In Refugees: Shelter, you become an ordinary civilian navigating war-torn shelters. Gather resources, build defenses, and face threats from thugs, deserters, and mercenaries as you aid fellow refugees in their struggle for peace.
About this game
Game Play
Collect all the materials that can be used for survival, and build a workbench that can produce sustainable materials. You can choose to help other refugees to tide over the difficulties, or keep the materials for yourself to ensure your own safety.
You can use different equipment, such as bulletproof vests and helmets to enhance your character's defense capabilities.
Get through times of material scarcity by producing and manufacturing daily necessities.
On rainy days, the hearing of hostile NPCs will decrease, but the player's physical strength will decrease faster when outdoors, which usually happens in summer.
When there is snow on the ground, the footsteps of the player outdoors will increase (which means that hostile NPCs can hear your footsteps more easily), and the player's physical strength will decrease faster, which is a more difficult weather situation.
In general, the player has only one goal, which is to survive until the day when peace (truce) comes. The player can choose to help other refugees or not.
The player can even fight other refugees to get supplies.
In the first version, there will only be one character for players to choose from. But I did consider adding different characters, for example, a character with a doctor background will recover from injuries faster, a security guard will have longer lasting stamina, etc.
If new characters are added in subsequent versions, my plan is to update them for free.
Story Background
A premeditated war broke out overnight, accompanied by deafening explosions and raging fires. The once bustling city was instantly plunged into panic and chaos, its former tranquility shattered and replaced by cries of terror and the wreckage of buildings.
Before this war, no one believed that this political struggle would ultimately lead to armed conflict. People's confidence in peace caught them off guard, and many had no time to escape, hurriedly taking refuge in bomb shelters, praying to survive this disaster. These bomb shelters, built 80 years ago, have witnessed the changes of history and now once again serve as sanctuaries for people.

Hello, everyone. This game is a Solo-Indie Game. It has not yet entered the promotion stage because I have too much work to complete.
This also leads to a slower update of my store page and not too many promotional posters, but I will announce the development progress in the community from time to time. Welcome everyone to pay attention to my game.

Recent progress report
In order to prove that the developer is still alive, I have to issue an announcement to prove it. In order to develop this game, I am working part-time at another job, so the recent development progress is relatively slow, but it is still proceeding in an orderly manner. The main development content recently focuses on upgrading the image quality and optimizing the core gameplay. I hope to get your attention~!Read full article on Community Announcements (Kehaw)AnnouncementsOfficial
Latest progress report
Hello everyone~! It has been a long time since I updated. I took a few days off during Christmas. As the project size is getting bigger and bigger, the backup and management of the project has become a more important task now, which has delayed some progress, but fortunately these problems have been solved. Recently, I am making the shelter scene and related gameplay. I encountered some difficulties but it is generally going smoothly. I plan to use 2.5D to show the shelter scene, because this will make the camera closer to the object, and players can appreciate their own "shelter" up close. However, the battle map is the same as that shown in the video. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45214402/01ee20e4c42ab2c09852c31c4fb14df4d2f9ce50.png Finally, thank you for your expectations and attention~!Read full article on Community Announcements (Kehaw)AnnouncementsOfficial

Summary of current development progress
Hello everyone, I haven't updated the latest progress for a long time. Recently I have been busy with the design of the plot, NPC and scenes. At present, it is preliminarily decided that the plot of the entire game will be divided into four chapters. Each chapter will have a clear theme content, and at least 2 special scene levels related to the plot and 2~4 free exploration scene levels. The four chapters of the entire main storyline will have obvious seasonal changes, that is, one chapter corresponds to one season, and each season will have special weather conditions. Because the scenes, NPCs and plots may spoil, I don't intend to reveal too many screenshots and details to you here, please bear with me. Thank you for your attention.Read full article on Community Announcements (Kehaw)AnnouncementsOfficial
Working hard for the first Demo!
Hello everyone, after a week of development, my project has made new progress. At present, all my work is for the first demo version. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45214402/0c742fee1387214f587b35efa5ff57795687d5b7.jpg This week I mainly designed the plot and reconstructed some scenes according to the plot, but please rest assured that this part of the reconstruction work will not delay me too much time. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45214402/b5206f22d9ffc7c8417f6a6e1b177f460bd082dc.jpg Secondly, I added many new detailed models to the game, which will be reflected in the final release version. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45214402/7f54162bda30132481766349521700c6b15ca44d.jpg This week is not all good news. There is also a bad news for me, that is, I was defrauded of some money by a liar, which made me very depressed. It may take me a long time to design the scene and the level of each scene. This is a very important job. War is cruel and liars are shameful.Read full article on Community Announcements (Kehaw)
