About this game

In the dark corners of the battery farms, far from the eyes of human collectors, an endless battle rages between two warring factions of awakened eggs, the eggons. For them, humans are an unstoppable threat, against which there is no weapon, only deceit.
Their shared goal is to survive the merciless human egg collection, which drives them into brutal battles over unawakened eggs. These eggs are their only chance - serving as replacements for their own shells and giving them hope for a few more days of life, at least until the next collection.

Play at Your Own Pace
Move slowly and carefully from cover to cover, or jump straight into the chaos and crack anything that moves.
Crunchy Action & Yolk Gore
Shattering shells, splattering yolk, and chaos that grows more brutal with each level - but always with a sense of humor.
Arsenal & Improvisation
Pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, machine guns… or just kick, stomp, and throw whatever’s at hand to crack every enemy in sight.
War in the Henhouse
Explore every corner of the caged farms and uncover new environments packed with enemy types that won’t give you a moment to breathe.
Story & Rising Challenge
Experience an extraordinary story in an extraordinary setting - of one very ordinary egg that refuses to be broken… or collected.

Devlog #1: I am still uncracked
I realized it would only be fair to share a little bit of what has been happening behind the scenes, so you guys can get a better idea of where the project currently stands and what I have been working on.Since I haven't really shared much about the development so far, I thought I would go back in time for a moment and give you some background. This is my very first game project. I started working on it sometime around 2019 - 2020, during the COVID years. Back then, I was learning pretty much everything from scratch. It took me quite a while to understand the basics of GML, figure out animations, and even learn how to create simple graphics using vectors.Since then, quite a few winters have passed. The game has gone through several physical showcases, a major graphical overhaul, countless gameplay tweaks and experiments, and even an appearance at Gamescom. There were many moments when I changed things, rebuilt systems, threw ideas away, and started over because something simply didn't feel right. Now, after all of that, I am finally at the point where I can focus much more on actually finishing the game.Short Gamescom presentationMy main goal at the moment is to polish the existing content, fix the remaining issues, and most importantly, add more story missions and bring the game closer to the version I originally imagined. And for the first time in quite a while, I can finally see steady and visible progress.GameAccess in Brno, CZWithin the next few weeks, I am planning to organize a public playtest. This will give me a chance to gather further feedback, discover problems I might have missed, and mainly prepare the game for a public demo planned for February's Steam Next Fest. The full release should hopefully follow within a few months after that. But there is still plenty of work to do before I start worrying too much about the exact release date. For now, I am just happy that things are moving forward. Thanks for your patience!MartinRead full article on Community Announcements (Marty's Makings)
