About this game
Welcome to the Coven
Grab your friends (or make new rivals) and dive into a world where magic is unpredictable, the rules don’t stay the same for long, and every match turns into absolute chaos.
Choose your Sage, pick your spells, and get ready—because no two rounds ever play out the same.
✨ Magical Mayhem, Every Round
This isn’t just a fight—it’s a constantly shifting magical playground.
Between rounds, players unleash Enchantments—wild modifiers that bend the rules of the game:
Spawn tornadoes, fog, or explosive chaos across the map
Flip buffs into curses (or steal them entirely)
Turn the battlefield into something completely unrecognizable
Stack enough of them, and things get gloriously out of control.
🎉 Built for Party Chaos
Jump into fast-paced matches where anything can happen:
3v3 team brawls full of spell spam and clutch moments
1v1 duels for pure bragging rights
Free-For-All madness where alliances last about 3 seconds
Whether you’re playing casually or yelling at your friends in Discord, every match is designed for laughs, surprises, and “WAIT—WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!”
🔮 Ridiculous Spell Combos
Every Sage brings their own flavor of chaos:
Launch enemies into traps, explosions, or other players’ spells
Chain abilities together in ways that feel borderline unfair
Turn the tide instantly with a perfectly (or accidentally) timed cast
Simple to jump into, endlessly fun to mess around with.
🌍 Whimsical, Ever-Changing Realms
Battle across floating arenas bursting with personality:
Crystalline caverns, haunted necropolises, enchanted forests, and more
Interactive elements, shifting hazards, and magical surprises
Designed for constant movement, chaos, and “how did I survive that?” moments
⚡ Fast Matches, Big Energy
No long waits. No slow build-up.
Just jump in and go:
Quick rounds that keep the momentum high
Instant respawns and constant action
Perfect for “one more match”… over and over again
🧪 Experiment, Adapt, Repeat
Winning is great—but half the fun is just seeing what happens:
Try new Sage + Enchantment combos every match
Embrace the chaos instead of controlling it
Discover ridiculous interactions you didn’t even plan
🔥 The Battlefield Awaits
Whether you're playing to win, playing to troll, or just playing to cause absolute magical nonsense—
There’s always another wild moment waiting in the next round.
So grab your Sage, step into the Realm, and embrace the chaos.

Coven Update: The Replay Reel
Play of the Match becomes a proper Overwatch-style highlight: it plays inside the series summary, re-creates spells, projectiles, pickups, animations and damage numbers, and now picks the most dynamic moment of the series. Around it: cross-faded summary screens, a clean rematch hand-off, an Extreme bot tier, and lobby banners that line up with the bodies. Play of the Match The replay now plays inside the series summary as its own panel, layered above everything else, rendered at 1080p with anti-aliasing. Any button skips it; it fades out to reveal the score recap. The replay re-creates the whole moment, not just the fighters: every spell projectile, orb, wall, totem, pickup and death effect that was on screen is ghosted from its prefab and follows its recorded path. Cast bursts fire at the same instant they did live. Fighters replay their real animations: locomotion blends, casts, hits, rolls and deaths are recorded from each character's animator and played back on the ghost, instead of a speed-driven walk. Floating damage, armor and heal numbers pop over the ghosts exactly as they landed in the match, including hits on the featured player. New scoring ladder so the reel is always the most dynamic play. Kill sprees rank highest (double, triple, quad, killing spree), then a plain kill, then cheating death (alive after dropping to 15% health), then a clutch recovery (back above half health within 10 seconds), then a spell frenzy (four or more casts in five seconds with landed hits), and objective plays last. Standing on a relic can no longer beat a fight. Series Summary Screens now cross-fade instead of cutting: the replay fades out while the score recap fades in, and the recap fades out while the accolades slam in. Rematch no longer flashes the finished match. The summary stays up, the screen fades to black, the new realm loads behind it, and the pre-round enhancement vote fades in from black. Team enhancement slots never show white squares. Enhancements without art ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Lunar Royalty)Patch NotesOfficial
Coven Update: Perks of the Coven
In-match Perks arrive: earn XP as you fight and pick spell-specific upgrades three times a round. Around them, a full combat-feedback pass (hit markers, hit sounds, floating damage numbers, kill feed), a spell balance pass across every sage, Play of the Match replays, daily/weekly/monthly Rewards, Quick Match, bot difficulty, equippable titles, and a large batch of new enchantments. Perks New: in-match Perks. Kills, assists, damage, healing and objective plays earn perk XP for your sage. Reach a level and a notifier pulses on the HUD; open the offer (P / D-pad down) and pick one of two cards (Q / E or the shoulder buttons). Three levels per round, and perks reset at the start of every round so each round is a fresh climb. Every perk enhances one specific spell or the ultimate: more damage, a wider area, a longer duration, an extra charge, golem, echo or arrow. Each sage has five perks (one per spell plus the ult); the card shows the perk name, the enhanced spell's icon and what it does. You always get two cards. Perks you passed over at an earlier level can come back at a later one, so the level-3 offer is never a single card. Spell, ultimate and spellbook input is suspended while the offer is open, so the pick keys never fire a spell by accident. Dying with the offer open closes it without spending the level; the same two cards return after you respawn. Picking a perk flashes its icon on the HUD. Key hints on the cards and the notifier switch between keyboard and controller art automatically. Perk XP balance: XP is linear in damage and healing that actually lands. Overkill no longer counts, healing a full-health ally earns nothing, ally heals now credit the healer (they credited nobody before), self-heals earn at a reduced rate, and bot kills pay a kill bonus like player kills. Training teaches perks: a new lesson grants a level and walks you through opening the offer and picking. Damage Indicators & Feedback Crosshair hit markers: every confirmed hit pins a marker...Read full article on Community Announcements (Lunar Royalty)Patch NotesOfficial
Coven Update: Shadows Lifted
Sages & Combat Umbral Sage: fixed being permanently silenced. Dying while Shadow Cloak was active left the "cloaked" state stuck on forever — every spell and ultimate press for the rest of the match was silently ignored. Cloak state is now fully restored on death, and a round-start safety net guarantees no stuck cast-lockout can ever carry into a new round. Shadow Cloak no longer quietly drains your move speed on class swaps. Spells that fizzle (not enough mana, carrying an objective) no longer count as casts. Game Modes Round enchantments fixed. A hidden error during between-round cleanup could cancel ALL enchantments for the round — and on the host, also skip enabling player controls and powerup spawns. Enchantments now apply reliably, and one bad enchantment can never take the rest down with it. Fixed a crash at round end that could hang the whole room on the summary screen. Scoreboard & Stats Brawl K/D/A fixed: kills were counted twice in the match summary (a team with 15 kills could show one member with 30). Pitfall kills also no longer double-credit. Ultimates now count as spells cast — previously no ultimate counted toward the summary, accolades, or lifetime stats. Lifetime records fixed: wins could exceed matches played (31 wins in 29 matches) because both were submitted twice through different paths, and rematches could re-trigger series-end rewards every round. One reliable submission path now; wins can never outrun matches. Team "Coven Spells Cast" now includes teammates' casts instead of just your own, and spell totals no longer carry into rematches. Round XP no longer inflates in later rounds of a series. Shop & Unlocks Amulets & banners now unlock two ways: reach the required level and they're yours free — or buy them with gold at any level to get them early. Locked shop items always show their gold price; it disappears once owned or level-unlocked. (Level requirements show in their usual spot.) Fixed shop lock icons disagreeing with your real account ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Lunar Royalty)Patch NotesOfficial
Coven Update: The Quiet Covens
Coven Allegiances Coven passive perks are disabled for now. Your coven is still part of your identity, but the hidden stat bonuses no longer apply while we rebalance them: Belladonna's +75 max health, Hemlock's faster respawns, Echinacea's heal over time, and Oleander's poison that struck back at attackers. Coven selection screens are unchanged for now; a UI refresh for allegiances is coming separately. Controller Rumble Fixed rumble that never stopped. Dying to a spell just as the round ended — or being hit by several spells at once on the killing blow — could leave your controller vibrating until you closed the game. Rumble is now guaranteed to end. Rumble hard-stops the moment you die, the round ends, a new round starts, you leave a match, or the game loses focus (alt-tab, minimize). Fixed a case where the wrong controller kept rumbling forever when more than one controller (or Steam Input) was connected. Spells and attacks that resolve after you're already down no longer buzz the pad from beyond the grave. Bug Fixes Fixed an error (and a lingering hit effect) when an Undead Minion's attack landed at the exact moment its target's death cleaned the minion up.Read full article on Community Announcements (Lunar Royalty)Patch NotesOfficial
Coven Update: Broom Service
Bot Fixes Bots respawn at their team's spawn points now (with a tiny offset so they don't stack), instead of scattering to random spots on the map. Inferno Surge actually surges — bot Pyromystics were laying their whole fire trail standing still; they now rocket forward like the player cast. Walls rise to full height — bot Stone Walls and Glacial Barriers were coming up half-buried; they now stand as tall as player walls, and Glacial segments chain along the aim line like the player cast. Fixed bots freezing in place while still attacking — a movement latch could get stuck after knockbacks/stuns; bots now self-recover instantly. Gameplay Fixes Resource Scarcity fixed — it was permanently wiping resource spawns (and getting worse every round) and could stop other enhancements from firing entirely. Resources now return when it ends, every time, and one misbehaving enhancement can no longer cancel the rest. Camera fix for dying at the buzzer — if you were dead when a round ended, the next round could leave your camera glued to your character with the left stick steering both. The spectator camera now fully lets go on round transitions. Eternal Necropolis teleport doors are properly chaotic — each door now sends you to a random door instead of its one fixed partner. Lobby Polish Names now line up with bodies — the first player on each team stands in the middle character holder, so their name banner now sits in the middle slot too. Bots show a banner behind their character in the lobby like everyone else. Under the Hood Cleaned up a batch of networking errors (ghost objects leaking between rounds, double-destroys, ID collisions) that could cause console spam and cross-round weirdness.Read full article on Community Announcements (Lunar Royalty)
