THE LAKE LADY is a story-driven realistic horror interactive game.
The river took everything from him. To find his daughter who went missing in the flood, Salvio returns to his hometown as a doctor and infiltrates Hongqiang Hospital for investigation. A childhood friend who hesitates to speak, paranoid colleagues, the sinister threads of the ghost, continuously disappearing children, the off-limits 'Ward No. 9'—what those around him desperately hide gradually unravels the hospital’s true secrets.dy, forcing the horrifying truth behind a catastrophic flood five years prior to surface.
Interact with over ten distinct characters, each harboring their own secrets and motives – from a lost young girl and an obsessed mother, to a childhood friend with hidden depths, and powerful figures with ambiguous agendas. Every character is a vital piece of the puzzle. Understand them, question them... or even become them.
Extensive choices and diverging paths interweave, preventing players from grasping the entire story at once.
In certain branches, you may miss information from others, leading to reversals in relationships and plot twists. Make choices truest to your heart—persuade characters, obtain key items, deduce the truth, and escape perilous situations.
Diverse interactions aid in expressing and understanding the story. Includes a realistic surgery simulator, talisman exorcism based on the Five Elements theory, and side-scrolling exploration/escape—moderate difficulty, easy to learn, fully immersive.
Foreshadowing narrative elements is embedded; no malicious puzzles designed to frustrate players exist.
The game draws from traditional culture to fictionalize dark occult arts, presenting a bizarre and surreal experience. The atmosphere is grotesquely vibrant, with musical shifts heightening tension and quickening pulses.
Nostalgic millennial style, embodying the hazy, humid ambiance of southern China. Metal thermoses, public telephones, grid-patterned sofas… transport you back to the 1990s.

LakeLady 1.5 Final Cut Update: Eight New Languages
Hello, everyone! This autumn, we have updated LakeLady to 1.5 Final Cut and added eight new languages, so more players can experience the story in a language they feel at home with: Korean, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, and Vietnamese. Together with the existing Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese, the game now supports 12 languages. This multilingual update covers the story and choices, menus and interface text, as well as text within images, including diary entries, minigame hints, and endings. You can switch languages in the game's language settings. The Steam Deck version has received the same multilingual content. We have also fixed issues with some settings text being cut off and incorrect selection states when navigating menus with a controller. If you encounter translation or text display issues while playing, please let us know in the Steam Discussions. Including your language, the chapter, and a screenshot will help us polish more of the details. V1.1 Final Cut Version Update1. Added Story Cut Edition: At the start of the game, players can now choose this mode to experience a streamlined story. It compresses all plotlines into one, retaining ten complete story arcs with a re-edited narrative. Date prompts are provided during gameplay, ensuring a clear progression through all events while preserving all achievements. This edition features only one slightly different ending. However, to align originally parallel events into a sequential order, some time gaps have been introduced compared to the original "Story Cut Edition." The original version is retained as the "Launch Decision Edition," and players' existing save files remain accessible in this mode.2. Comprehensive UI Optimization: The game interface and settings UI have been enhanced with improved button guidance and richer visual effects.3. Mini-Game Optimization: Refined the controls and feel for certain interactive mini-games.4.
