About this game
Big Jays Rattastic Adventure is a 3D mascot platformer game with tons of collectibles. Every level can be finished without collecting anything, but the more stuff you grab, the better grade you get at the end of each level. Unlock more levels and stuff by getting higher grades or completing certain tasks. Big Jays Rattastic Adventure features a unique retro look through it’s voxel models. Complete optional NPC quests to get bonus achievements. Unlock secret bonus levels by exploring.
You play as Big Jay, the fattest cheese loving rat that exists. Try to get back his stolen cheese. You run, jump, roll, tail helicopter, and attack your way through multiple levels. Each level has a minimum of 3 golden cheeses to collect, and a ton of coins. Jump on giant bouncy mushrooms, ring shooters, and more to fly through the air. Hit speed pads for a speed boost to clear huge jumps and large distances. Use your rat tail as a helicopter and glide through the air. Some levels feature an end boss, while others opt to test your puzzle solving and/or platforming skills.
Big Jay can attack enemies in your path to help clear the way for you. You attack by throwing your bottle of “wheat juice” or rolling over your enemies.
Big Jays Rattastic Adventure has optional graphical shaders to give you an added retro feel if wanted.

Steam input updates and bug fixes - Release 27
Flying Seagull animation on Boggles Beach was a little glitchy, it has now been fixed to where it no longer clips and resets weirdly. (thank you fizzy fox) Flying Pidgeon animation on Ratopolis was a little glitchy, it has now been fixed to where it no longer clips and resets weirdly. (thank you fizzy fox) Fixed an issue where if you are playing offline the game would crash when trying to trigger achievements. This was an issue with moving to the newest version of godot steam. The grading for the Temple of the Owls was too harsh and it is now easier to get an S on the level and it requires picking up far less coins. Widened the rooftop ladders on Ratopolis to make falling off a little harder, as it was too easy to fall off. Fixed an issue on Silly Sewers where you could just jump through one of the solid walls in a very specific spot and fall into the endless void. Fixed an issue where you could skip the sand maze on boggles beach with some creative roll jumping. (screw you fizzy fox) Fixed an issue on pumpkin party where you could stand in part of the waterway and get across without the spinny ride. Took away some of the ground squares from Pumpkin Party around the spinny ride so you can no longer use roll jumping to get across without using the spinny ride. Added a bunch of bushes to the spike trap room in Temple of Owls to prevent people from using the tiny bit of ground to skip the spike trap segments. Fixed an issue where you would collide with the shells for the hermit crab that would prevent from moving for a split second. The cannons on boggle beach now block the octoboss projectiles and its now easier to load the canon The Orange button on Temple of the Owls appeared more flat than the other buttons because of the lighting. It has been scaled on its Y axis upwards to look more consistent with the design of the other buttons. The animation on the well has been changed for the upcoming mine level. The steam inputs have been fixed for all controllers and we ar...Read full article on Community Announcements (SirLargeGaming)Patch NotesOfficial

The Interactions Update
First off, sorry this update was such a long wait, I had a lot going on that prevented me from getting it out in a timely manner, but I will be doing my best to do better in the future. The main addition to this update is being able to interact with background objects, trees, pretty much anything with a outline on it can be interacted with in some way. For controller users, we will be updating the official controller layout soon for steam inputs. The next update will hopfuly include npc text boxes to replace the stupid tutorial signs and also allow for npcs to be interacted with if we want to add them to certain levels.Full patch notes below:Added a interact button (e on keyboard or y on controller)Outline shaders have been removed from anything that cannot be interacted with, collected, enemies, or can be pushed around with physics. If you notice the outline shader on a static object that cannot be interacted with please report it in the steam discussions thread in the bug thread.Outline shaders added to anything that can be interacted with that previously did not have them and enemies that did not have them. If you see an enemy that does not have an outline shader please report it to the bugs thread in the steam discussions.Outline shaders updated to be slightly thicker, have less post processing, and no longer turn the camera black if you move your camera inside of items with the shader, such as larger trees. The following objects are now interactable with using E on the keyboard or Y on the controller: all trees on the weird woods, all Umbrellas on the weird woods and boggles beach, all smoke stacks on ratopolis, fan bushes on the temple of owls, spiral plants on the temple of owls, the secret chest on the temple of owls, the bent trees on the temple of owls, hammocks on the temple of owls, lollipops on the sugar and squeaks levelBillboard textures updated on the city level.Optimized the hedge maze more so it lags less, removed floor shadows (you couldn't see th...Read full article on Community Announcements (SirLargeGaming)
