    Mage Apprentice Daily Life

The first ray of morning sunlight pierced through the stained-glass windows of the castle tower, casting its colors on the face of the mage’s apprentice, Eric. Rubbing his eyes, he rose from his simple straw bed. The tower was filled with shelves of magical tomes, alchemical apparatus, and peculiar specimens. The air carried the scent of herbs, mingled with faint currents of magical energy. Eric’s day always began with tidying up the desk of his mentor, Master Orwin. The desk was cluttered with scrolls and ink bottles, most prominently featuring a thick tome titled *The Principles of Elements*. Though Master Orwin was strict, his passion for magic was infectious to Eric. The morning study session was the highlight of the day, during which Eric had to memorize spells, analyze runes, and practice drawing intricate magical circles. At noon, the apprentices would gather to share the coarse bread and stew left by their mentors. During the meal, they exchanged study insights and occasionally debated the secrets of ancient spells. Eric particularly enjoyed listening to senior apprentices recount tales of desert ruins and legends, dreaming of the day he could embark on an adventure himself. In the afternoon, Eric joined his master in studying alchemy. They ground minerals, refined potions, and sometimes spent an entire afternoon successfully producing only a single vial of healing elixir. Each failure was met with Orwin’s reminder: “Patience and focus are the keys to becoming a great mage.” At dusk, the setting sun painted the sky in shades of red beyond the tower. Seizing the last light of day, Eric climbed to the tower’s terrace to practice lightning magic. Standing by the railing, he took a deep breath, focused his mind, and gently raised his hands, letting a faint spark of electricity flicker at his fingertips. At night, the tower glowed with lantern light. Eric diligently recorded the day’s learnings in his notebook—a habit he had grown fond of. He knew that thou...

    Monchi Desert merchant journal

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45097019/912dc8c2b3fe2a3f0b70b6be96368c66322a2565.png In the heart of the desert, the merchant Azma led his caravan across the vast dunes, aiming for a northern market known for its rare goods and extensive trade networks. Azma's caravan consisted of himself, two young swordsmen, Shaha and Faar, the experienced nomad Aeli, and the skilled craftsman Karl. Their cargo mostly included silk, spices, pottery, and leather goods, but Azma’s other goal was to gather unique items to enhance his trading reputation. One day, while traveling through the desert, Azma's caravan encountered a group of three adventurers. The leader, Bald, was a middle-aged man with eyes sharp from years of surviving the desert. He wore a simple desert cloak and was accompanied by two younger companions, both with heavy backpacks that clearly contained some valuable items. "Are you also heading for the northern market?" Bald asked, his voice calm but curious. Azma nodded and smiled. "Yes, we are planning to trade some goods there. Do you have anything of value that you would like to exchange?" Bald paused for a moment, then carefully opened a small box from his pack. Inside, there were three glowing Mana Stone. These stones emitted a faint light, as if they contained some kind of unique energy. "These are Mana Stone we found in an ancient ruin," Bald said, his voice tinged with pride. "They're not like regular gems or minerals. Each one carries a peculiar ability that grants different powers to the one who possesses it. We’re looking to trade them for basic supplies, like food and water, to help us continue our journey." Azma’s eyes immediately lit up. Mana Stone—such rare and powerful items—were certainly the most valuable trade goods he had encountered in a long time. He quickly assessed the potential value of the stones. These stones were not only useful for mages, but also for all adventurers. Shaha and Faar, the swordsmen, could use them to enhance their physica...

    The Monchi Desert Legion log

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45097019/80de6aa68524c2d67247b30b302c8c4bcb4e839c.png The Monchi Desert stretched vast and boundless, like a golden ocean devouring all hope. By day, it was scorched by a relentless sun, with heatwaves shimmering across the dunes. By night, it turned icy cold, its silence profound and oppressive. At the heart of this desolate expanse stood a lone stronghold—Galehold. Like a lighthouse in a sea of sand, it guarded scattered oases and wandering caravans, serving as the final bastion of the kingdom's frontier. Alan, a young soldier, was one of Galehold’s few defenders. Though still in his early twenties, Alan had spent several years stationed in the desert. His duty was to guard the watchtower, ever alert to the dangers lurking in the shifting sands. From the howling winds of the Monchi Desert, Alan had learned to listen keenly, and under its endless starry skies, he had mastered navigation. Yet, the monotony and isolation of his days often filled his heart with a yearning—a yearning for adventure and escape. On this particular day, Alan stood atop the watchtower, his gaze sweeping over the undulating dunes. A flicker of movement in the distance caught his eye. He squinted, raising his telescope to focus on the source—a caravan. But something about this caravan was unusual. Its formation was disordered, the camels moved slowly, and many of their saddles were bare. As they drew closer, Alan noticed the fear etched on the travelers' faces as if they were fleeing from something dreadful. When the caravan finally reached the fort, its leader dismounted hurriedly and rushed to Alan. “Help us! Please, help us!” he cried. “Monsters emerged from the desert. They attacked us, destroyed everything, and they’re still following us!” “Monsters?” Alan asked, his brows furrowing. The leader, trembling, described the creatures—towering shadows rising from the dunes, their eyes glowing with an eerie light, and claws that tore effortlessly through tents and ...

    Camp rest story

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45097019/dd9119fa2604f1db0ffe635ba72823ef56f3a80b.jpg In the vast wilderness of the Mongqi Desert, an expedition team, after several days of arduous trekking, finally found a suitable campsite to rest. The campsite was located in a tranquil valley, surrounded by tall trees, creating a natural barrier that isolated the noise and danger of the outside world. The members of the expedition team were exhausted, their clothes tattered, and their faces etched with the signs of wind and hardship. The leader of the team, an experienced old adventurer, climbed to a high point and carefully observed the surroundings of the campsite. Once he confirmed that the area was safe, he gave the order, and the team members began to work systematically. Some were in charge of setting up tents, others went to find a water source, while others started preparing a fire for cooking. The team members responsible for setting up the tents worked quickly and skillfully. They secured the tent frames and then draped the heavy canvas over them. In no time, several tents stood firmly on the ground. The team members who went to find water also had success and returned to the campsite with water-filled skins. The clear water sparkled under the sunlight. Meanwhile, the team members in charge of cooking had already started a campfire and placed an iron pot over it. They put the dried food they had carried with them and the wild vegetables they had just gathered into the pot. Soon, the smell of food began to fill the air around the campsite. While waiting for the food to cook, the team members sat around the campfire, tidying up their gear. Some were cleaning their knives and swords, some were mending their torn clothes, and others were checking on the condition of the camels. When the food was ready, the team members gathered around and eagerly dug in. Though the meal was simple, it was a rare and much-needed delight for their hungry stomachs. After the meal, the sky grew dark...
