In Solar Wave, manage your interstellar economy and military might to dominate the cosmos. With early access, dive into a deep 4X strategy experience where every decision shapes your empire’s fate.
About this game
Solar Wave is a grand-scale space strategy game with indirect control, where economy, war, and expansion unfold across entire galaxies. The 21st millennium. Humanity’s Solar Empire has conquered the Milky Way and now turns its gaze toward a neighboring galaxy. New worlds are already inhabited but that will not halt mankind’s relentless expansion. As an imperial governor, you shape the fate of colonies, command vast fleets, and decide the outcome of wars that span the cosmos.
A true grand strategy
Make decisions on a galactic scale. Explore star systems, expand imperial borders, seize strategic territories, and plan for the long term. Solar Wave blends classic 4X foundations with a living, ever-changing universe.
Indirect control and autonomous fleets
There is no micromanagement here. You set objectives, not individual orders. Fleets act independently, adapting to threats and opportunities as they arise, turning command into pure strategy rather than mechanical execution.
Economy is power
A deep, interconnected economic model stands at the heart of the empire. Colonies extract resources, build production chains, and supply the war effort. Strong logistics and industry are the true weapons behind every victorious fleet.
Battles of galactic scale
Space warfare in Solar Wave is massive and unforgiving. Thousands of ships clash in spectacular battles where preparation matters more than reflexes. Victory is forged long before the first shots are fired.
Key Features
Grand strategy with indirect control and no exhausting micromanagement
A living economy that directly fuels war and expansion
Massive space battles featuring thousands of ships
Striking visuals inspired by dark space opera
An atmospheric, memorable soundtrack
Take your place in humanity’s relentless march across the stars and experience the uncompromising future of the 21st millennium in Solar Wave.

Solar Wave’s upcoming development plans!
Hello everyone! The dust has finally settled, and now I can share some details about what lies ahead.Skirmish Mode: One of the most frequent requests from players was to add a skirmish mode separate from the main campaign. I’m happy to report that work on this is already underway, and it will be released as part of a major patch later this September. Along with it, the game will feature new map templates and several other improvements. Here are a few of the new map templates:Expansion Tools: Another topic that sparked a lot of debate was the mechanics behind the rising costs of station construction and planet colonization. While this system works fine early on, it significantly bottlenecks expansion in the later stages of the game. The original intent was twofold: to prevent the "snowball effect" (where a player's empire becomes unstoppable powerful late-game) and to encourage players to utilize alternative expansion methods with their own unique mechanics.Developing these alternative ways to colonize and build stations will be the focus of an upcoming update. I won’t spoil too much just yet, but these mechanics will revolve around utilizing local resources. Simply put, you’ll be able to assemble a new station right on the spot using harvested metal and other components.Magic: The brutal and unforgiving world of Solar Wave wouldn't be complete without destructive magic, curses, and techno-magical rituals! Naturally, players should have direct access to these abilities.Initially, the combat magic system was planned as the first major update for the game. However, your feedback helped me prioritize more urgent tasks and quality-of-life improvements first. But don't worry, magic is definitely coming to Solar Wave in a near-future update. Just like you, I can't wait to incinerate a few enemy fleets with some devastating spells! 😅Campaign: Right now, the campaign is limited to a small sector of the galaxy. As more content is integrated into the game—such as new technologies...Read full article on Community Announcements (savgusstudio)Patch NotesOfficial
0.8.2 Patch 9
Hi everyone!Another Friday, another update for Solar Wave! Just like last time, this is a minor update focused on Quality of Life (QoL) improvements and a couple of important bug fixes.Production & Trade: It can be tricky to keep track of whether your empire has enough resources and if your trade routes are running smoothly. To help you with this, I've added a new "Production and Trade" window. It features a summary of resource production and consumption, storage capacity graphs, and detailed info on your traders' current status and workload.Bug Fixes & Improvements:Camera System: Fixed a camera bug where it would sometimes fail to reach and follow a target (like a fleet or station) if that target was in a star system near the edge of the map. It should now work perfectly.Map Generator: Fixed an issue where the map generator would occasionally fail to spawn the required number of objects in a sector.Quest System Protection: I've upgraded the quest system to be more resilient. Even if a quest-critical object goes missing for some reason, the system will adapt. For example, if you destroy enemy gates before receiving the quest to eliminate them, the game will now recognize this and adjust your objective accordingly.I hope you enjoy these improvements. As always, I’m looking forward to your feedback!Read full article on Community Announcements (savgusstudio)Patch NotesOfficial
0.8.2 Patch 8
Hello everyone! While working on the next patch—which is definitely no longer "atomic"—I've accumulated a number of quality-of-life improvements that will make the game noticeably smoother. There is no point in delaying their release! The bottom panel has been redesigned, and there is a lot of new stuff here:Sector Manager: Many players complained about having to spend time searching for specific objects, and mentioned it would be great to see all empire-wide information at once. The new Sector Manager window solves this exact problem.Station and planet statistics, new colonization candidates, objects for research, and even enemies in scouted sectors—everything can now be found in this new menu.Notification Settings: Have you squeezed the maximum amount of food out of your current planets, but the population still occasionally complains about hunger? Well, they might just have to endure it until the end of the operation, but you certainly don't have to endure their complaints! You can now customize each individual notification type, disabling it completely or muting the audio only.Auto-Recruit Admirals: There is now an option to enable automatic admiral recruitment for all stations at once. The button for this is also available in the bottom panel.Greedy Traders: Trading admirals will now try to expand their trade contracts more aggressively, leading to a more efficient use of fleet cargo holds. This means higher average fleet load and fewer parallel, duplicate shipments.Hope you enjoy these improvements! And thank you once again for your feedback! Unfortunately, I can't reply to all your emails and forum posts, but I do my best to read everything. Thank you all so much!Read full article on Community Announcements (savgusstudio)Patch NotesOfficial
0.8.2 Patch 7
Hello everyone! A new batch of improvements and fixes for the game is live today, and we have quite a lot updates:Fixed a periodic game crash that occurred when merchant fleets used the "Emergency Jump" ability.Fixed an issue where ability cooldowns would reset upon researching related technologies; a similar bug occurring when loading a game has also been resolved.Rebalanced enemy difficulty for "Sector Hold" missions to align them with the difficulty level of other mission types.Tweaked map generation and planet distribution to prevent star systems from becoming overcrowded with objects.Fixed map generation settings for "Fortress Battle" missions, which previously caused heavy enemy hives to be missing from the map in some cases. The Corps Port now uses the correct population type for its growth. Previously, the station would only develop if military personnel were present.Implemented a minor resource rebalance for "Witch Spires" — they now have more space for mechanisms, allowing for more stable production of arcane capacitors.Read full article on Community Announcements (savgusstudio)
