Explore Ember's Verge and craft your way through a survival challenge set on a deserted island. Gather resources, adapt to harsh seasons, and make choices that shape your unique adventure with no supernatural elements to distract from the raw struggle against nature.

About this game

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to find yourself in the wilderness with no tools or resources? In this PvE sandbox survival game, you'll need to rely on nature, bushcraft, and careful planning to endure. Every choice matters from maintaining your fire to managing food, water, and a roof top the head.

Stranded on a deserted island after being betrayed by an accomplice, with no one coming to rescue you, survival is entirely in your hands. Set up a safe shelter, craft tools, forage for food, and prepare for the changing seasons. Fire is your lifeline, and protecting it, along with yourself, is essential to make it through the harsh elements.

CRAFTING

With no modern gear, you must craft everything from raw natural materials. Craft primitive axes, knives, bows, and clothing. Unlock faster and more efficient production as your skills grow. Use natural resources to shape everything you need.

FOOD AND HUNTING

Effective food management is crucial. Forage for wild vegetables, cultivate seeds for higher yields, and secure calories with traps and snares. With a bow you can hunt animals directly for a more reliable food source.

WOOD & RESOURCES

Resources are everywhere, but usable materials require the right tools. Cut logs, split timber, gather stones, and manage what you carry. Efficiency becomes vital as winter approaches.

SHELTER & LIVING SPACES

Shelter isn’t about building elaborate bases, but about surviving the harsh elements. Find a safe place to rest, protect yourself from the wind, and reinforce your camp to survive storms and the coldest winter nights.

SEASONS

  • Summer: Abundant resources and mild weather.
  • Autumn: Cooling temperatures, but still time to prepare for winter.
  • Winter: Harsh cold, scarce food, and deep snow that slows movement and buries your resources.
  • Spring: Warming days but limited supplies demand careful planning.

WEATHER & HAZARDS

Dynamic weather directly affects your survival. Winter storms may force you indoors to stay warm, while floods and droughts create additional challenges that require careful planning and adaptation.

DECISION

Decide whether to remain on the island or eventually leave it behind. Your adventure, your choice.

    Game Update 1.1.85

Greetings, bushcrafters! This patch mainly focuses on Quality of Life improvements and various bug fixes. However, I was also excited to add the new Awning. This gives you more freedom to customize your house and protect items outside.Got feedback? Join the Discord and share your thoughts! https://discord.com/invite/t9mevX9jDf Also, if you've been enjoying the game, please consider leaving a Steam review. It’s the best way to support a solo project like this! New Construction: AwningAdded a new exterior wall attachment to protect items and drying processes from harsh weather conditions. Quality of LifeReplaced "Perceived Temperature" with Body Thermal Equilibrium. This gives a better representation of whether your character feels cold, neutral or warm. Hopefully this eliminates confusion around negative degrees. Smokers and similar structures can now be placed indoors. As a result, placing free-standing structures around your base is now smoother and more forgiving. Constructions like charcoal mound, bloomery and water still require rather flat ground.Wall racks can now be placed to both sides of walls. Same mechanic as with tables, which was added a couple of versions then.Dismantling structures now refunds all the materials. Construction start condition is now tied directly to the raw materials used. This makes base building much more experimental and forgiving. Added a roof placement direction preview. This setting can be toggled on or off in the settings menu.Other Updates & Fixes:Codex: Expanded guides and descriptions, particularly on the Essentials page. Change: Iron cauldron weight reduced to 1,5 kg.Change: Spoiled and burned food now displays its actual condition instead of showing 0%. Previously set to 0% due to the low quality nature of these items, showing their actual status makes inventory tracking much more consistent. Change: Shaped granite has been renamed to “Sharpened granite” to better describe the use of the resource.Fixed bug: In some special ci...

    Hot fix 1.1.76

    - Pot water level indicator in a container where missing. Now returned. - Item piles can be created on a table. Also piles collider has been refined to ensure that they can be put on a table. Sometimes a pile collider is too big, rejecting placement near another item, when it can be obviously seen that there is plenty of space. Will continue refining later. - Iron prills can be piled now.
