About this game
After losing your job, you leave the city behind and move to a remote cottage. Instead of continuing the life of mundane office work, you take odd jobs to get by; while frequently getting drunk (and driving), fishing, taking saunas, and embracing whatever chaos life throws your way.

Hello everyone! We've gained a surprisingly large number of wishlists since we launched a store page in mid 2025. We think that we're obliged to provide you an update on the current status of MY SUMMER COTTAGE.(To be honest with you, this number is much higher than we expected, considering that we've done a pretty horrible job self-promoting this game so far...)s&box engineIf you're circling around Source games communities, then you probably heard about Facepunch signing a licence agreement with Valve for standalone s&box games. MY SUMMER COTTAGE is powered by s&box, a game engine based on Source 2! We kind of weren't able to confirm this officially before, but now that the agreement is almost done, we can finally confirm that this game is running on the s&box engine. WTF is MY SUMMER COTTAGE?MY SUMMER COTTAGE is a small, humorous simulator of life in Northern Finland for 1-4 players. After losing your job, you're determined to start a new life in a small town. This game revolves around daily tasks, like fishing, hunting and foraging, as well as completing jobs to earn extra money, while encountering all kinds of weird scenarios on your path. Basically, we're just working on a simple, yet fun life simulator with a bunch of activities, random events, and little stories. We want you to hop into it and relax, maybe laugh too. Current StatusWe're still working on the game. In fact, almost everything that you see on our store page is kind of outdated already - it was an extremely early build!
