About the Game

PANTHEON: RISE OF THE FALLEN  IS A DEEPLY SOCIAL HIGH FANTASY MMO
GAME THAT CHALLENGES ITS PLAYERS AND REWARDS EFFORT.

It has been 500 years since the Deicide War severed the connection between the people and their gods. The Ravaging Lord pushed nations across Terminus to near extinction before the Dragon King himself appeared and brought an end to the bloodshed.

Now, the denizens of Terminus must uncover the mysteries of their past and unlock the silenced power of their gods. For war will come again. And this time the dragons won’t be there to save you.

Explore a Vast Open World

Journey across three continents in a seamless, open world where anything seen can be reached. Discover hidden paths, secret encounters, and rare treasures in a world without boundaries.

Climbing

Climb nearly any surface and seek adventure in every direction, unearthing secrets both above and below.

Perception

Discover clues, dialogues, and outcomes that change based on your adventures and the choices you’ve made along the way. Hone your intuition to see the world in ways others cannot and unravel the mystery with the Perception System.

Unique Skills

From teleportation to conjuring rafts and bridges, there are a myriad of ways to traverse Terminus. What else will you discover in your adventures, and what other paths will reveal themselves when you do?

Climates

Six brutal climates await intrepid adventurers in the far reaches of Terminus. Equip your character to acclimate against them as you ascend windswept peaks, dive to crushing depths, and explore the diverse and dangerous biomes of Terminus.

Fractures

Supernatural forces take root where the veil between worlds thins. Discover specialized artifacts to meet the challenges posed by these unique environments and drive back the invasive powers within.

Day/Night

Hidden things stir when the curtain of night falls on Terminus. Revisit old haunts and previously conquered corners of the world to uncover secrets that only emerge in darkness.

Choose from 9 distinct races and 14 compelling classes to create your character. Brave the dangers of Terminus to grow in power and lend your unique talents to battle, or use your class’s specialized skills to augment others, alter the environment, or provide valuable services to fellow adventurers.

Unlock Your Potential

Achieve greater power through the Mastery System. Invest the experience you’ve gained to enhance your skills and attributes, growing your character to fit your preferred playstyle.

Fortify Your Legacy

Deeds on Terminus reverberate through a complex web of interconnected factions. Grow your legend as a champion of your people or turn against them to curry favor with your foes, wielding your reputation to unlock new opportunities in the endless land.

Stand Your Ground

Go toe-to-toe against a menagerie of monsters in challenging combat where strategy, knowledge, and teamwork make the difference between victory and defeat. Aid your allies in one of four distinct roles: Tank, Healer, Damage, or Support, and choose from a wide variety of class skills to create your custom loadout.

It’s dangerous to go alone. Form adventuring parties and guilds with friends, old and new, and overcome greater challenges for even greater rewards. The best experiences are those that are shared.

Dispositions & Traits

The denizens of Terminus are myriad and varied, capable of spawning with a multitube of different behaviors which alter their behaviors and strategies in combat ensuring that no two adventures are ever alike.

Now What: What Changes from Here

Many of you are wondering, now what?Last week, we said we are working to deliver better builds more reliably. But we also realize we’ve lost a lot of trust with each week that passed without delivering on our Spring wipe. We got excited about what we were working on and announced it before it was ready. We failed our players by announcing our Spring wipe prematurely. Our desire in early communication was to respect players’ time and let them know our target goal as soon as we set it, but now realize it was overly ambitious and hasty. We failed by promising and setting dates on features that weren’t fully designed. Mastery design was still being discussed internally when the original messaging went out with a date.We failed by leaving the impression through our messaging that PTR was more than it was meant to be. We wanted to keep momentum and that resulted in level cap increases before fixing the existing bugs and class issues, before content was adjusted for those levels.Quality Assurance was another failure point. We sent builds to PTR with insufficient internal testing. This put a heavy burden on players who experienced lingering bugs from previous sessions which quickly frustrated our player base. We committed to weekly patches, which we simply could not keep pace with while trying to implement new systems, server and tooling updates, mastery skills, core class kits, itemization, unified NPC templates and ability loadouts. The pattern here is premature and incomplete communication. This is and has been an issue internally and publicly. We have run out of good faith tokens and simply need to get this right from this point forward.PTRThe Public Test Realm was originally intended to be a very rough feature testing realm. Our communication failed to adequately set realistic expectations in a timely manner. Those of you who have been helping test on the PTR, thank you so much. It’s been a huge help as we’ve been exploring our upcoming features.MasteryOnce we realized t...

A Letter from CEO, Chris Rowan

Pantheon community,We have failed to deliver on what we told you we would. The Combat & Progression Update, Mastery in particular, was an ambitious undertaking. It introduced complexities that our technology and platform tools couldn’t handle appropriately. That gap should have been caught before work started but wasn’t. That is a failure of management. Our approach to dealing with this challenge has not produced the progress or results this project needed, and frankly, what our players deserve. As CEO, I am responsible for those decisions and for making sure we address them. I apologize for us falling short.I understand and can empathize with your frustration. You have invested your time, money, and belief in Pantheon, and I recognize that unmet goals have damaged your confidence in us. Earning that confidence back cannot be accomplished with a quick fix. It will take consistent, tangible progress. Many people have come to me suggesting we try to explain our way out to blunt the negative reactions. My response to this is that no magical words or hand waiving will fix this. All that matters is shipping good builds consistently and shipping a great Pantheon 1.0 launch. To that end, we are making a course correction, beginning with how we organize and manage development.Central to that effort, we welcome back Robert Crane back as Project Manager. Longtime players may remember Rob’s management of the successful Seasons production model leading up to Early Access. Rob’s focus will be on strengthening our production processes, establishing and enforcing clear priorities, helping the team plan and deliver work more reliably, and making sure that communication flows smoothly among departments so we can fortify production timelines and get accurate information out to you efficiently and ship good releases. We have also restructured other areas of the team, which has unfortunately meant saying goodbye to colleagues whose work has helped shape Pantheon. This will make room for Rob...

    What We’ve Been Up To – August 28, 2026

Our biggest priority this week has been working to resolve the problems that our testers have been reported with NPC and pet pathfinding and responsiveness. This issue impacts gameplay for everyone and skews the data and feedback that we gather from our Public Test Realm. However, there’s also been some progress in other areas this week as well. Please read below for the details.Design and NarrativeWrapping up the implementation of overheard NPC dialogue for the Port of Rulun, and continuing to implement overheard dialogue in Detihauna. Final conversation trees are being drafted for important NPCs in both locations.Additional work on NPC abilities, including adding more types of abilities that NPCs will be able to use.Working through final NPC population adjustments in Badia de Cara as part of adding combat abilities to those NPCs, and staging for encounters for players adventuring in the area.More updates and fixes for game itemization, based on feedback from our testers on the Public Test Realm.Fleshing out the detailed list of NPCs for adventure areas in Faerthale, including the denizens of regions/areas such as the Faerthale Forest, Oldwood, Lo’thale Outskirts, Fae Hollow, and Mangle Rock.Wrapping up testing on a new game data entry tool. This tool will help address a number of bottlenecks that have historically slowed the team down when it comes to implementing class abilities and masteries, as well as NPC data and item data. Perhaps more importantly, the new toolset also comes with data enhancements that will help us better manage the game data and improve server and client performance.More prep work (mostly UI mockups and spreadsheet work) for starting on the crafting/gathering update implementation in the near future.ProgrammingFocused this week on finding the root cause for ongoing issues with NPC and pet pathfinding.Support for bug fixes as they come up.Finalizing the first release of the new game data tooling that the designers will leverage.Working on ad...
