you dig a little deeper. Some of these tests can be as simple as answering Mom's question, while some are much more elaborate.Throughout the tests in the game, there are over 150 main dialogue choices and over 600 optional dialogue choices that you can make. One Year Update
It's been a year since our demo came out!And fun fact - we're not dead :DIf you haven't heard from us in a while, it's because Nima's mom locked us in the basement to ensure we're working hard on the game.On a serious note, with Outersloth's funding, we've been able to increase the scope of the game to what we envisioned from the beginning; and we've been putting our heads to the ground to get it all done.There's been so many crazy and cool updates we've made to the game, and we're here to give you a little taste.New animations!First up, we've revamped the mom sprite, giving her more animations!See her talk!New locations!We've been filling out Nima's house with more rooms for you to explore.
