The day awaits. Whether it ends with you going to visit family, taking a breath in the park, or hiding inside your apartment, it all can be taken away without you having a say in the matter. Regardless of all the chances that life might provide, one truth persists: carpe diem.

Experience the unexpected in Broad Daylight, an indie RPG from Vagus Truman where each day brings new challenges and choices. Will you seize the moment or let it slip away?
About this game
When a crisis occurs, instinct dictates that someone else will take responsibility.
What happens when crisis befalls you, and all people will do is watch your plight, and go about their day?
Sometimes they can survive to see the end of the day. Other times, they might not.
Sometimes the choice is in their hands. Other times, they are at the mercy of chance.
What end is within your reach?
Broad Daylight is a game created by Vagus Truman that subverts common horror tropes found in games, where the horror lies in a lack of identity and agency, and the setting is in a brightly lit area. The player adopts the role of a character that just happens to be the victim of a random killing on their way to whatever the day may take them. Each ending, each insight into their character and being, is up for the player to learn and pick up on as their avatar navigates the world.
Play Time
The game should take about 10 to 45 minutes to finish.
Options
The basic setup of volume and graphics settings are dictated by the engine's base settings, from Low to Ultra graphics, and a slider to control master audio.
Gameplay
It is a basic walking simulator, with a dialogue system in place to have the player assume the mentality of the player's avatar as they navigate the small world.

The Flicker Update
Hello hello hello, ladies and gentlemen! It's been a long time coming, and frankly, it's for the better that this happened at all, but the Flicker Update for Broad Daylight is finally here!Inside, you'll find that a lot of things have been moved around since before, with massive overhauls to UI, models, tone, a drastic change to the outdoors map, a good and proper save system, and progression as you make it through each day. There is a new Snack Street, a street rife with shops to add some lived-in flavouring to the area, and a revamp to the mall and park areas of the map. There have also been much-needed optimizations to the models, NPCs, crowds, and level system so your hardware won't take a nosedive trying to capture a moment. There is also now day progression, where finishing what you've set out to do during the day changes the look and feel of the environment, from a dreary winter to the precipice of an oncoming spring by the end of the cycle, if you can make it far enough. But why stop there? There is now complete and total controller support, as well as a brand new save system. The save system ensures that a special something or someone is always within arm's reach, as well as the expanded Settings Menu to tweak the game as needed, from the music to the head bob in case some players are prone to motion sickness. You did not misread that, dear player; thanks to the courtesy of one Lile Vadauskas, there is now a little something to fill this dreary world with something other than the chatter of the crowd and the rainfall outside your window. A small piece of delight that you can count on.That's enough out of me for the time being. You're free to get a taste of what I've got to offer in the trailer linked to this announcement, or you can jump in and see for yourself what all the fuss is about. I hope you all have a lovely day, afternoon, or evening, depending on where and when you are when this gets to you, and don't forget.Carpe diem.Read full article on Community Announcements (Vagus Truman)AnnouncementsOfficial
