This patch includes development changes introduced in June and July.Functional ChangesVarious enhancements to the online chat feature includingChat text box is now auto focused when you hit enterFocus remains in chat box after sending a messageChat disappears after clicking elsewhere on the screen. The main enemy encountered in the game (Lobster Guy as he has been called) now has a poison orb attack. When a player is hit by this attack they will acquire the poisoned status. This status will sap your health for a few seconds before recovering from the status condition.Non-boss enemies now have a chance to hide and retreat from combat encounters when they are close to dying. If they successfully retreat, they will call in reinforcements. Be sure to chase down any fleeing enemies!Only three enemies are ever allowed to run up to the player and perform melee attacks. This prevents players from becoming immobile if enough enemies are in the area trying to melee you. Visual ChangesUI Elements now have custom theming and colors. (These may change in the future)Add particles to crystals that can be shot to obtain ammo infusions.Adjusted some keycard scanners that were clipping into their pedestals.Changed the background color and style of the enemy boss health bars. Bug FixesFixed a bug preventing healing when the warrior's vigor ability is active and an enemy is killed. We have had lots of folks leave the studio/have other things in life take priority over Federation Mycha. For some background, all of us work on Federation Mycha in our free time outside of work, family, and other various commitments in our lives. This change in our staffing has significantly slowed down our development. We will still continue to push out content on our roadmap until we are out of Early Access. We hope to start sharing sneak peeks in our Discord server as new content is ready for feedback. If you want to be one of the first to know about these new changes, hop over there!

    Early Access Update 1.5

Hello agents! This patch includes development changes introduced in May. We want to start off with a larger gameplay feature we've been working on!New Gameplay Feature: Enemy Armor & Gun Infusions!Weapons can now be loaded with certain Mycha crystals to destroy enemy armor. If you have not picked up a crystal previously for a gun you simply need to walk over it to pick it up. If you already have a crystal in your gun, you will need to interact with it to switch out your existing crystal. When you have obtained this crystal press Y on your keyboard to toggle usage of your armor penetrating rounds. You will notice your gun gains a pink outline and your weapon icon background will turn pink to indicate how much ammo you have left. Normal weapon ammo has no effect on armored enemies and requires these new crystals to deal damage until their shield is broken. We have included a visual indicator to the enemy and your hitmarker when you hit an enemy with armor. Additionally there is a large visual effect with sound cues when the shield is broken (see blue particles in the screenshot below). For now, this new feature is limited to the desert boss but will be incorporated into new levels and the tutorial in a later update closer to full release. Here's the other changes we have added with our dev work in May:Functional ChangesDesert level boss encounter has been reworked to use the new shield ammo & has new phasesBosses now have health bars at the top of the player's HUD. Lucas's heal beacon ability has been reworked to use a new asset and has animations. (We have plans to make this ability a throwable orb that expands on impact with the ground which will be enabled in a future update once some bugs are fixed.) Visual Changes Fixed large visual effects on the Crystalink which would move around the entire lobby area. Captain Dean's Warrior Spirit texture has changed to appear more ghostly. Bug FixesPlayer companions (Warrior's Spirit and skeletons) will now prioritize enemies...
