Patch 0.2.7.2
Hi Everyone,Special thanks to ElectriX for identifying an issue where leaving the game paused for an extended period could cause the player character to slowly sink into the ground and eventually fall beneath the map. The issue was reproduced after the game had been paused for more than 60 minutes.Quick PatchFixed an issue that could cause the player character to slowly slide or sink while the game was paused in a menu.Added an additional safeguard that automatically restores the player to the correct position if any movement occurs while paused. We’re also working hard on Endless Mode, and development is moving along well. If you’d like a sneak peek at what we’re working on, you can check it out on our X:https://x.com/MirariRelics/status/2094039430801564099?s=20Thanks again for everyone’s continued support. Patch 0.2.7
Hi everyone,We have just completed another round of performance improvements and bug fixes before shifting our main focus back to Endless Mode and upcoming content. Work on the URP transition is also continuing alongside development. This patch is primarily focused on improving stability, reducing unnecessary performance overhead, and resolving several edge case bugs reported by players. One of the larger areas we looked at was the Gunslinger and Golden Gun. We found a few unusual situations where weapon swapping or firing the final shot could cause incorrect weapon behaviour. These cases have now been addressed, and we have also improved how Golden Gun projectiles, lighting, explosions, and effects are handled to reduce potential frame spikes during combat. We have also made several smaller performance improvements across enemy AI, effects, shadows, colliders, and background logging. Individually these changes are small, but together they should help provide a smoother experience, particularly during heavier encounters. The Forest remains one of the more demanding environments for lower-spec systems due to its vegetation and scene complexity. We have reworked part of the grass rendering setup, which improved grass rendering performance by roughly 30% in our internal testing. There is still room for improvement, and we expect the ongoing URP work to give us additional opportunities to optimize this further.Mage players also received an important fix. Staff attacks are now correctly recognized as ranged attacks, allowing ranged God abilities and related effects to trigger as intended. Special thanks to C… from Discord for helping us track this one down.We also corrected the visual appearance of the Iron Abomination elite after discovering that part of its material setup was not displaying correctly. This update took us slightly away from new content for a short period, but we felt it was important to improve the foundation before pushing further into Endless Mode. Patch 0.2.6 -Performance, Bug Fixes & Community Feedback Update
Hi everyone,This patch focuses on performance improvements, bug fixes, and several changes based directly on community feedback.FSR Support AddedWe have added AMD FSR support, which can be especially useful for players running higher resolutions or ultrawide displays such as 2560×1080 and 3840×1600.You can find FSR under:Visual Settings → Advanced Settings → scroll to the bottomIf you want to improve FPS, we recommend trying FSR.FSR settings:High: Small impact on image quality with a moderate FPS improvementMedium: Better performance with some reduction in image qualityLow: Highest performance gain with a more noticeable reduction in image qualityYou can choose the setting that gives you the best balance between performance and visual quality for your PC.Community FeedbackSpecial thanks to @断水流大师兄666 for helping us identify several rare map issues, which have now been fixed. Thanks also to Dutchoper72 \ for pointing out that the parasite used by the ranged enemy was too difficult to see in third-person mode.We have now:Increased the parasite size by 2×Added additional VFXAdded grass interaction as it moves through the environmentAnother community suggestion was to show which enemy killed you on the death screen.Sorry, we couldn't find the original player ID again, but the feature has now been added.Rare Death Summary Bug FixedAfter several weeks of testing, we finally managed to reproduce and fix a very rare issue where the death / end-of-run summary screen could become stuck. It appeared to happen more often under very low frame-rate conditions and was extremely difficult for us to reproduce internally. We believe this issue is now fixed. If you still encounter it, please let us know in the Steam Community discussions and include your PC specs, resolution, graphics settings, and any details about what happened before the issue occurred. The more information we have, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix these rare issues.Performance & OptimizationDark Light: Surv...Read full article on Community Announcements (Dark Hunter)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 0.2.5 - Wardrobe System Update
Hi Everyone, The Wardrobe System is now live! This was one of the features requested by the community, and you can now unlock different armour skins and customize how your character looks without having to give up the gear you actually want to use. We’ve also added brand new armour sets that have never been seen before, giving you even more ways to customize your look.Your equipped armour will still provide all of its normal stats and bonuses, but you can choose a completely different armour appearance on top of it.To get started:Visit the Keeper of Seal at the top of Nexus Hold to unlock new armour skins.Speak to Sergeant Rick Harker to access the Wardrobe and change your armour appearance. If you select Default, your character will continue to visually use whatever armour you currently have equipped, just like before. We’ve also added an option to hide your helmet, so if you prefer seeing your character’s face, you can keep the helmet hidden regardless of what you equip.Different armour skins have different unlock requirements. Some can be unlocked using Void or Void Stones, while others may require you to reach certain kill targets or defeat specific bosses. We’ll continue adding more armour skins and new armour models as development continues.Other ImprovementsAlongside the Wardrobe System, this update also includes a number of bug fixes, performance improvements, and optimizations to help the game run more smoothly.Optimization is something we’ll continue working on while we develop our next major update, which will include Endless Mode and the new Quest System. We’re also working on another community requested feature: the Permanent Armour System. The current idea is that during certain in-game events, you’ll have a chance to extract one armour piece from your run and keep it permanently. The system is still being developed, so we’ll share more details once it’s further along.New enemies and new maps are also currently in development. We’re a small indie team, so som...Read full article on Community Announcements (Dark Hunter)
