About this game
The Cataclysm Restoration Team has been hard at work repairing the damage to the Skarred Wilds, but their most recent project has proven to be more tricky than expected! While restoring a temple dedicated to Masrong, the god of redemption, hordes of monsters started spewing out from the trial grounds beneath the main temple. A lone Robun has been sent to protect the team and solve the mysteries of the temple by delving into the trials below!
Runes and materials can be found within the trials, and while the runes crumble upon leaving, the materials can be used to make permanent versions of any rune they've collected to take in for the next delve into the trials. They'll need to take advantage of this to face the deepest levels of the ever-expanding trials...

Aethershot EA V1.2 Released
Hey all, it's be a little while since there's been updates or news! I apologize for the radio silence but outside circumstances got in the way of me working on AetherShot for a good while. In any case, I have a new update! It's mostly backend stuff for a larger update I want to do soon, but there's still a couple new things to play around with in the meantime!ResearchCrafting runes has instead been replaced by research! The process of spending resources to unlock runes is the same, but this streamlines it. Instead of needing to craft every single rune, you simply need to research tiers of the different runes. Once researched, any rune belonging to that tier will be freely accessible outside of the trials, and can be added to your loadouts. No longer do you need to perform upgrade chains or make 5 of the same rune to have enough for all your spells! However, once in a trial, you will only have access to the runes you brought with you, and any you may find while exploring, so choose what you bring wisely!(Excess runes will be refunded in a later patch)Aetherboosted EnemiesYou're not the only one capable of utilizing the plentiful aether in the trials! Recognizable by the flames emanating from them, enemies that are aetherboosted have greater stats, and drop extra resources when defeated. All aetherboosted enemies have an elemental affinity which dictates which stats get boosted, as well as giving extra resistance to that element.Other ChangesAdded a portable toolkit! Crafting it allows you to edit your spells within the trials (while not in active combat). Crafting additional sets allows for editing your vessel and gear as well. Use by pressing "X" on m&k or "Select" on controllerCombination runes have been removed from loot pools and research. They generally cluttered loot pools and didn't add much that other runes couldn't solve. These runes will be refunded in a later patch, but can still be used if owned.Loot from clearing rooms is now twice as likely to offer mor...Read full article on Community Announcements (ProteanDerg)Patch NotesOfficial

EA V1.1.0 - Sights and Sounds of the Trials
Happy Holidays and Happy (almost) New Year! We've got a big update here today with a smaller one coming in early January! It's time to give the game a huge makeover to get away from much of the temporary art that lined the walls and floors of the Trial floors. Our Artist, Kay and I have been working hard to remaster or completely replace tilesets and objects within the game, and the difference is quite amazing! Old: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45197512/8d266217948128675b7e9c0edf6a8948179cf395.png New: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45197512/96d6a5edf2d1dfeb483ab830143f83c170895c46.png We've also shuffled a few things around in the base camp to make navigating quicker and making npcs more accessible, as well as adding a couple new NPCs! We couldn't quite get everything we wanted ready before the Holidays so there will be a part two to this update in early-mid January next year. Details of upcoming changes are below the main change log! Change log: First floor and base camp tilesets completely remade and re-implemented. Floors two and tree currently use a palette swapped version of floor one, we couldn't quite get the other floors done before the holidays, but they'll come soon! Remade several object sprites such as the crafting bench, well and set dressings like crates, tables and chairs Touched up some other sprites that weren't in need of a full overhaul yet, but will be in the future Reorganized the Base Camp to reduce travel times in the hub and remove redundant staircases Added Derg and Kay to Camp Derg manages restoration materials, buying specific materials for increased prices, and also hears gossip from around the camp. Kay is a restoration artist and is currently busy studying the second and third floor's art. Added sounds for the Player having Low Health, Taking Damage, and full Aether, as well as when their shield starts to recharge. Made enemy health bars red so they are more visible Added Dummy enemies to the base camp for trying out builds Adjusted some room layouts to be ...Read full article on Community Announcements (ProteanDerg)
