About this game

Tempest Tower redefines Tower Defense by combining classic base-building with player-driven movement and combat mechanics. Explore new areas of the map and construct your base during the Build Phase. Battle hordes of Creepers and frantically collect resources during the Action Phase. You can’t be everywhere at once, so build your defenses and pick your battles carefully!

From Bug Blasters that engage enemies at range to trampolines that catapult you across levels, Tempest Tower is packed with crazy contraptions! Personally trigger traps to deal damage to Creepers en masse, and deploy shield bubbles that bounce damage back at foes, there are countless creative tools available to swing the fight in your favour.

Trip Space’s unique flora is your secret weapon! Exploding Bomb-Berries wreak havoc on large clusters of enemies, Bait Bulbs lure Creepers into deadly traps, and Glide Leaves let you soar over vast chasms. Adapt, strategize, and use all the items at your disposal to outwit your enemies.

Forge your path to victory with endless experimentation. Customize your loadout before every level, draft contraptions and upgrades to strengthen your build, strategize with powerful items to create crazy combos. Turn hazardous level elements into tools of destruction and continuously refine your tactics. The possibilities are endless!

Master the intricacies of each level through sharp intuition and relentless trial and error. Strike the perfect balance between building efficient defenses and bolstering your economy to stay ahead. Push your limits with difficulty modifiers or level challenges and claim the ultimate high score!

    Gamescom Round Up

Hello Trip Tenders! What a launch week! We showcased Tempest Tower at Gamescom as part of the Indie Arena Booth, and loved every second of it. Seeing players engage with Tempest Tower and chatting with fans was such a wholesome experience. We event had a line! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45156611/8f20e84467e696417d889def953b58ec971ce54a.jpg Thank you for buying Tempest Tower Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey through Early Access and to everyone who bought the game in this last week. It means the world to us to see people enjoying Tempest Tower. Self-publishing was a brand new experience for us and the response we have gotten from our community has been incredibly rewarding. We hope you continue to enjoy Tempest Tower, and that you keep an eye out for the next Half Past Yellow game (whenever it comes). Remember to Review If you haven't already, we would really appreciate you leaving a review for the game. It helps a lot with discovery and lets players know what to expect from the game before they buy. Thanks in advance! Bundle with Sulfur We are also exicted to be bundled up with Sulfur, an amazing FPS Roguelike made by our friends over at Perfect Random. If you thrive in the hectic action phases seen in the later levels of Tempest Tower and yearn for old-school shooter gameplay, then Sulfur is probably for you. https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/58303/SULFUR_x_Tempest_Tower/ Future Plans Our trip to Gamescom wasn't all about showcasing. We also had meetings with potential porting studios for Tempest Tower. We don't have anything to report just yet, but we would love to see the game on consoles and we are working to make it a reality. In terms of future content updates, we have nothing to report at the moment. We will be keeping a close eye on player feedback and providing hotfixes for any glaring issues that the community discovers in the game. If you have any feedback for us, feel free to post in the Community Hub or join our Discord. Gamescom - Player ...

Tempest Tower is great on Steam Deck!

Hello Trip Tenders,Just one last update for you before the big launch into 1.0 tomorrow. We have been testing out Tempest Tower on our office Steam Deck and it is such a smooth experience. We are making this news post so you know what to expect while we are waiting for official Steam Deck Verification from Valve. Tempest Tower on DeckThe documentation for Steam Deck compatibility lists 3 key areas: input, display, and seamlessness. I will go through each of these quickly to give you a good idea of what to expect. Input Tempest Tower contains native controller support and correctly shows appropriate controller glyphs when using the Steam Deck. Display Temepst Tower supports 16:10 aspect ratio and renders at 1280x800 on Steam Deck (native resolution). The game runs at a consistent 60fps. UI text is clearly readable, with the on-screen fonts never falling below 12 pixels in height (Valves reccomended smallest font size). The game does not offer UI scaling options.Seamlessness There are no issues with running the Windows version of the game through Proton, and no device compatibility warnings while running the game.Video Evidence?! If you don't want to just take our word for it. Check out this little video we took playing the latest version of Tempest Tower on Steam Deck. Try the DemoThe best way to check if the Tempest Tower experience on Steam Deck is up to your standards is to try out the demo. We have just updated the demo ahead of the 1.0 launch and we are really happy with how it performs. Feel free to try before you buy!
