In Tower Lab, strategize by growing and shrinking projectiles and chaining towers into dynamic defenses. Outsmart enemies by pushing them off the edge in this unique roguelite action game from indie developers Devon Powell and Xueer Zhu.

About this game

・An experimental pure physics tower defense

Enemies have no health. Every robot and projectile is a physics object.

There is NO increasing damage number in this game. Only physics powers to discover, upgrade, and combine.

Choose your tower to grow, shrink, split, merge, blow, hook, bounce, push, pull, fling, suck... objects!

・Upgrade, Reroll, Choose, Progress

Discover new towers, traps, machines, tech trees, and run-modifying cores.

Improve your run with a risk-and-reward economy system tied to how much mass you knock off.

・Sandbox experience with 5 game modes

  • Roguelite Deckbuilding Campaign: strategic contraption and escalating hazard difficulties

  • Standard Tower Defense Arcade: more casual and traditional gameplay

  • Endless Arcade: procedurally expanding map

  • Puzzle Arcade: focus on simulation and optimization

  • Workshop Level Editor: build and share your own creations

・Synergies are not scripted; they happen through strategic contraption building

Bounce mines off the deflector tower panel.

Move bomb tower projectile with your fans.

Shrink robots to make them easier to push, or risk growing them to gain increased rewards.

    The Road to Early Access!

Hey everyone! We wanted to take a minute to say thank you all for playing Tower Lab's demo! The demo has already been live for over 6 months, and we've received tons of valuable feedback, suggestions, and bug reports from all of you during that time. It has been an absolute joy hearing what you have to say and adding your ideas to the game. We're anticipating launching Tower Lab into Early Access in Q3 of this year, and because we're just a two-person team, we want to shift our focus to developing the main game. Tower Lab has grown so much since the initial demo launch that we feel it no longer accurately represents the game, and keeping the demo updated was pulling significant time away from our release plans. We want to put as much effort as possible into the Early Access release. As a result, we have decided to take the demo offline one week from today, on 6/29/2026.If you would like to play the game before then, we have a couple more playtests planned before release. Feel free to keep an eye on the Steam page for playtest signups or join our Discord to keep up to date!Thank you all for checking out the game!Devon & Xueer
