About this game

Survive the Korean Zombie Apocalypse in VR ZOMVIRUS is an immersive VR zombie survival shooter set in Seoul’s Hapjeong Station (Hongdae). Built with Unity and optimized for Meta Quest, it delivers smooth 80 FPS performance, minimizing motion sickness with lightweight assets and PBR rendering. Neon-lit streets, subway tunnels, and abandoned club are recreated with authentic Korean detail.

Unlike slow and predictable enemies, you will face fast and intelligent Korean zombies that chase, flank, and coordinate with swarm AI. Their behavior adapts to your location, noise, and vision, keeping survival tense at all times. Equip yourself with 20+ realistic weapons, including the K2 rifle and K5 pistol, designed with manual reloads, two-handed handling, recoil, and authentic ballistics.

ZOMVIRUS also emphasizes VR interactivity: grab weapons, open doors, move objects, and trigger dynamic reactions such as destructible items, lighting, and sound. The game is built for the future with modular design and multiplayer-ready architecture using Photon/Fusion. Expect regular updates with new maps, weapons, and zombie types.

Key Features Korean Setting – Explore Hapjeong (Hongdae) with authentic realism. Fast & Intelligent Zombies – Smarter, faster, more dangerous AI. 20+ Realistic Weapons – Includes iconic K2 and K5. ZOMVIRUS UPDATE 4

ZOMVIRUS UPDATE 4Hello, this is Jooyoo, the developer of ZOMVIRUS.We’re back with the fourth update.I originally thought I could finish this update within a week, but while testing together with multiplayer features, more bugs appeared than expected. As a result, I’m back after two weeks.During that time, I received a lot of feedback, and I’ll be addressing them step by step through future updates. Now, let’s take a look at what’s included in this update.1) Zombie AI Behavior Tree RenewalDue to rapid early development, the behavior-related code and feature-related code had become tangled. With this update, these systems have been clearly separated, allowing zombie behavior to feel smoother and more natural. You’ll now encounter zombies that roam around the map, instead of just standing still. You never know where a zombie might appear. Experience a more tense and frightening ZOMVIRUS.2) Zombie Sound UpdateThere are currently 15 types of zombies in ZOMVIRUS. Previously, all zombies shared the same sound effects. With this update, each zombie type now has its own distinct sounds.Let me know which zombie you find the scariest.Your feedback is always welcome.ClosingThe more I work on development, the more I realize how difficult it is to create natural zombie-like AI.I’ll continue studying and improving to make zombies feel even more realistic.I’ve received a lot of feedback on Discord as well. I’ll organize everything and try to reflect it in future updates.Feel free to leave comments, reviews, or messages on Discord anytime. Thank you for your continued support. This was Jooyoo, developer of ZOMVIRUS.

We will continue to reflect your feedback and improve the game step by step.As this is a solo development project, updates may take some time. ZOMVIRUS UPDATE 2

Hello, this is Jooyoo, the developer of ZOMVIRUS.We’re back with our second update. We received a lot of feedback saying that reloading felt difficult. So we decided to make it easier.Let’s take a closer look at what’s new.1) Reload Option Added# Realistic / Automatic SettingsReloading has been divided into Realistic and Automatic modes.RealisticWorks the same as before.Insert the magazine, then rack the slide or bolt to chamber a round.AutomaticSimply insert the magazine and you’re ready to fire.No extra actions required.# Faster CombatIn situations like defense modes where zombies rush in, using Automatic mode can make combat easier. If you enjoy hardcore gameplay, try Realistic mode instead. Can you clear it?2) Reload Guide Added# Action Position IndicatorsPreviously, it was difficult to tell:whether the weapon was out of ammowhether the slide had been rackedWe added a reload guide system that clearly shows the current state at a glance. With clear visual guidance on what action to take and when, manual reloading becomes much easier to learn.3) Bug Fixes# Tutorial Not Displaying on First LaunchWe received reports that the tutorial was not starting. After investigation, we found that the tutorial was running, but the TV UI was not switching to the tutorial screen. This issue occurred due to differences between PC and standalone VR devices. We apologize to our Meta users. This bug only affected the Meta platform. The issue has now been fixed.# Zombies Running in PlaceWe discovered an issue where zombies would run in place when hit. They were unable to recognize who attacked them, causing them to keep running on the spot without moving. This has been fixed so zombies can now properly recognize attackers and react correctly. We will continue to improve the game based on your feedback.Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate your interest in ZOMVIRUS.
